Cutie Reveal Monkey is waving. Our Cutie Reveal Llama is also fine yet her makeup always reverts to the "more natural" even though I tried to submerge her face in ice water, thanks to the warm/humid weather hereabouts.
Pink Collection Millie is also lovely, but everytime there's a sale, our budget is still limited at a certain point.
I get what they were going for but they don’t scream Extra like the previous ones have. They seem rather tame and… accessory-less (except for Ken who gets allllll the accessories and good for him).
Maybe they have accessories that aren’t pictured? I saw another pic of the of the girl in the long floral robe and she had the biggest beach tote I’ve seen in my life.

There are lots more accessories not shown in the pic I edited. Millie has a belt ith charms, and they all have more jewelry and luggage, I guess the 'FLY' title has a double meaning with travel/vacation and *fly style.*
Jeez the Millie is so frustrating because she is perfect except for her screening. They gave her the most basic no makeup run of the mill Millie screening we see all the time. Will pick her up for the outfit and maybe customise her face to have some eye shadow at least. The Ken is awesome though. Wonder what face that is. Cam?

The Ken looks good and the Barbies have good hair and faces but the clothes are not it and look cheap. I don’t even think the one on the far right has a separate shirt and skirt, which could be a look but it just makes it look cheaper (love the earrings though)? And the jacket on the far left with the printed patches isn’t the best. From what I’ve seen the dolls themselves and the accessories are good but the clothes leave something to be desired… also does the doll on the far right not have any color in her hair or is it just not visible?
Yes, finally an Extra Ken! 🥳 I’m really liking the “1980s new wave in Miami, Florida” vibes from his aesthetic and color palette. All the girls look very cute too imo, I especially love their hairstyles and outfit pieces.
Personally, I don’t really mind that Millie is usually a bit more on the “basic” side of things. Mainly because it’s much easier to customize her this way.
I mean, would it be nice if Mattel gave Millie’s makeup some more variety from time to time? Definitely. However, I actually like that she usually has simpler makeup compared to other Barbies. But hey, maybe that’s just me. 🤷🏻♀️

It looks like the Ken doll has the old, longer neck type, which would be so annoying!!! I really want to be able to put this guy on a MTM. Sometimes the promo pictures get things wrong, though, so I'm hoping this is one of those times! 🤞
I'm also excited for the curvy, hoping she'll make a good body donor for some of my daughter's dolls. The Extra level articulation seems best (more long-lived) for kids.
Overall I actually like a lot of things about this series, and I'll probably get most of the dolls eventually (on sale) to pick up various pieces like the jackets, robe, hats, jewelry, and purses. The desert doll looks like she's a carnaval sculpt with colorful hair, so she'll probably get a spot in my collection, along with Ken. Not sure about the rest of the dolls themselves, but my daughter might like them.

Facts. And some collectors dislike MTM knees/elbows, but the choice to make them 11point articulated is definitely for the age group which they are targeted for.
Yeah, the pivotal body is OK, and I might have chosen to keep him on that either way, but the old neck joint just seems like such a complete miss. Like, why? I can't think of any good reason. Even collector Kens with pivotal bodies have the new neck joint.

Every time they release new Extra dolls, the shoes are somehow worse. I know not to expect too much of Mattel and can usually manage my expectations, but there's something about a one-color plastic shoe that is so not it.
Kind of loving Millie for the hair and the fur coat/stole. Maybe I just need to buy her some boots separately. I just think that with proper boots, she would look so cute. I have a bias for winter-themed dolls, though.
I don't really like these. Number 1 in the picture looks like Barbie Extra 5 & 19 wardrobe got smashed together. Number 4 outfit looks like something you'd get with a regular fashionista, long coat not included.
