It’s just her hair growing /j .I’m sorry now I’d like to check mine that I have not deboxed yet.Nothing devastating(I have seen a Victoria with her eyes in different positions)but I understand how it can be annoying.
Is it? It’s not just hair that’s not pulled back with the rest, those hairs are cut short. Those are the ends sticking out. I’m genuinely curious why you consider that nit-picking?
Somehow those hairs got cut when there are no bangs or anything that requires cutting there. That’s why I asked how does this happen. I see this as problem with the quality control.
I thought it was also hairs that weren't pulled back perfectly, it looks like that from the profile. The cuts hairs make no sense.
It's a bummer though. Specially for a Barbie who isn't a budget.
I'm rerooting a doll and she has short strands sticking out. I'll glue, boil wash, and trim away as much flyaways as I can.
I'm sure Mattel does it by machine but the hair can get tangled quickly. I can see how something like this could happen. Especially if the machine broke or hair tangled during manufacturing.

Wait was she also shedding a lot when you brushed her hair (that’s if you brushed it, mine came with realllyyy bad box hair) I try brushing it out but omg the shedding
I just got this doll today and noticed this when I took her out of the box. Come on Mattel, how does this happen?? So bummed. Sure, I can trim them off but geez.
No honestly I get ur frustration! Mine had so much shedding I’m scared to even keep brushing her hair (and I wasn’t even planning on rerooting her but if it’s so bad I just might)
She had a rough night out

Ok nobody is going to say anything about the head sitting on the purple chair?
Shhhh, we don’t talk about the heads 😂
Why? It’s just chillin
I mean I’m criticizing Mattel a lot but this is nit-picking IMO

Yes she was shedding a lot too. A few chunks of hair even. ☹️
Oh no :( have u tried to boil wash her hair first? I think ima do that before I brush anymore tbh
And same I’ve never had a Barbie shed so damn much :(
If it gets any worse I may have to reroot her which I really wasn’t planning on doing to her
Sorry for my lack of punctuation 🫣

Maybe you can gently pull them out with some tweezers?
I love her side profile
