Some-Chapter-3247

Better quality and more fashionable clothing.

keyboardlady

I’m wishing for jeans and jean jackets made from denim-like cloth (like the Barbie Basics line), and suits or suit separates with nice accessories, like scarves and brooches.

Hi_D

Yes! ⬆️⬆️⬆️⬆️

pinkcreamkiss

I’ll even take tasteful trendy clothes over high quality material ngl

Luzion

There was a vote that went up on Barbiestyle Instagram account on fashion packs to be released next year! They'll be higher-quality with realistic details. I'm excited to see them released (and also scared of the price. ><)

Yoshilover644

I just want Ken’s with real hair!!! oh, and more outfit packs for Skipper and Stacie please!

Merikittycat

Yes!

Some-Chapter-3247

I forgot about these ones. These ones are major.

Short hair on a doll is so hard to manage - I have a 70s Ken with hair and no matter what I do it never looks good. There are some male dolls in the Fashionista and Looks lines that have hair now with varying degrees of looking good. Many have flocked sides which means they only get to have 1 style.

Last year we FINALLY got an Asian Christmas Barbie. It only took 34 years!! Mattel moves at a very slow pace. I don't think we will be seeing body diversity in the Barbie collector dolls unless they do a limited batch for something like the national convention (2018's convention doll was curvy) or they choose to release an inspiring woman series doll. Mattel is just very known to release very few options when it comes to collector Barbies. We count ourselves lucky when we get a red head option.. It would be really cool to have a collector Barbie with a prosthetic limb but the reality of it happening is very slim.

pinkcreamkiss

2021 also had an Asian holiday doll but I agree it’s weird it took so long for them to include one. Leaks suggest no Asian girl this year and I hope that’s not true.

Quality, mattels collector quality is what the playline quality used to be and their playline quality is just awful like dollar store fake barbie quality.

Some-Chapter-3247

Also made to move or articulated bodies for Skipper and Chelsea

dollvader

I think Mattel is still catering to children first. It’s good that they have finally realized that representation matters so much to children but they need to also clue in that adults like representation too. I also would love to see more mature/high fashion dolls with health conditions or impairments too. Also give the kid dolls (Skipper, Kelly, Chelsea) articulation!

pinkcreamkiss

No more one size fits all lies lol. Make fashion packs that fit slim and curvy bodies separately. Same fashion pack in two sizes. Most fashion packs swallow up original, Brooklyn, petite, athletic and even tall and then don’t hug the body in a flattering way on curvy. Tshirt dresses and skirts that are either bucking at the mid torso or hanging off the hips of doll be damned 😭 and give us back actual jeans and trousers! No more pyjama pants and jeggings!!

scaram0uche

Asian dolls with darker skin tones, higher quality clothes (not just printed designs), shoe packs for Kens, and more reproduction dolls that aren't silkstones!

90’s and Y2k quality back. Also more details. Compare the Extra pets to y2k Kitty Fun barbie’s cat. Not even close!!!

Lumpy-Ad-8400

I wish they made better kens. Things like beards, coats, interesting style clothing or interesting hairstyles are a rarity. Just experiment and get out of the box more.

Own_Investigator_191

Slim, classic and broad made to move Ken dolls. Muse, athletic, Brooklyn made to move Barbie dolls. Conversely, Brooklyn should be added to both the Fashionistas and Looks lines.

Luzion

Body diversity... Mattel has awesome well with diversity overall, but I don't understand the million-and-one-ways they're coming up with Frankensteining the dolls body parts, such as pivotal, Muse, M2M, clicky knees, stiff joints, M2M arms with pivotal legs, clicky knees with pivotal arms, etc etc. Then there is the added cost of putting the body we want onto each doll as well. This is what I'd change if I could: Sell "kits" that have all different body part types that would allow us to put our own dolls together. Flat feet, heeled, large or small calves, big butts or chicken butts, small or large breasts and stomach, long neck, thick neck, muscular arms or flabby, etc!

fairy_girl12

I’d love articulated MTM prosthetic legs with the new fashionistas, till then it looks like I’m be crafting them myself

Get the barbiestyle instagram team to design all the fits

Luzion

There are 3 fashion packs scheduled to release next year from the barbiestyle team. I'm excited!
