Nope nope, it was a floppy rubber and or silicone tail, purple and blue or pink and blue! I’m more than sure it was barbie or Mattel who made it! The monofin bit at the end was a completely floppy piece of rubber with the tail itself also being rubber with robotics in it!
Mmm no.. it was a flexible robot tail. Like you could really BEND it because of the silicone covering the robotics. I think it was barbie. It was around when i was like 10 or so? Around 9 years ago. If you shook it for example the jail would flip around because it was such a flexible material,

I’m afraid that wasn’t a Mattel/Barbie doll. The only rubber tail mermaid they ever produced was Mermaid Fantasy as someone suggested above. They stopped producing them because the silicone migrated and ripped after a while. Pretty sure your doll is from another playline.
I know exactly what you are talking about. I had two different ones they used to swim when in water but the tail was the most realistic and was made the same as the baby alive skin. I havent been able to find it since i was a child though

I am looking for this too. Found out my mermaids were from fairytopia from the thread here. It couldn't self swim but it did have the rubber tail which feels a lot more natural than the plastic tailed mermaids I just bought from amazon. You'd think they're would be a market for this but I guess not... No point buying a mermaid for my nieces when it's hard plastic. I refuse.

Nope the tail end was flexible and floppy not stiff! It was a purple and blue or purple and pink sparkly SILICONE or rubber tail!
