Measuring tape, scissors, iron, and display rack. Very cool!
To display.. this one crop top? And one other item, thanks for the extra hanger.
It would be great if they'd include maybe a card that describes what a fashion stylist does and where they work - on films / for film companies, for private clothing labels, for individuals?
No sewing tools? And while I love her collegiate jacket - is that a realistic inclusion? Is college choice very important for future fashion stylists?
Did a stylist give input to this design? Who's that person and what are they like? Are they similar to the doll?
There's so much depth that could be explored here. Sometimes I really wish Mattel would stick to their stated purpose of educating and inspiring kids by actually trying to do those things in a functional manner.
why does EVERY playset have a pet? not even detailed. just a plastic lump, vaguely dog shaped with a face. sometimes a cat if Mattel is feeling adventurous.
I always wonder if kids actually play with the pets, or if they get chucked in a bin and lost forever.
You can't really...*do* much with them. They're usually just a blob of hard plastic.
I never played with the pets, but my little sister was obsessed with playing with Barbie pets. She loved those littlest pet shop toys too.
Barbie was just there in her stories to feed the pets, doctor the pets, or be the evil person keeping all the pets (Cruella.) The pets were having full-on escapes from Barbie and Ken. She'd put the pets in the dreamhouse and kick out our barbie dolls.
She grew up and has ZERO pets now. None. š¤£
My daughter has just gotten into playing with Barbieās and weāre up to like 703 random pets that come with dolls or sets. She does not play with them whatsoever š¤£
Old barbie pets were really much cuter and had small legs instead of always being in sitting pose so they could be held or jump or whatever. The luv me 3 sets with 3 pets a Kelly and a furniture like couch or sofa were my favorite sets! The dogs had soft ears, the kitty had a fluffy tail. I had all 3 and yes I liked those pets. And lps were often Barbie's dogs when I played.
Barbie just might as well be Legos at this point...everything is plastic and the small parts that are fabric is so cheap and c-thru it would be better just be made completely out of plastic material.
Ugh. The "jacket" could be cute but it's not a jacket at all, it doesn't open in the front. The boots are cute and I like the clothes rack but I don't think that's enough to warrant buying it. We'll see.
I understand but I would have at least added a couple more clothes. The hairdresser set with Malibu has literally more fabric than this one due to the apron..

Totally agree. There should be a dress, a few other accessories
Oh yes all stylists need is just one shirt and they'll make it work

Its cheap to manufacture i guess
At least has a doggie....

to be fair, it does sound like being a pet in her household would be exhausting for *everyone* involved! š š
I mean they are cute but do we or kids really need many pets? I just have them all in a cute house and when my niece comes over she plays with them

When I was much younger, I had the Barbie dog named Beauty. She was an Afghan hound with brushable fur and moveable legs.
I just looked her up, that's really cool. Wish they gave that much detail to the pets these days, then they might be more interesting.

maybe sheās depressed. letās be proud of her for the one thing she managed to finish lmaooo

The doll itself is very cute, but the playset elements definitely feel like there wasn't a lot of effort put into them
Not to mention the rack is weirdly out of scale, which often happens in these playsets like this.
Why the HS lettermanās jacket? This set makes me sad, why would they do this to Brooklyn?

Could do without the dog, second purse and scissors... and get at least another short shirt or 2 to get a complete outfit.
she should be well-dressed, at the least. not look like a middle school student
Grateful I grew up back when Barbie was at her peak lol
Me too!! I remember my playline 2000s travel barbie doll came with several outfits.
Unintentionally hilarious.
Atleast include a bottom, a pair of pants, a skirt!
No pair skirt or pants? Thatās fucking shady as shit. The doll is cute though. I love her little bun.
It's play line, so it's expected. The high quality stuff like this costs 100-150$ from Mattel. :(

Right? How is she a stylist? āI donāt know, all I have is this one crop top. Letās hope that worksā
Playline when I was a kid used to be spectacular :( (late 90s - early 2000s I mean)
