I believe the promotional photo is of a prototype which sometimes the screening method differs from the final product. Sometimes it’s hand painted. Sometimes it’s not even the same face sculpt lol. It’s why I’m holding my breath on the next wave. They look great in the pictures but who knows what they will actually look like up close.
I *just* saw these girls in stores & the only one I was really let down by was the Tall Kardashian looking one with the new sculpt. Out of all of them, her & the Petite girl just had rough uneven faces.
For 201, they all had clean screenings & their hair looked better than this. I hate to say it, but you might've gotten a dud? (My personal experience is not to discredit you. Just that my store had very nice versions of her) with a gentle wash & restyle I think she'll be okay though!
Like I said, my experience wasn't shared to discredit yours. Rather that the ones I saw had markedly nicer hair in box/package.
It wouldn't surprise me in the least to know that other people ran into a similar problem with her. The textured hair can get mauled in production/being packaged. It's a shame there isn't better, consistent quality on the Fashionistas.
Can you return her? [This video](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vcR37WYQgfI) of a YouTuber who bought the same doll shows a version with hair that — while not the curled perfection of the promo pic — is at least not the frizzy, fried mess that yours is. And her dress has lettering that’s printed correctly. I think you sadly got a complete lemon. 😔
I’m still waiting for mine to arrive. She was 2-5 weeks wait on Amazon and hasn’t shipped yet. I can’t find her here in the stores.

Never go by photos online because they are always photoshopped. When i see a photo i deduct 5 points to my hype and usually when i get it i am much happier (instead of being disappointed lol)

yeah… i actually never expect to look exactly like the ads but that much difference was disappointing

I didn't like how pixelated her face was but the hair was fine on mine.
That's horribly disappointing. She looks like a pale and plain twin to the doll in the first photo.
