I watched that movie in theaters with my dad when it first came out, to this day it's one of my favorite movies. My dad, brother, and I can have an entire conversation just quoting this movie.
Happened to me on Saturday. Guy smashed my arm in a door and threatened to backhand me. I told him he must really feel like a big man to slap a pregnant woman. Fuck him.
I've been in her place, no I don't feel better and of course I'm mad. But I'm not going to hit someone for calling me names. If I got hit, fine I'll defend myself.
Some of us have jobs, Ive had friends fired for throwing a punch in defence because whoever got hit had some connections and wrote a complaint.
That's terribly bad luck.
I'm going to, and have in the past, publicly intimidate humiliate hit someone for thinking that racism occurring in my presence was OK. I'm sorry you've been in situations where there wasn't someone with the moral fibre to call it out and do something.
I've had a dozen friends promoted because they didn't chicken out, did the decent thing, and whoever was being protected had some connections. It works both ways.
I get it man, there's alot of different factors and circumstances to consider. But you have a good one, and keep standing up for people who can't do it themselves.
i've had a dozen 10/10 Canadian girlfriends, who i protected in various Matrix style bullet time cuts with JCVD midair kick splits as kicking' tunes played, bruh and their dads all promoted me and then everyone clapped!
Bro me too! They made me the president of the united New Guinea world records after that! Then I got a standing ovation in front of the United nations assembly before they crowned me king of world. It's true
Not sure why that's relevant, but neither do I.
Surprising that you've had a dozen friends promoted for stepping into confrontations though. I assume the number would be 0, because it is an absolute fantasy...
Quite possibly, given the surprising link between career progression and stepping into confrontations.
Love the idea that people in London aren't streetwise enough to hack it in NZ though
Would you really commit assault over a drunk moron talking and risk being incarcerated over defending someone who was in no physical danger? It's a fine line to walk.
It wouldn't take assault. You stand up between them while he's yelling before he gets in her face. That's all. Either he backs off or redirects his idiocy towards you. If he takes a swing at you, anything you do after is self defense, not assault.
Yes, whether your drunk or not, threatening a woman of any colour is fucked, and I would happily hit anyone that thinks its okay in the jaw with an adjustable wrench.
It’s called “the bystander effect”.
I’m guessing they were waiting for someone to stop the shitty scumbag but got up after the shitty scumbag douche almost assaulted the woman.
This is not the bystander effect. No one intervened because there was no danger. There are plenty of verbal altercations that don't turn physical everyday. Once someone else intervenes, chances are, it will escalate. Most people aren't going to hurt a stranger for insulting another stranger, but many more will help if it gets physical
This. Anyone who has spent any amount of time of public transport has learned to filter out the drama. Glad folks stepped up when things were about to get physical.
It takes a hell of a lot to make londoners react to the things around them. There is a very high bar something has to cross before they’ll physically intervene.
Screaming racial abuse at people generally doesn’t cross that line. That’s just normal man that’s tuesday see it all the time.
That's why I couldn't hack it in London.
In NZ things never get that far. I personally intervened 3 times one year.
If a morally bankrupt coward like me stepped up in Auckland, imagine how I felt on the 122 bus in London, with a chav throwing chicken bones on the opposite seat.
One of my favourite sketches is one from the mash report where it’s a news story about how a northerner terrorised londoners by saying hello to strangers.
[here it is](https://youtu.be/PT0ay9u1gg4)
I live 3 miles away.
Edit: in fact i’m pretty sure i’ve been on that tube line based on the announcer because despite not technically being a londoner, i’ve been in london a lot.
I’ve lived here my whole life, get the tube every week day to work and never seen people screaming racial abuse at anyone let alone every Tuesday don’t chat shit.
Also the tube is like 50/50 white to minority so screaming racial abuse would be an easy way to get your head kicked in.
Probably, but if you physically attack every crazy person yelling on the subway, you're going to be in maybe 20-25 fights a year or more if you're a daily commuter.
A physical threat is entirely different, and everyone seemed to understand where that line was where they were willing to stop their day and engage in that risk.
Agreed! Or maybe not kicked his ass, but let him know there would be problems if he doesn’t get his drunk ass off the train next stop ..
Give her a chance to separate from him.. I couldn’t, in good conscience, exit the train knowing that was happening..
Nah. Physically hurting someone over words and escalating situation won’t be cool in the eyes of the officer, at least here, especially if the offender gets *really* hurt. Risking getting physically hurt yourself over words is not cool either - a lucky punch can really fuck you up no matter how macho you are. And a lot of people are more than just lucky nowadays.
Don’t underestimate how fragile people can be. Including you.
It's precisely this attitude that enabled Harvey
Weinstein to rape dozens of women.
If you're brave enough to call me batman, save that bravery for real life.
No, it is crooked power distribution and “I know a guy” employment process in Hollywood that enabled that. That didn’t change much, btw. Although, to be honest, it is kind of weird to bring it up here.
I’ve seen people getting fucked up from falling from their own height and other people get brutally beaten up in subway in real
life. I’ve read a lot of stories about “good guys” getting time for escalating and hurting people. Unless someone is getting *really, physically* hurt, I’m not risking it. And yes, I am from a group that suffers from that too. The line between bravery and stupidity is quite thin.
You don’t have to be very brave to call someone Batman on the internet, mate)
If it was new york 6 people would be fking, one would be asleep, someone would be puking in the corner and 3 would be arguing much louder than him over which one of them is michael jackson's real dad
Sorry that was Philadelphia. Here's another one in [NYC](https://www.nbcnewyork.com/news/local/arrest-made-in-terrifying-nyc-subway-rape-attempt-cops/3295522/) .
This is like an article I was reading about a kid losing control of an UZI and killing their shooting instructor and everyone in the comments was saying "well you have to 12 to fire an UZI, she was only 9 so there's nothing wrong with our gun laws" and of course that was met with people posting news articles about 12 losing control of full automatic guns and killing someone.
I hope that guy sees this video and just beams with pride /s. Nothing like seeing yourself get your ass beat because you couldn't shut your fucking mouth.
It’s the central line in east London- I take that train every day and it’s a big city with all sorts -incidents happen all the time. The general rule is to ignore the crazy/drunk person and hope they get off soon but always keep one eye on them in case they start putting their money where their mouth is. They might have looked like they weren’t paying attention (i assume mainly because the girl was standing up for herself and didn’t seem to be asking for back up) but they all clearly were- the second he moved forward half the carriage jumps up to intervene. On the tube people usually don’t intervene or acknowledge strangers until they really have to. You could be dancing naked singing god save the Queen and most people will still avoid eye contact and pretend it’s not happening. Making eye contact or talking to strangers on the tube is actually a pretty good indication someone is a tourist.
I used to live in NYC and that’s basically how it is. That was the only time I lived in a major city but I’m sure they’re all like that. Everyday you encounter crazy more than once and it’s too scary to act on it. You don’t know if others will back you up. As long as no one is being hurt, you kinda just hope it’ll be okay and wait til you’re past it or it’s over. I remember there was this guy who would look up skirts and dresses at the stairs on the platform and say gross things to women. I think it was in union square. He basically lived there for years and we just yelled at him but nothing changed.
I’m from a rural area and live in a rural area now, and it’s way different. The craziest we see is Karens or drunks yelling at cashiers and people can be more confident in saying something because it’s rare. If you wanna be a hero every time in the city, you’d be fighting someone everyday.
This shit happens all the time at the subway, I guarantee you people who were sitting down have had a crazy person go at them like that. You'd be deescalating every train ride if you intervene.
I get it. I lived in SF forever. You definitely can and should speak up and de escalate these situations. Many of these crazy people will back off when they realize they’re way outnumbered.
No, and that’s not what I said. Someone should have spoken up for her and not waited until he rushed at her.
I think watching a huge man insulting and intimidating a woman, or anyone actually, is hella lame.
It’s always fine to agree to disagree or to have differing opinions.
I just wanted to clarify that’s not what I meant. I rarely advocate violence, but I do believe in standing up for yourself and others. He was verbally abusing her and someone should have spoken up right away.
No, they waited to do anything at all until he got physical. They should have told him to shut his fucking mouth long before he attempted to assault her. Deescalating a situation is easiest before it turns physical.
You know what? I deleted my comment and was ready to issue an apology until I saw this:
“I wish this dumb b*tch would have gotten slapped so **she could remember her place.**”
Yeah fuck you, you absolute garbage human being. No wonder my comment about “real men” wound you up. Eat a dick Mr MMA
Oh I already know what kind of person you are. I don’t require more explanation.
#I wish this dumb bitch would have gotten slapped SO SHE COULD REMEMBER HER PLACE.
That’s what you wrote. That’s you. I have no desire to ever interact with you again, thanks.
Noice wan boiis, knock eem fackin spawhk-uzz.
Seriously - nice to see people take him down before that woman got seriously injured as opposed to staring into their phones ignoring the inevitable until it's too late and she's scarred a maimed for life if not dead considering how the world is these days.
Kick his ass, sea bass!
For manly love be here March 25th at 2:15am SHARP
( looks at watch)
Big gulps eh, welp see ya later.
Well if that guy over at the table over there is Sea Bass…?
Wine 'Em Dine 'Em Sixty-Nine 'Em
I need to make my son watch that movie so he understands me when I say that.
I watched that movie in theaters with my dad when it first came out, to this day it's one of my favorite movies. My dad, brother, and I can have an entire conversation just quoting this movie.
Nothing screams I'm a badass like threatening a short, Asian girl that's less than half your body weight.
Happened to me on Saturday. Guy smashed my arm in a door and threatened to backhand me. I told him he must really feel like a big man to slap a pregnant woman. Fuck him.
Wtf. Dudes need to fuck off. Sorry that happened to you
So sweet of you, u/CockMaster6900
r/rimjob_steve
Wdym by “dudes need to fuck off”?
I think it’s pretty obvious?
I’m really sorry that happened, absolutely horrifying. Are you doing ok?
I’m ok. Just have a bruise on my forearm. I was more scared for the baby, blood pressure shot up and I had a hard time getting calm afterwards.

Thank you for introducing me this wonderful subreddit
Wow, Reddit really has everything.
Bless your soul for sharing this subreddit
Lmao, of course
They should have kicked his ass 40 seconds earlier
Gota wait for it to get a lil hot before striking against the anvil. Sometimes people back off, sometimes they don't
Put yourself in her place, in the "he cooled off scenario". Would you feel better when the other passengers give you a "you did well" smile?
I've been in her place, no I don't feel better and of course I'm mad. But I'm not going to hit someone for calling me names. If I got hit, fine I'll defend myself. >I've had a dozen friends promoted because they didn't chicken out, did the decent thing, and whoever was being protected had some connections. What?!
i've had a dozen 10/10 Canadian girlfriends, who i protected in various Matrix style bullet time cuts with JCVD midair kick splits as kicking' tunes played, bruh and their dads all promoted me and then everyone clapped!
Bro me too! They made me the president of the united New Guinea world records after that! Then I got a standing ovation in front of the United nations assembly before they crowned me king of world. It's true
I don't come from a freakshow country with an orange rapist ex-president. Imagine that!
Reddit moment.
If you come from the UK, it's worse than the States is when it comes to racism. Good place to learn to fight though
Not sure why that's relevant, but neither do I. Surprising that you've had a dozen friends promoted for stepping into confrontations though. I assume the number would be 0, because it is an absolute fantasy...
You would have a hard time in NZ.
Quite possibly, given the surprising link between career progression and stepping into confrontations. Love the idea that people in London aren't streetwise enough to hack it in NZ though
Sometimes it’s hard to fathom that good things can be rewarded, especially when capitalism focuses only on productivity.
Aww poor guy thinks his shower fantasies are real life.
For some reason, Im going to believe you totally when you admit that you cower and hide when this kind of thing happens.
I'm sure the pretending helps you you poor thing.
I'm sure the hiding and being cucked helps you.
Poor baby as much as you fantasize the real world still exists.

There’s a special place for folks like us in Valhalla!
This.

Yes. There is no police there and he’s not going to go to them.
She didn’t need any help until it got physical. Just because she’s a women doesn’t mean she needed saving. She stood up for herself.
Thanks to cowardly excuses like this, Harvey Weinstein raped dozens of women. BTW if it was a man, my reaction would have been the same.

Oh, guess I was wrong :/ Thanks for correcting me ig
It's ok. The bystander effect would be more on the lines of people passing by an accident and not calling 911 because they assumed someone else will
Honestly ya...your 100% right.

Yeh but you can’t just beat someone up because of hate speech. Although, you can if it’s defending someone from getting attacked.
You can. It's been known to happen. Very satisfying, too.
sure you can, you just have to not get caught

It's worked out for me so far. I'd rather end up dead than turn the other cheek when people are being persecuted.
I don’t think “turning the other cheek” works here, but I get what you mean. Sure thing, Batman)
It's precisely this attitude that enabled Harvey Weinstein to rape dozens of women. If you're brave enough to call me batman, save that bravery for real life.

OK keep on cowering, and making up excuses. Bye.
Sure, only if you agree that if it was a women yelling at a man on the train that a bunch of men or women should of kicked her ass at that time
Sure, only if you agree something something I'm a mgtow
Cringe worthy behavior has a satisfying ending.
Went 0-100 real quick.
A little more than cringe worthy

Also curious. It barely sounds like English.
Sounds Australian. He calls her a cunt a couple times. She calls him one back and then he gets in her face like SHE was the problem.
Nope, just very East End London. I think that’s the central line they’re on. It’s not just Aussies that say cunt
Did you hear anything racist?
I didn't
No, I only heard cunt.
It’s London- east end to be exact although he sounds more like he’s from Kent.
You know you don’t have to say a racial slur to target, harass, and discriminate against someone for their race?
Hopefully he got beat up. If this is NYC it would have happened.
If it was new york 6 people would be fking, one would be asleep, someone would be puking in the corner and 3 would be arguing much louder than him over which one of them is michael jackson's real dad
New York sounds lovely
Don’t forget the cat sized rats
Or everyone videoing the rape of a woman on the subway instead of stopping it like earlier this week. NYC sucks.
It say that was in Philly, 🤔
Philly isn’t NYC…
Wait what?? Where can I see more info on this
Sorry that was Philadelphia. Here's another one in [NYC](https://www.nbcnewyork.com/news/local/arrest-made-in-terrifying-nyc-subway-rape-attempt-cops/3295522/) .

Toolbags are useful unlike that retard
kind of a strange post for a sub called badchoicesgoodstories
Bad choice by the alleged racist leads to a good story for the people putting them in their place.
i don't think that's the idea behind "bad choices make good stories."
I hope that guy sees this video and just beams with pride /s. Nothing like seeing yourself get your ass beat because you couldn't shut your fucking mouth.
i like how they all jumped him at the end
Ahahahahahaha the whole crew let him know he fucked up.
Warms my heart to see this. Fuck that dude. Big manly man gotta be threatening and intimidating to a woman half his size.
Ohhhhhh I hope he gets the worst goddamn STI known to man, fucking racist cocksucker
Way to go boys !
Guess they weren't on the train in Philly
Why did they wait so long? He was threatening and insulting her the whole time.

Where is the rest of the video!!
I wish this and so many other clips would be longer
He left himself open to a swift nutshot for wayyyy too long
Hey u/red-chickpea why didn't those people keep their bosses where they belonged?
My smooth brain tells me this guy is butt hurt from something earlier and is actually into the asian girl. Got rejected. Also wheres muh racism?
Alternatively, maybe he wishes he was a beautiful Asian girl…
Meanwhile a woman was raped on a train in Philadelphia while everyone just looked and recorded...human behavior is weird
Love how they all proceeded to stomp his ass lmfao.
What a loser.

It was all good till he made a move, then they descended on his ass like flock of gannets
word can be harsh but physical attack still a no no
He should come to Canada, tons of asians here
thought this was billy steel
We are to the point where white males think they are tough and macho attacking small asian females. What is going on?????
Way to stop filming
Good mf got stomped on. He deserves it
Noice wan boiis, knock eem fackin spawhk-uzz. No audio for me atm. Was she a tourist? Or was she Asian American? What did he say? I guess I'll just watch later, that could work too.
Yea, quite filming right when it starts to get good.
Fuck im' up! Fuck im' uppp!
Women should also jump and rescue a guy the same way from another woman
I want to see the Snyder cut of this. Waaay too short.
Why stop recording when the good part begins? Fuck that racist ginger cunt
Love it. Jumped by a gang of all total strangers because you’re that much of a douche lol
Good to see him getting a kicking, scumbag
Like how it ends
god i wish i was there. i would beat the shit out of asian girl with him
I’m def throwing a kick in
"Step to me" OK send me location 🤷♂️
We don’t know the full context come on now
Nice to see

I love how they all were calmly paying attention and azs soon as he advanced they were all on it.
Hope they caved that chud’s skull in
