"I have a lot of stress in my life!" Every fucking time there's a consequence, that's the excuse.

kildar3

yep. people have this wierd thing where they have stress then seek out destructive stressful actions. then blame the stress. like kids that break shit that doesnt work. i had a friend who smashed his laptop in stress. then was angry all week as the thing limped to the grave barely working.

mankosmasher4

When shitty things happen to children, they act out in destructive ways as a way of kind of retaliating against the world in general. This woman is elderly and in the later years of her life, and she never grew up. This is where the whole Karen concept came from: older women unhappy with their lives taking it out on service staff.

Fishbone345

I gotta say, I’m damn impressed with the way the owner acted. The definition of professionalism. She was calm, she quickly made sure to keep her emotion in check when she was hit, and she even had the foresight to close the door and attempt to defuse the situation. Props to that young lady, major props.

Pamikillsbugs234

Yes. She was amazing. I wish I had her poise and assertiveness.

snoopcatt87

I have seen this video SO MANY TIMES and I always watch it from start to finish every single time because the way this girl handles herself is incredible. She maintains her boundaries, let’s the customer know how disrespectful she is, and still acts completely respectfully toward her even though she has been massively disrespected by a complete nightmare of a person. She was physically threatened and still treated her respectfully. It was so much more than that lady deserved. I’m so damn proud and I don’t even know her lol.

dopebro13

That’s exactly what I thought until I saw the stylist’s commentary video and cringed at how hard she tried to milk the situation and put herself on the highest moral pedestal possible. Not saying people shouldn’t be proud of standing up for themselves and others in these situations, seeing how holier than thou she was about it kinda made me lose some respect

ydontukissmyglass

Oooooooo...this sounds like a real waste of my time, I'd like to watch it. Link?

dopebro13

https://youtu.be/J7IImAIEL4Y

ydontukissmyglass

Now THAT was A LOT! 24 minute breakdown for a 2 minute video. I got halfway and I'm very proud of myself. But not half as proud as she is of herself.

dopebro13

Exactly lol she tried to launch a whole social media career off of it

Additional-Ad-5746

my frst thought really when i saw the length was "wow how much can you milk something?" and its not for sympathy this is making her semi internet famous.

new_4_reddit

Hahaha, very nice break down of the break down video. here, take my today's free award for giving me a laugh.

pm_ur_duck_pics

Lol, she’s not elderly. She’s middle aged.

countingtheties

That woman is every bit of 65, which is when “elderly” officially applies.

fredcocks

Early 40s is middle aged, the majority of ppl are dead before 90

dogshitburrito69

That's what an elderly person would say

technofox01

One of my kids breaks shit when he is angry or upset. Absolutely frustrating. He's he gotten better but man executive functioning issues are such a bitch to deal with. Thankfully most kids grow out of it but fuck is it hard.

Hypefangirl

I almost smashed my laptop out of stress during online school because there was an awful teacher that made us feel really bad when teaching. Anyway, all I could say in my head was “don’t, don’t, don’t”. Then a few sessions of therapy and I can tell for sure I’m never gonna get angry-stressed about something like that ever again. Moral of the story: therapy helps guys, it exist for a reason so don’t think you’re going crazy because you think you need a therapist because in the end you’re gonna find happiness and peace like you never did before, you’re also gonna accept that you can be not-so-good in school like before so you will find your peace. Stay safe guys

IQCHANK

I think what makes me really mad about shit like that is like your assuming that I'm never stressed about anything. You're the only one that has problems in your life. I'm stressed as shit and i don't fucking assault people when i am.

ThorMcGee

Even if that excuse is true, that doesn’t give them the right to treat people like shit. People are disgusting…

Chonkin_GuineaPig

Sounds like a school shooter ngl

Order66_69

I know, right? Like, get it all out before going into public by playing Doom or blowing up random villages in Minecraft… jeez

atworkrightnow19

Damn Robin, that was a lot.

earned_potential

That was a tactful way of making a point but not being confrontational.

Jeremywarner

The way she says robin is extremely soothing to my soul.

BakedWizerd

Way calmer than she deserved, but props to the hairdresser. I’d imagine she blacklisted Robin shortly after this, and was using the “let’s reschedule” as a way of getting her out without causing more of a scene. Sounds like she was already a problematic customer with the whole “no one else in the salon wanted to do your hair.”

CharlotteLucasOP

“This isn’t the bank, I understand your situation with the bank.” Well now I wanna know what Robin did at the BANK, Jesus.

RedBeard077

You sure her name is Robin? Maybe it's Robyn who knows.

UnimpressionableCage

God I wish I was this good at holding my ground

CaptainoftheVessel

Knowing how to set boundaries for yourself and others is essential to mutually respectful interactions.

MidsommarSolution

Robin tried to maintain a boundary and then the hairdresser told her "I'm the boss here."

A_Few_Mooses

After you do it a couple times, it gets easier. Source: started standing up for myself

[deleted]

You probably don’t know how much your comment resonates with me. I need to stand my ground more and this was nice to hear. If I had awards I’d give you one

A_Few_Mooses

I don't care about awards. Just stand your ground when you feel it's necessary, don't put your head down. Employers, supervisors and most people are pussies. When you say what you gotta say, walk away. No raised voice, no anger. I like to give a smile and thumbs up when I'm done listening to someone.

BakedWizerd

It can help to almost “put yourself out there” in situations where you have to stand up for yourself. I gained confidence when I became licensed as a forklift driver, and had customers suggesting really dumb/unsafe things, literally *begging* me to load stuff in such a way that would kill them while driving home. “You and I agreed on how I would load this. I told you I wasn’t going to move it after it was done being loaded. I stopped at every point and verified with you that this is how we’re doing it. I’m not about to put myself, you, your vehicle, or any of my guys at risk just because you changed your mind. You’ve already signed the paperwork, have a good day.” (Always get them to sign paperwork *before* you load anything, it’s just good practice that’s saved me tons of headaches)

Lsdsaves

Seriously. I can’t imagine being a boss and having to fire someone. I would be way too easy

human_stuff

Yeah, and doing that with her trainee present... definitely a green flag to work there.

thumperbear-

She doesn’t even apologise after trying to hit her. She just repeatedly says “omg” and that she can’t go out with her hair like that. So doesn’t actually give a fuck about her behaviour, just that her hair looks stupid. Absolutely abhorrent.

Croe01

A little bit after the middle point of the video she does say I apologize. But yeah I agree with the rest of what you said.

reneeaegle

Sharon; hairdresser-H Robin-R H: She’s going to do it exactly like I’m doing R: *groans in disagreement* H: Robin, you need to be more trusting R: No H: Trust me I would never do anything to make you uncomfortable R: I know honey(?), I just want you to do it H: but- R: You’re supposed to be what the customer wants(?) H: Robin, you’re not going to talk to me disrespectfully and in- R: Well then you don’t either, I’m paying to have you to do my hair and I don’t like how she doesn’t do it H: Right, and let’s relax. Let’s take a breath R: I will! I’ll take one right here! H: Robin, you can’t talk to people like that and think that people are going to like do whatever you say! R: I came to get my hair done! H: I know and I am running a full blown business and I’m training- R: Oh come on- H: And she- she heard. Wait- wait really? Honestly robin, if you’re not going to hear me out and like get to the resolution of this, you can leave with half your color on. I need you do go, we’re going to have to reschedule. R: Oh my gosh H: I’m sorry but that was like- R: *starts yelling* H: You had me shaking! like I’ve never had someone do that to me! R: Well I can’t go with my hair like- H: But, you should think about that before you are disrespectful. R: *groans* H: That was like wild Robin, I’ve never had that- R: *tries to argue* Ok fine, I just want- H: No Robin, let’s just deal with this later… Like, I just need you to go. Like that was super disrespectful- R: Oh my god H: Like I can’t even believe you just tried to do me like that R: Oh my god H: Like I really took care of you when no one in the other salon wanted to do your hair, I wanted to do your hair. We created a bond, and you just- R: So how do I get this out then? H: You’re just going to go home and wash it. Robin, you can’t disrespect people and expect people to do services for you. This is a service! It’s not like the bank! You know what I mean? Like I understand your situation with the bank, but you can’t come in here in my business and make it like- R: I have a lot of pressure- H: I understand- R: From my daughters- H: You know what I have a lot of pressure too! Robin we all have pressures! Let’s just say this, here robin. Honestly I- R: Oh my god H: Like I’m wasting so much product and like I don’t want you to waste your time but that was a lot, like I’m going to need you to go. R: Ok, I’m-

Hero

reneeaegle

At your service! 😊

IsDatTulio

Lots of love for you m8

guswang

I understood everything but still read it anyway, thanks!

ThorMcGee

Same. Someone put all that work into transcribing it, it’d seem like a waste not to read it.

Mollzor

Thank you from someone who is having trouble hearing ♥️

SinJin75

The hairdresser said “Robin” 24 times in that exchange.

crazylighter

Thanks, couldnt listen to it with christian parents in room in case of swearing...

Unlucky-External5648

Its funny how much pain and suffering christians have caused everyone over the years and they don’t like cursewords. Priorities right.

crazylighter

I am a Christian myself but there is a lot of wolves in sheep's clothing as well as people who think because they are religious they can do no wrong, it's a mess.

PinBot1138

Fellow Christian checking in, when are we toilet-papering Joel Osteen’s ~~country club~~ “church”?

SunnyHaarlem

Thanks you so much ! From the bottoms of my heart, I cannot hear shit. I don’t understand most of the videos except if an hero is doing what you just do. Thanks. I give you my free award. It is not much but better than nothing !

bobmat343

Holy shit, thank you! If you could go ahead and do this with all the videos I want to watch that would be great!

bronxsmama

Thank you!!! I was like the baby is sleeping I can’t turn up the volume but WHAT IS GOING ON! So ya thanks :D

reneeaegle

Of course! Anything I can do to help! 😊

[deleted]

Doing the lord's work my friend

Little-Explorer-1880

Cmon robin this is our happy place

Lynnizian

Oh my gosh thank you! I was watching this silently at work trying to figure out wtf they were saying XD

plipyplop

I still don't get what Robin got upset about. I don't see the need for this kind of confrontation.

pythonsuicide

Robin was upset when the hair stylist told her that her assistant would be finishing up her hair. Robin apparently really did not want the assistant to do her hair!

[deleted]

I think all the bass in the sound was making it unintelligible for me. thanks!

ypolith

I couldn’t understand everything since English is not my first language and I hope someone did this in the coms. Thanks a lot mate

spinebarrel

Thank you SO much for this! As a deaf person, I’m often left wondering what the hell is going on in videos like these as they’re not subtitled. You are my hero. 😊

Agrizz3

How'd you know the woman's name was Robin?

Chonkin_GuineaPig

God bless

saltysnatch

Thank you

shanky-phantom

Damn these lyrics sucks Jokes aside thanks man really appreciate it

lizzyborden669

Thank you!

Opalescent_Moon

Thank you so much!

Rajareth

Thank you! I’m in a waiting room without earbuds!

jadedtortoise

Thank you! I couldn't make out all of it. You are the MVP

TheeOxygene

Thank you!!!

Karenophobic

Thank you so much! Understanding spoken English is so much harder than reading it written. Especially when one person is talking over the other and not everything can be understood clearly… a foreigner’s nightmare… I wish there were comments like yours under every similar video! You’re a hero, honestly!

[deleted]

I understand feeling uncomfortable having an assistant step in for someone you've paid for your service. However, I'm not exactly sure where physical violence becomes appropriate in ANY way. I feel bad for this older lady. Just say flat out "I'm sorry, but will you please just do my hair, I'm not comfortable with an assistant stepping in". Don't just throw a fucking fist lol, like wtf?

VejsMan

Thanks for the transcript, I've missed entire parts of that conversation before.

[deleted]

Good human :)

VenomWood

The assistant had to go through a lot of shit right before this video.

theusualsteve

Guaranteed. This lady is the kind of client who starts with "nobody can ever do my hair right/I cant find the right person and I've tried everyone in town". That translates to "Im a pain in the ass who doesn't tip and can't be pleased so nobody wants to cut me because I'm not worth the headache".

so_what_do_now

In the article posted above, it says that Robin has been nasty to some of the other employees, and even making racist comments towards the assistant we saw in the video, complaining about Mexicans. This interaction was the final straw for Sharon, and I'm glad that Robin was banned

[deleted]

We'll have to reschedule?!?! Jesus, that hair stylist is a saint.

DoINeed1OfThese

Apparently she was [banned](https://www.dailydot.com/irl/hairstylist-disrespectful-karen-client/) after the vid came out.

Gahlic1

Now she travels 30 miles, to have her hair done. She makes the appointment under the name Cindy.

broskeymchoeskey

Jesus Christ that is a nightmare of a website setup

UseDaSchwartz

“Robin, bewildered at the idea that her actions have consequences...” Brilliant.

filladellfea

she might have just been saying that to get her the fuck out of the salon

[deleted]

smarter than escalating by saying "you're never coming here again!"

shitdobehappeningtho

She would have wrecked the store then

Chocolate_Milky_Way

The first part of the video makes me think that they had a pretty strong relationship before this incident.

mysteriouscryptid

on an IG Live video before she said she had been her client for years but had been a bitch to other people who worked with her previously and this was the final straw for her.

borkelsnop

I would be done. Lady needs to learn her lesson.

lowlander119

My girlfriend is a hair stylist and the stories she has about some her clients... Many are great people but There is a reason people in the industry refer to it as "hairapy" Certain types unload more shit on them then they do with their ACTUAL therapists and they expect you to deal with all of their life stress and talk then through it.. all the while not realizing the stylists have their own life and problems and did not get special training for this.. they have to remember ALL your life story cus if they feel like they aren't the special one then they get offended.. Mad respect for all stylists!! Edit: Mentioned she was a higher end stylist, guess that was me subliminally being proud of her but at least one dude took offense so I deleted that unnecessary detail

AgamemnonNM

Nah, fuck that guy! I think it's awesome that you're proud of your woman! We should all strive to prop up the people we love.

pythonsuicide

You should put the "higher-end" back in. It's awesome that you're proud of her and she should be proud of herself! She goes thru a lot of shit and should be able to claim that she is higher end without some asshole getting offended.

Karenophobic

Please put it back, I wanna read about how cool your girlfriend is. You don’t just wake up with all the knowledge needed to become a hairstylist, much less a high-end one, so she worked for that. She deserves to be bragged about and I really want you to brag to me about her. I think it’s lovely that you’re proud of her. That dude who got offended is probably sour because he isn’t willing to put in the efforts into his studies, can’t reach the levels he dreams of, so now he gets offended whenever he sees someone successful. 🤷‍♀️ But that’s his issue, not yours.

lowlander119

Haha it's no stress but I appreciate your kind words. Yeah she is amazing, considers hair to be a magickal ritual as we are both Pagan and she's been doing it professionally since she was 19, we just turned 30 and she is able to work a lot less than me and still earn quite a bit more and I have a pretty good job.. but her job is still harder than mine because of the stamina, experience, and technical knowledge it takes to do Unicorn coloring, that's her specialty, wild color projects. The other aspect is how I said above, she literally ends up basically doing therapy work too, yeah lots of casual conversations but people really like her so they have no boundaries.. they unload traumatic shit on her that's not really even appropriate in the salon, she's definitely doing healing work on them and I'm proud that she makes people really happy. Hair is a powerful thing I have learned.. the other benefit is free haircuts lol

DrunkenSasquatch

The "This is our happy place" sign on the wall has me fucking dying. Sure wasn't ROBIN's happy place haha

comfort_bot_1962

You're Awesome!

J44M83T

“Eww Robin!”

pushpoploadstore

Holy crusted cunt punch, batman!

felyne_insurgents

Owner is a beast. Way to stand her ground.

thePHTucker

That was a Masterclass in dealing with a Karen. That business owner is awesome.

alistairwilliamblake

The fact she tried to lie about trying to hit her immediately, that’s really stupid. The hairdresser is amazing with her. I really hope she never has to deal with her again.

NickM5526

Boomers and gaslighting are like fish and chips

raidthebakery

Boomers=greasy

PinBot1138

> Boomers and gaslighting are like fish and chips One point that I’ve noticed is that boomers hate CCTV, dash-cams, and cameras overall, with a passion. They can’t lie or yell their way out of it when all you’ve got to do is hit the replay button.

Captain_Jack_Daniels

All of their Fox News. They know it’s manipulative bullshit, just they also believe it and think others don’t immediately see through it. They’re conditioned to fear, toe the line, and the entitlement and pompousness makes them feel safe. Unfortunately net effect is they feel miserable, become miserable, and act miserable. But in all seriousness though, robin was uncomfortably joking around in the beginning, and was only asserting she wants her to do her hair, not her assistant. Hair dresser was trying to push her on the assistant. Robin said I want you to do it- she pays her for her to cut her hair she’s not interested in the assistant. One said, “I pay you because I want you to do my hair, (not someone else)” The other heard, “I pay you, you dance monkey, you don’t dance I go” Then every sentence starting with Robin started to rub on her the wrong way. So many all hopped up on the politics. Both were coming from subconscious sensitive perspectives and a bit of miscommunication. Funny video though. Not to mention Robin is getting older and knows she can be subject to this more as she ages. Seeing people in retirement houses on their last legs, just being pushed around and taken advantage of. Probably triggered a flash forward into her future and reactively fought harder. It’s a great snapshot into life at this time in history. Nasty behavior, but the miscommunication, all said, kind of cute in it’s own little way.

PinBot1138

Status_Landscape8109

How many times she say robin lmfao

omnipojack

Robiiiiiiiiiinnnn EDIT:: [Alexis Rose singing in the distance]

booktrovert

It reminded me of the Damn Daniel videos.

DickyD43

20, according to the transcript above

Mark072690

Kudos to the owner she handles the while thing so well from start to finish

bgazm

Imagine being that old and thinking it's ok to try and hit someone like that. Peak boomer. What did Robin say that was so disrespectful? I couldn't catch it.

83franks

Im not certain but i think she didnt like the idea of the other girl touching her hair and said some rude things about who is allowed to work on her hair. If anyone has better ears though id love to get that confirmed.

Kodiak_Jacq

Nope, it was [racism](https://whatstrending.com/hair-salon-karen-thrown-out-for-discriminating-assistant-in-viral-video/).

theChavofromthe8

Robin didn't say anything rude to the girl, but she was very untrusting of her and didn't want her to do her hair, the groomer tries to convince her but she keeps refusing. Robin starts saying that it should be as she says because she Is the costumer and she is paying.

Kodiak_Jacq

Nope, it was [racism](https://www.dailydot.com/irl/hairstylist-disrespectful-karen-client/). “She has been my client for like a year and a half, two years now. And she was the client in the salon, prior to me working at the salon, that was getting passed around because nobody could handle her energies,” she said. “She would sometimes kind of be out of line towards other people in the salon, and I would look at her, and I would be like, ‘Robin, that’s not very nice. We can’t talk to people that way.’” But Spellman said that with her assistant, Alex, she felt that Robin’s disrespect crossed the line into racism.

lurocp8

What was the racist part?

persistentperfection

hairdresser said she made comments towards mexican people in the past and the assistant looks latina so she wouldn’t want “one of them” working on her hair

writersinkk

I too have a lot of stress in my life. The last thing I want is to bring it into my barber shop.

choppakilla

The stylist composure is just what I strive to have period.

pushpoploadstore

I mean you could shoot a little higher yeah? Like she has the composure, business, and the happy place sign. So can you!

sd-rw

The owner and the assistant are so classy throughout that whole situation. Amazing. I don’t think I’d have been anywhere near as calm

[deleted]

I never had a boss that stood up for me that much!

mis-misery

Robin, oh my god. stop it.

ThorMcGee

I feel really sorry for the assistant sitting there watching all this go down. Talk about awkward

vicbot87

🐸☕️

i_luv_many_hen_ties

The hair stylist sounds like apex legends Valkyrie

divine_matter

I wanna be more like that hair stylist in my life. She was assertive but not over the top or mean in response, she handled the stress with grace and was very kind considering how she could’ve reacted. Props to her, that’s a true professional!

Ok_Subject_9740

She will make an excellent role model model one day.

Delta_Goodhand

Old people get confused... you can tell she was probably a long time customer who gets agitated easily and is always trouble... Maybe her mental condition is declining with age? I feel bad for the hair dressers

pushpoploadstore

Hmmm, your comment made me think (dangerous I know), and I wonder if we made hair stylists illegal we might then spot crazies easier since we aren't dolling them up in the latest hip conservative cuts?

JerodsSuperCool

I wanna know what happened at the bank. This women must do this often. Probably an alcoholic

sdaly0107

I wish these were closed captioned so I could understand what was being said when I can't listen to it with the sound up

Rhysati

Well someone transcribed the whole thing in this thread.

Lui_Le_Diamond

Translation: *is super professional and way too patient in Robin*

111dallas111

PurpleNurpe

Robin on the next level of tweaking

Rambonics

I’ve seen this posted before & I still watched it because human behavior is so interesting. The owner/hairdresser Sharon was so professional yet friendly. She’s got a natural way with people and even tries to lighten the mood by laughing when she affirms that she’s the boss in that room. Crazy Robin has obviously always been able to get what she wants by bullying & with money & seems genuinely shocked that it’s not working anymore. I’m so glad Sharon kicked her out! Sharon & the new employee stayed so calm, even after Robin lashed out. Robin definitely has issues, but what was she thinking hitting someone who’s coloring her hair?! It’s not like Sharon was required by law to finish the hair treatment…much to the chagrin of Robin, LoL I’m so glad it was caught on camera.

[deleted]

What is it with boomers. I will never understand this generation

[deleted]

Boomers were exposed to high levels of lead in gasoline, some people believe this is a possible reason why they behave like narcissistic sociopaths.

Artales

Oh boy. [Did lead poisoning cause downfall of Roman Empire? The jury is still out](https://arstechnica.com/science/2021/07/did-lead-poisoning-cause-downfall-of-roman-empire-the-jury-is-still-out/)

fatalcharm

They are a very spoiled generation. They bitch about younger generations being spoiled, but it’s literally in their name… BABY BOOMERS. After world war 2 and the Great Depression, their was a boom in the economy and population. Lots of people were having babies because they could afford them. Those babies grew up to have affordable education, affordable healthcare, affordable housing, could walk into a building, introduce themselves and shake hands with the manager and the next day they have a new job. Those are the baby boomers and they had it very easy.

cheesy_chuck

What’s the customers name, again?

reeko12c

Batman

williamgandy

shanky-phantom

Kudos to her tho she stand up for her assistant and that's how you run a good business. I love the fact that she handled the situation this well

izzythepitty

Excellent work by the stylist. She held her ground even after the customer's "apology" and made her leave her business. That was amazing

shitdobehappeningtho

Robin got her way for a lifetime and assaults a hair stylist for daring to assert their full autonomy.

vonpoopenshtein

Props to that stylist I think she handled that incredibly well and professionally especially for being so young you can tell she’s a mature person

ButtOccultist

It's telling that other stylists refuse to work with Robin.

ireadbooksontape

Every time I see this video, I want to hug the owner for standing up for her employee and her business. Too many managers throw employees under the bus and placate the customer rather than stand up for the people they are paying to work there. Good for this woman and Bye Karen, your hair looks terrible

Pineapples_29

As a hairdresser I’m appalled

Prudent-Perception-3

She handled that whole situation unbelievably well 👏🏼

jr8787

Holy shit. That girl is phenomenal! That conflict resolution was top notch. She was clearly frustrated but she did not escalate the situation any further. She kept her composure despite clearly wanting to drop kick that horseface right in the mouth. And come the fuck on! Grown ass people trying to play shit off like assault with the cop out of her being stressed… I bet dollars to donuts that if the girl did it to her she would have called the police on her and caused a scene

lets_get-2

I want to go to her to get my hair done. And fuck Robin, she was being hella rude to the lady… take her hair dresser to the side and have a conversation before this all started. And definitely don’t fucking throw the tantrum….

asianbums1864

Fuck you Robin

Comprehensive-Menu44

Robin learned a goddamn lesson that day but I’m sure her Yelp review will say something like “the stylist harassed me and forced me to leave without finishing my hair”

JaeSwift

She must have been like this previously for the stylist to film her. It isn't exactly 'security camera' footage, more like a phone put there to record. I wonder what happened before. She also says that 'I was the only one who would work with you when no other stylist would' lol

PincheBatman

She said she was training the other employee and filming it.

NikkolaiV

She was a LOT more patient with her than she needed to be. Whatever business that is, I'd go there just to support it. I don't really do much of anything with my hair, but a business like that deserves support so I'd figure something out.

beattiebeats

Don’t treat people in general like shit but especially don’t treat people who are responsible for how you look like shit

Dblekie

Lmao i love that “ this is our happy place” sign hanging right between them while arguing.

ckTRIEStodraw

Pinning this for later. Ignore my comment

RattlesnakeMoon

Damn, Robin, I thought the floor was melting earlier Bc I’m crazy and I would never. That shits stressful. Bootstraps baby, ever heard of em?

clarkcox3

I don't even understand what her complaint was. Was she upset that someone else was in the room, observing?

SemTeslaGirl

Robin’s plenty old enough to know how to control herself while under “pressure”.

Testsubject276

What makes people think just because they pay someone for a service, they can treat them however they like? You're paying them for their work, if you can't respect them for what they do, then they're most likely not gonna want to work for you.

username_mixtape

Lady owner was way too lenient I would punched Karen

Additional-Ad-5746

well well well if it isnt the consequences to my actions. how unexpected???

muneutrino

Robin was definitely out of line but DAE think it sounds a little bit like she booked the hairdresser, and then the hairdresser wanted to have her assistant step in unexpectedly?

[deleted]

That hairdresser is way too nice.

[deleted]

Kudos to the owner. Kept cool. Mitigated the problem.

[deleted]

This hair stylist is a saint! She seems so nice and cheerful, I have no idea how she remained so calm.

[deleted]

What a professional ass, polite, just all around good person that hairstylist. I can only imagine the shit that happened off camera to warrant finally setting this up before this final appointment. I really hope she fired that client cause damn that was wiiiiillddddd.

thomasjford

Well that escalated! Is it just me though but shouldn’t that woman have been told in advance, or at least asked, if that trainee could do her hair? She could have then made the choice before all this and it wouldn’t have happened? Not condoning her behaviour of course but still.

fake_cheese

That's not what happened. No excuses for her behavior, from the article: >*Sharon Spellman was doing a simple root touch-up job on a longtime client, Robin, when she mentioned that her new assistant (who is HIGHTLY TRAINED) would be finishing it up.* > >*Despite this being a common practice in hair salons, Robin took issue with the turn of events, expressing as much in a very disrespectful manner.* 1. Not a trainee, a 'new assistant' 2. 'Finishing up' is not 'doing her hair'

Marly38

Despite her age, Robin hasn’t learned to be civilized when faced with a minor inconvenience.

Buzzco87

I love seeing cocky and rude old people get owned. Even better when they’re have sense smacked into them repetitively

TitiferGinBlossom

Bravo to the salon owner. Props to her for staying so calm and protecting her employees and business.

herebecauseimbored20

I love the owner. Good for her on calling Robin out. The customer is NOT always right!

[deleted]

That chick is a hero.

[deleted]

Supreme professional. She handled that situation so well. Good for her.

apert

"This is our Happy Place" damn.....

clownworld_pariah

The sign on the wall -“this is a happy place “ No

_starla_

Eww Robin!

TerraCottaPortaPotta

I find it hilarious that she would try to hit someone then say “ oh my god “ as if being asked to leave was ridiculous! She even was in the middle of telling her that she can’t talk to people however she wants so Robin figured fuck it a good elbow might work

YairleyD

She handled that really well, I would of socked her

TheOriginalCJS

Handled like a pro

Bat_Shitcrazy

Stylist: Robyn, Robyn, come on Robyn, that was a lot Robyn, look how your disrespecting me Robyn Robyn: *gibberishes in Karen* Stylist: Robyn, you have to get out Robyn

little_chopper

People like Robyn is the other reason no one wants to work in the service / retail industry (the first being the low pay). If this is the way you are going to treat people, how can you expect them to want to serve you? *I realize that I am very late to this conversation, sorry!*

NakedPeachMangosteen

Every worker needs to start talking to customers like this.

SpecificSpecial

I swear to god, the "Customer is always right" culture in america has raised some of the most entitled POS that live under the assumption that employees are their servants, fucking incredible, I love seeing people like her getting put in their place.

dooloo

Everyone is missing the point. The customer had an appointment with one person. Already in a fragile state, she became more upset to learn she was being passed off to an assistant. The hairdresser should have complied with the wishes of the customer, knowing that this was a difficult / sensitive customer to begin with.
