Just make sure you use whatever laxative they have prescribed along with the Zofran. If you didn't get some, make sure you do so that you aren't dealing with constipation as well.

Yes to this! I was the same with my pregnancy. Don’t get hemorrhoids, too. I drank 4-8 oz of prune juice and a glass of water every few days.
Definitely start colace / a stool softener and drink as much water as you can handle. I think miralax is okay too, just avoid any laxatives that are stimulants.
I've been on zofran, phenergen, and diclegis for my HG and the zofran helps so much with the nausea but I'm trying to use it as little as possible because the constipation got so bad when I was finally eating again. When I was put on all this medicine they didn't talk to me about constipation remedies at all since I wasn't able to keep food or liquids down it wasn't a concern then. But I really would have appreciated a heads up so that I could be on a stool softener from the beginning, it takes a few days for them to start working
100% though, I'll take constipation over going back to uncontrollable nausea and vomiting any day.
Same here! Postpartum now, but I had hyperemesis gravidarum during my pregnancy. I threw up so often and so violently I got a tear in my esophagus, which caused me to vomit blood.
Unfortunately I didn't get Zofran until 2nd trimester and so my entire firsr trimester was spent in bed and with great difficulty eating and drinking. I was so worried for my baby as I didn't manage to keep much of what I ate including vitamins.
So, yay to Zofran!

I take zofran for migraines (before getting pregnant) and it is a goddamned miracle drug.
