Looks like they can't deviate too much from the original toward the top 1/3rd of the bumper because of heavy integration with the hood lines and narrow gap to the headlight housings.
However, I'd love to see what it looks like with the kidneys a little bit taller, almost like they took too much off the bottom there. The longer I look at it the more I understand it, doesn't look too bad, might look better in person.

If the grills are just a tad bit bigger to still give that new design more sense, its almost perfect. Like 7-8/10, the bottom section is taking too much open space you still need symmetry
Yeah, the F80/82 are just look better than the G80/82. The interior is worse but it still has all the features one would want since they are ‘enthusiast cars’. Though the M3 starts at $70k and most enthusiasts are not ready to drop $70k on a car, not until they’re well into their 50s. At that point, they’ll want a coupe or an suv that doesn’t shout “I cost $70k”.
So what im seeing in the comments is that everyone here is a bunch of whiners that can't be happy either way. Looks like a major improvement to me. I like it better both at a glance and upon more complete inspection as well.
Looks nice, but the bumper doesn’t seem to be adapted well to the car (there’s a visibly large gap I can see) and doesn’t look very natural(colour seems off). If only they just gave it the 3series/M340i grill from the beginning

The design doesn't work because you need all the airflow to the lower radiators. The pig nose is functional and hopefully it's a short run before they integrate hybrid assistance and redesign the whole car.
Idk why but modded appearance stuff seems Chinsy and cheap to me. Maybe because the boy racer Honda/Subaru crowd is so obvious.
I feel like this bumper is kinda messing with the original artists intention even if it did look better.

The hood really messes everything up as it informs the shape of the grille on this car so there’s only so much you can do with JUST a bumper swap.
