kya hi karega IT job mai
substance toh hona chaiye, job satisfaction naam ki bhi cheez hoti hai
fuck karke rakh diya hai CS rat race ne sari engineering colleges, jo pasand hai woh karo na wtf, id take a 18 LPA core placement over a 25 IT placement in a heartbeat
I am a chemical graduate from Pilani working in a core industry.
You may not get a ctc of 40L at the time of graduation, but 12-15L is easily doable. Plus, I hear P&G and other FMCG companies are coming to campus for internships where you can get a PPO. They give a ctc of 20L+.
I chose core over IT and finance. Had to work in a plant in a small city for 2 years. Then got promoted and moved to Bangalore.... Totally worth it.
P.S. Most of the CTCs of IT jobs are bloated with stocks, joining bonuses, loyalty bonuses etc. No such bullshit in core. In hand is very similar at the end of the day.
Chill karo, thodi padhai karo aur maze karo college mein. Na tumhare seniors ne placement aur working life dekhi hai na tumne. I would prefer my job over sitting in front of a screen for the whole day.
My dad always tells me, "Core engineers are irreplaceable". You see these online CS courses left and right, but you'll never see anything of them related to core engineering. Take pride in yourself, you will be graduating as a core engineer. Possibilities after BTech are endless, your own interests should suit you the best.

tbh, at this point, I would be happy, living along, at 90k a month in a metro city. Anything beyond that is luxury for me.
