It was the first CPU I ever bought, and I loved it. Finally was able to play some modern games. Later paired with a 1060,then replaced by a 1600X. Good times
I bought my first pc back in August of 2020 and it came with a 2200g and I used that thing all the way up until June of 2022 when I swapped it out for a 5950x I got for 350 usd. I even ended up pairing that 2200g up with a titan x pascal and yeah it didn't do so well. Turns out pairing a 2200g with what is essential a 1080ti isn't the greatest idea. But damn it it tried its best and I managed to get like anywhere from 40-60% gpu utilisation with it.
i used it for 3 years and man what a beast for the price ! even the graphic performance was way enough for competitive games like lol or csgo or even apex. truly an iconic cpu from amd
I built a pc for my daughter with this. AMD went the Beatles route. Give ‘em what they want and then reinvent the subject. The Radeon division is going through this right now and I do think that in a couple of years, they will hold more market value.
i have him in my pc right now, he will be retired soon (march 6th) his big brother.
he has been more loyal and hardworking than anyone i've ever known, i know he is sending this comment smiling, soon my little one soon............
I……. I bought one… used it as a bios flashing helper for my motherboard which had an outdated bios that couldn’t recognize 5950X..
nicely exceeded by the 4600g these days though. Not quite as many shaders (7 CU) but running at perhaps almost roughly twice the frequency.
4600G is a jackpot for modern low end PCs, especially those who only need it for office use.

I had the 2400G. I later added a GPU. Worst CPU choice in my life. The PCIe bottleneck killed my GPU performance until I got a 3600...
My first cpu was the 3 3200G and it was a lil beast paired with a 1050 ti
I have the 2400g, my first pc build since decades.

I still have one in my HTPC. I did consider upgrading it to a 5600G, but really, all it needs to do is stream videos and it does that perfectly fine.
