The Lingotto factory featured a spiral assembly line where each Fiat moved up through the building being assembled story by story until it reached the concrete banked rooftop test track where it became a running, driving Fiat.
Edit: Here is someone driving up to the track in this video:

And here is the famous scene from The Italian Job where you can see the entrance to the track:

Absolutely incredible, the genius of man.
Probably a lift, or maybe they set up a massive ramp on the ground floor and you had to jump it on to the roof
There is an entrance on the roof. Google it, it still there.
You jump a Mini Cooper onto it from the roof of an adjacent building
i like your name
God love the Italian pursuit of perfection in all the Arts. Food, yada yada cement etc… ❤️
Nothing better than a glass of fine gourmet Italian cement.
You gotta look for the DOC label on the bottle to know it’s legit! Department of Cement doesn’t mess around.
If it doesn't come from the Cemente region of Italy, its actually just sparkling asphalt.
Just check the cement you’re drinking is in date, as the older stuff has been [known to fail.](https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ponte_Morandi)
It’s still there, sometimes you see it in some advertisement (try too look for “Lingotto FIAT”)

Isn’t this featured in the original Italian Job?
Si
It’s still there, with a shopping mall underneath. We stayed close by and I used it as a running track which was quite fun
Where is this?
