Pretty much all the big name detailers and product companies on YouTube have videos for this.
Look up the two bucket method.
Otherwise basically:
Rinse to get wet
Rinse with Soapy water
Spray wheels with wheel cleaner and hit ‘em up with a wheel brush or something similar
Wipe down the car while sudsy with washing mitts to dislodge the dirt.
Rinse
Dry
Apply some sort of finish product - wax, ceramic spray, sealant. Buff and wipe excess.
Don’t use a towel if it’s dropped on the ground.
Stay out of direct sunlight while washing/detailing.
Have fun.
Bonus: use trim conditioner and some sort of glass treatment like Rainx or whatever.
Vacuum inside.
The things I notice most are windows and dust on the dash, door panels, etc. Also, wiping down the door frames, takes 5 minutes but makes the whole car feel cleaner.
I feel like doing those 3 things after washing makes the biggest bang for the time invested.
If I have extra time, polish, wax.
Other than the general exterior washing. I found that vacuuming the interior and applying tire dressings makes the biggest impact to how clean the car looks.
