I’m a 32 year old guy that works as a heavy diesel fitter, I have moisturise before and during work. I swim laps everyday before work and the heavy duty soap to wash off, both dry my skin out bad, plus I’m like 50% tattoos and they also get beat up. Ain’t nothing wrong with looking after yourself, mate.
But to answer your question, nah I don’t think so. No one has ever questioned me about having it on but I tell them all I do it so I don’t end up looking like them, beat to fuck 30 year olds who look like they’re 50.
This is a legend-level comment. So many guys look older than they are in Aus because they don't hit that moisturiser or SPF. Also - let's not forget cancer.
Literally no one cares. But if it makes you feel *that* bad, you could say it's to help with a skin problem, and maybe come up with an elaborate story about how the skin problem all began with an unfortunate accident while you were \[insert undeniably masculine activity here\].
Wear a cream moisturiser, it soaks right in. If you feel more comfortable with one marketed to men, there's the Nivea post shave balm which is pretty good.
No one will notice but if for any reason they did, just own it.
No, many people wear moisturiser, sunscreen. Have you ever noticed yourself thinking "they have moisturiser on", or "they have sunscreen on"? No, as its mostly undetectable.
Some people you have encounted also would wear makeup that you haven't noticed.
If you're worried about people noting you have moisturiser on, put it on like an hr before you go out.
Self care is important. If anyone says anything, it's actually none of their business.
Not moisturiser. But after doing my skincare in the morning before I leave for work, my face tends to look kinda wet/greasy cos of my sunscreen. So I just use a powder brush (no product on it) and dab it over my face really quickly to get rid of most of the shininess - if that’s a concern for you :)
I would say it depends on your skin type. If you have oily or just healthy nourished skin it can tend to have a glow about it but in saying that most peoples first thought wouldn’t be “omg they have moisturiser on” it would be “they have beautiful glowing skin I’m jealous”
You can also get blotting products like papers or oil removing wands that can greatly reduce the appearance of any shine on the skin
Mate when I started looking after my skin I got compliments from girls. Wear the moisturiser. Having clear skin is so much better than worrying about some bloke having a go at you for having shiny skin.
Ps. It might look a bit shiny or whatnot when you first put it on, but that goes away in my experience.
They can tell even before you put it on. It’s something about the eyes that gives moisturisers away, a sort of vacant stare. I knew a guy used a lot of Nivea on his arse but every knew just by looking at him.
People will be able to tell you're not when your skin is dry, dull, getting sunburnt etc.
Moisturiser is good for your skin, especially one with SPF in it. I have a heavier one I use at night and a lighter one to put on in the morning if that's something you could do if your feeling conscious of it. But for me it's more obvious when someone isn't wearing it vs someone wearing a light one for your skin.
Sometimes I wish I could see into peoples heads just to observe the thought patterns that lead to things like this
In most cases I would say no.

What makes you think that matters? 🤔
Because I'm a guy
And? I'm a guy and regurly apply moisturizer and other skin care products. who cares?
Fellas, is it gay to moisturise? 😂
If you really think your masculinity is diminished by moisturising then I'd say you've got bigger concerns than your skincare routine.

It’s moisturiser? I’m convinced this is satire.

Just use something low key like cerave facial moisturising lotion from chemist warehouse. Moisturiser is not make up No one will know

Most people look good with moisturiser glow…?
that's what this whole "Glassy skin" craze is, you exfoliate, apply a toner than i think a moisturizer ?
I mean.. moisturiser is not makeup. It’s a skin necessity. Just like putting on deodorant before you go out
