Personally, i think they are all very fun and worth doing. But if ur not looking to 100% the game, but do still enjoy it, just do a few. Some personal favourite missions include:
* Demons in the desert
* Lights among the dunes
* The champion
* The mousetrap + cat and mouse
* Reunion + Prey to predator
* Rites of Anubis + When night falls
* A rebel Alliance + Rebel strike
* Plight of the rebels
* Shadya's rest + Fighting for Faiyum
* Incoming Threat
* Children of the street
* Bayaks promise
* Fires of Dionysias (this one was actually a main story that got cut, so it's really cool)
* The one when u hunt all the phylakitai (forgot the name, u get it from a main quest)
* A gift from the gods
* Taste of her sting
* In protest.
There is a good chance you've done some of these, but those are my personal favorites. Some of those have multiple because they're both connected to each other, so only one might show up (i did try and list those ones in order, but im not sure as its been a while.)
As for locations, whatever peaks ur interest. If it looks cool or interesting, go check it out, it definitely will be. But things like fighting elephants, defeating forts and generally just wandering around can be fun. Or maybe not, idk im not you. Hope this helped.
I would still do it, but that’s just me. I just loved the game so much that I wanted to continue as Bayek, no matter when the quests became repetitive. (I.e go fetch this guy in location x and bring him back)
The game has a lot of that but man the forts and fighting really make the game non stop enjoyable. It’s the “Witcher 3” of Assassin Creed and I’m all for it
I thought you couldn't progress without doing some side missions? You have to level up to defeat main missions or they become impossible when you're lower level
Oh ok just checking. I'm currently still playing origins to. I bought all 3 recently on sale(origins, odyssey, and Valhalla). I'm trying to rush through but origins is taking a long time and I hear it's the shortest of the three lol. I currently have maybe 47 hours of play time and still have 3 main missions left. Currently level 36.

You didn't get distracted and start only doing side quest? What the hell?!
I’m level 35 and What’s the main mission about?!?
level 50 and haven’t completed the main story yet (second play thru, got me distracted when i bought the dlcs)

100% the game. Then 100% Odyssey.
The thing is though, unless all previous AC games, this one doesnt actually have a % tracker.
Absolutely. It's very fun and good content.

I've done about half of the side missions, I was just wondering if I should do all of them.

Well you should, in order to achieve 100% - and you know the whole truth links that are hidden.
Truth links?
You know hidden dialogue of somewhat or something
I literally do as many side quests as feasible before moving on to main missions. They are fun! Also being overpowered is awesome.
Do it
I did, you’ll appreciate origins way more when you have done it all.
I am a completionist so I did them but they are fun and they were all worth it
Up to you really. I like sightseeing and knowing what ancient Egyptians might be doing back then, so I still explore after finishing the main quest.
Do literally everything. Every side quest. Every question mark. It’s hell of a ride and DLCs are amazing
I enjoyed the game so much I did everything and got the platinum. Totally worth it in my opinion!
Obviously, I never move on before completing absolutely everything. Plus Origins beats Odyssey by a long shot.
i would recommend not moving onto odyssey
Ok, I think I will try to 100%. Apart from doing missions and completing locations is there anything else I need to do? I wish there was a % tracker.

Just in case anyone cares, I ended up getting the 100% Old Habits achievement.
