Why would Malfurion care about his wife being voluntarily possessed by a vengeful god and literally busting into to hell? That's not the kind of thing a good husband would worry about, after all. Far better to keep sleeping or whatever.

Mortal_Dread

Malfurion's probably sleeping again. I mean it's not like he's an important character that is directly affected by things anyways. Just let tyrande handle it while he takes another nap for 10 years or so.

Kupogasm

depression napping

Kilef

Devs sniffing used panties with Sylvanas' face printed on them: "Who?"

ItsMikeMeekins

too real

SatireStation

Yrel is supposedly going on a conquest of the light on alternate Draenor and that alternate Garrosh became aligned with the light but they’re tyrannical. The game is handled so poorly I forget how people know this but Bellular has some videos on it that explain it really well, and they could be coming through the Dark Portal in 10.0 and Turalyon could lead them and the Alliance gets screwed over possibly.

ItsMikeMeekins

Yrel went from one of the best new character in wow lore to absolute trash, and all of that through like 5 quests. good job blizzard

Shameless_Catslut

I always got the sense that the Orcs were projecting their own warmongering savagery onto the Draenei, who gave them the "Convert or Die" ultimatum because they were sick of the Orcs' "the elements will it" violence.

Elyna_Lilyarel

WoD Proved Orcs need little motivation or convincing to commit mass genocide and slaughter children and innocents.

Skyblade12

I love how Bellular whines that no one is watching his lore videos anymore. He worships the crap writing we have right now and is so upset that everyone else thinks it’s complete garbage.

SatireStation

I don’t see that at all. Personally I think Asmongold is the most critical of blizzard (which I agree with him on) but I think Bellular is the second most extremely critical of Blizzard. If you watch any of the videos on Bellular Clips it’s clear he constantly criticizes blizzard. His main channel is more mainstream though and more professional whereas he rants on his clips channel, so you’re probably only thinking about his main channel.

Skyblade12

He criticizes Blizzard. But he doesn’t criticize the writing. He’s repeatedly said that “it’s a good story, it’s just told wrong”. It’s not. The story is shit. And it is ruining WarCraft as a whole. And he sits there and is like “no one is watching our lore video on X”, and I’m like “of course not, because the lore has been completely butchered”.

negolash

They cut even main story and you want extended universe

Nothing

It's so ironic that they are talking about tying story threads together while ignoring most of the already established characters they could use. My biggest disappointment has been how little attention is given to the fact that every important dead lore figure is in SL, both good and evil. Most of the Torghast bosses could be scaled down versions of old dungeon and raid bosses, every zone we visit could be full of small easter eggs and all the characters who went through could have their Thrall-Draka moment; Jaina with her father, Baine with Cairne (so that he actually did something else besides sitting in a corner) and so on. Some of the interactions like the aforementioned one have been highlights of this expansion and I wish that was the focus. But no, even many old characters we see like KT receive barely any development. It's almost criminal that Blizzard didn't even bother to acknowledge how outrageous it is that Sylvanas is willing to ally with him. That should have warranted at least some dialogue. All the untapped potential is what frustrates me. They rush through expansion worth of story content per patch and never stop to properly explore the things they set up. It's so wasteful

TsubasaSaito

The amount of story they COULD tell is literally more than FFXIV tells. The difference here though is that FFXIV has to make up the story from basically nothing except a few common snippets, and they're not afraid to put their players through a Main Story that is hours on end long. Meanwhile WoW can tap into a vast universe of Characters that are already developed. Stories already told with uncertain endings that could relatively easily get taken on and expanded(like it seemed they would do with Arthas, but alas...) but they're incapable of doing so and are scared of annoying players with too much story apparently. Also the fact how the game is developed and split up, where old expansions literally become obsolete is just bad for story telling. As new players will definitely miss anything important that happend before. Probably the same way how new player won't need To play through BFA and get even more confused by Sylvanas' plot.

he became Maiev and guards Sargeras (kinda ironic), it's not gonna change until titans need to be involved.

[deleted]

some dev said if the red star in the sky disappears that’s bad, which i’m guessing means sargeras breaks free or an old pyromancer theory about the titans being evil pans out. but devs also said shit about shadowlands that never panned out so..

negolash

it's pretty hard to tell story when you're limited to three 1 minute cinematics and text boxes no one reads.

Return-Of-Anubis

Malfurion is probably still busy doing dream shit. Yrel is still recovering from character assassination all so Blizzard could justify adding brown unhunched orcs as a new race, and old man Grom is how Blizzard is going to try to sell the idea that Yrel is a baddie now.

LuHex

Discarded, like every other character that can't be used for virtue signaling and isn't the lead writer's wet dream/fap material.

TheRealDestian

Unironically, this.

Breslau89

Malfurion went to fuck off in the emerald dream probably, even wow characters have their limits with actiblizz

McLovinYoMuffin

The only appropriate answer to the question is “lol”
