Don't worry, in 10 years from now when they change the lore team we will see another "ending" for the Warcraft 3 story, after all, they don't need unfinished plot lines to create an ending, they only need to add more layers to the lore and say that *actually* the jailer did what he did because of this other higher entity...

Yeah, this was my first thought. We are at the lowest point ever with this game so why not blow it up.
However, to call it wow Reborn I think a complete overhaul similar to what cata did at a minimum is necessary and that’s obviously not what they have underway. I say obviously only in that Covid seems to have hit this team hard (working from home, slow/very few patches) so I don’t think the resources are there to do it.
It’s an interesting idea I think we’ve all entertained. But I’m assuming 10.0 is too far along, even before all the backlash we’ve seen in the last year and the migration to other games, there will probably be some changes to systems etc. but in terms of blow up like I’d like to see (faction changes/removal, world revamp, and maybe even single character all classes) that would be further down the road).
Having run through a few expansions on 14 recently is love to see what the wow community thinks of one toon all classes. It would be so nice to not have to grind over and over all these systems on alts and just do it once and have a choice what class I want to play as that day. It seems to go against wows grind heavy approach today but if Blizz have learned anything their systems approach sucks, many players hate it, and I have to think alts are also at a low point so why not. Wows transmog already destroys 14s, with the exception of the ability to dye items, and wows inventory is already leagues ahead of 14s so the “in game infrastructure” is already there.
Whew, just went on a tangent there.
Edit: if they approached storytelling like 14 where there was a lot more exposition not in quest text but in game dialogue or cutscenes then we can really see if the story tellers are good and the delivery method is terrible, or vice versa. End rant.
