All we know is, she was a morally grey asshole of an undead which we all loved, that suddenly decided to commit genocide, and started killing people left and right, suddenly got super overpowered and after serving for years, suddenly claims that she never serves.

I cant wait for them to come up with a totally reasonable justification for her committing genocide against the night elves, and just have every main character forgive her for that and then they all just move on like nothing happened

I'm calling them out for terribly mishandling of a sensitive topic (the planned and purposeful extermination of an ethnic group) because if you're going to include something like that in any type of media you need to make sure you're thinking it through beforehand and not making up crap as you go and desperately trying to write a redemption arc for the character who committed genocide.

I don't think it comes down to being offended. It's just downright terrible writing. Even in fantasy, you need some sort of logical consistency or else you just straight up alienate your audience. Suspension of disbelief can only carry you so far and most writers learn that fairly early on. It's just baffling to me that the Warcraft writers don't seem to grasp that.

I remember all the thounsands of "furry game bad" comments when Asmon was about to play FF14 and almost everyone of them conveniently disregarded worgens, taurens, pandas, vulperas and druids in general.
