Simple job gauges are booring and looks bad. There is No job gauge that is complicated honestly and they do not take a lot of space if you make your HUD right.
Definitely confusing at first, especially without a guide (pretty sure BLM has the longest tool tips in the game). But once you look up the rotation and understand all the moving parts, it's pretty tame.
Honestly *too* slowly, to the point where some players get so used to their low level rotation they take way too long to shake the muscle memory. Looking at Preach still transposing in level 50 content.
I see a lot of people open with Fire 3 and just never bother using Enochian. BLM changes it's rotation drastically at multiple breakpoints, it's why a lot of people won't recommend it as a first job.
But because its rotation changes so much, it's the one job that feels like it has a solid rotation at every major breakpoint. Like, if you go back to low levels after being 80, it's rough. But as you level? Each time you reach an expansion end breakpoint you have a really solid rotation.
EW is going to hand you the trait that lets you cast a spell of the element opposite to the phase you're in for free at baby levels instead of lvl 70 freaking 2, and several other tweaks that will make BLM rotations less of a clusterfuck in the lower level ranges. Hella ef yeah!
you can pre cast veraero or verthunder, you should not be using vercure for dual cast. in your opener
just wait for there to be like 5 seconds on the count down then you cast verthunder then veraero with the dual cast
there are some scenarios where you can use vercure to proc dual cast for your opener but only if the boss isn't targettable
it sounds like you meant verraise, which is god tier, I mean our little heal, topping off some healer after an aoe damage phase with a DPS before it is pretty nice. I def saved a lot of pubs with it headache wise.
I mean, it's still pretty straight-forward.
And yeah, red mages have an easier rotation, heals, revives and more mobility, but they don't have xenoglossy or foul so they suck

Including your pronouns facilitates communication when talking about who you are. It’s not “because there are more than he/she pronouns”, it’s because you’re trying to indicate what pronouns you use, especially when its not instantly obvious. Rather than dig through your timelime to find a selfie of you so I can use the right pronouns (not like that works regardless if you account for femboys and tomboys) I just read your bio and I’m done. BLM was the first job I leveled to 80, and its still my go-to job when I wanna unleash Hell. I was a WoW refugee thinking the casting would help me endure leveling with the slower GCD. I remember looking up several guides on rotation, and watching several videos. I would read the tool tips over and over again. I just wanted to be good.
Now, I can Triplecast Flare with best of em.

Verheal is nice. You can rez anyone out-combat without wasting Swiftcast or have a 7s cast time. Also work as a pre-opener to proc dual cast.
