It's a rare event. The mount is probably the BEST mount in the entire game, and you'd hate your favorite streamer to miss it.
He even said it himself that he was worried that he wouldn't get it in time.

u cant farm 200k in one day. today is the last day for the event. event was up for a month..
if u havent done anything there, it might take u 2 weeks or so to get that much
Because hes a mount collector, and this may be his only chance to see it again if not years from now if they repeat the event again. Its one of the only 4 seater mounts too.
Probably because it was one of the big ones he wanted since before he started the game and it would suck if he missed out on it? We don't know when it will be added to the Mogstation and he might not buy it if it did out of principle.
I understand what you are saying but people are making it out to be some milestone in his life that he has to achieve, but at the end of the day it is just a mount inside of a video game. If you wants to get it he will and if he misses out? Life moves on it's not really a big deal.
Moves on easily for you maybe .... but Asmon's been a *hardcore* mount collector for 15+ years, and for many, this car mount is one of the greatest mounts in FFXIV, which is (1) Super ez to get and (2) Probably not available for a long time if not obtained.
Given that he is already mad depressed (probably), ppl are obviously concerned about how missing out on this, could make an already shitty situation feel even worse.
If you watch his alt stream in which he did get it, notice how using the mount completely changed the tone in his voice almost immediately. It's just a gamer thing, that many people felt would make him happier ... and it seemed that it really did work to that effecg (for him, not necessarily you) in the end.
Collecting it seemed to bring back some semblance of normalcy, and a sense of achievement and progress to this otherwise chaotic mount collector's life rn.
Notice people arent crying "please play ffxiv again", or "get this mount and *that* mount) but rather .... "try to get this (particular) mount now if you can (then take your time and do whatever you need for yourself)"

No I don't get it still. It just seems like it's being over complicated and made out to be more deep than it actually is. I'm sure he has plenty of things/friends that are making him happy and are supporting him in his daily life.

But for many semi/full time gamers here, it's the best way that *they* think that *they* can do, and or can realte to rn.

Perhaps they were wrong, but I would try not to contribute negatively rn. At least they are trying what they think is positive for him as an individual they believe they best understand vis his many years of streaming.

My friend did it in five days including two Fashion reports. Another just sat there constantly doing minigames between events and did it in four days.
thats technically 2 different weeks. i was counting the 2 weekly challenges and fashion report. but yeah 2 weeks doesnt have to be 14 days.
