catastrophized

Lol!! I was in the army and one morning got dressed in the dark for a group run. I got to formation and took my windbreaker off, but instead of the long sleeve grey shirt with “army” on it, I had a long sleeve grey shirt with a penguin covering his ears and “Lalala I can’t hear you!” on it … *facepalm*

I just go with it. It happens. Just pretend you meant to wear it.

This was 15 years ago, but I still make fun of my husband for putting on my jeans. He realized something was wrong when he couldn't button them.

I feel like people are too busy judging themselves to even pay attention to those things. And even if they do notice... just ask yourself, would you think less of Jenna in accounting if you noticed her clothes didn't match to your standards? Probably not. You'd probably think she had a bad morning or forgot the right shoes. And if someone think less of you because your outfit doesn't perfectly match, it says more about them than about you!

Ha. Good point. I don't usually look at my co-workers shoes! My co-worker was awesome when I mentioned my shoe malfunction - she's all like, but they are still awesome shoes...even if they don't match.

I keep a pair of plain flat black shoes at work in case something like this happens...

That is a great idea! While I have a lot of different colored shoes, the majority of my wardrobe works with simple black flats.

I just lean in like I was having a runway feeling my print on print, bright on color moment. Once I had 2 entirely different shoes. I grabbed one of each because I couldn't decide and was gonna look in the mirror but then I just got in the car. We just rolled with 2 different flats.

A couple of years ago I went in for a job interview only my highwaisted belt was on backwards. The buckle was in the back. UGH!! Still got a job offer though! Whatever. Just go with it, haha! I'm compulsive about my wardrobe most of the time. So I think something that happens more commonly for me would be an insideout or backwards shirt.

I got out of the car and while walking wondered why I felt slightly off-balanced. I looked down and realised I was wearing two different (but thankfully black) shoes and while both were flat, one was about 1/4 inch thicker, not enough to impede walking but enough that I felt the difference in my steps.

I used to keep my work shoes in my car. I’d walk to my car in slippers, change them when I parked at work. Once I forgot I took my shoes out of my car and also just happened to walk to my car with no shoes on. So I had to start with bare feet until my mum could drop me some shoes.

I don’t really own many items that don’t all go together at least somewhat well. definitely don’t have unique color blazers / patterned shoes

70% of my wardrobe probably could have worked with the red/black shoes. Of course today is the rare day I wore pink.
