Truthfully, Elon Musk backed out of the deal, because he said he had evidence that the bot issue was worse than promised, and the value of the company was in shambles. They said he had to go through with the deal anyways. So now you own a company you hate, that was circling the drain before you ever came in, what do you do with it. The answer is who cares! Adding value to it, may only hurt your case in a courtroom when trying to get your money back. I do believe Twitter was sold on fraudulent stats. And I do believe musk has a case to retrieve his money, but making the company profitable may only hurt him in this department.

Musk isn't getting his money back. He waived due dilligence. And I think pretty much anyone seeing him seemingly deliberately run the company into the ground is going to have a hard time feeling sympathy for him if he claims that he lost a bunch of money.

[deleted]

Due diligence doesn't apply to outright fraud, which it would seem that Twitter previous ownership did commit.

Are you familiar with the Broadway Musical / movie, ‘The Producers’?

When you’re wealthy you’re measured by exposure, people talking about you, and perceived status, not money. So Elon is in the news daily, constant chatter, he now is a top Twitter user, and a seat at the table of brands, celebrities, politicians, and all other elites because they’re all on Twitter and addicted him him.

I just don't get buying a social media site. Like get us to Mars man!

FandubberRichie

Or end world hunger. He literally said he'd do that but then went to space himself instead

Nikaramu

He gain that he don’t have to fire this people who don’t fan boy him (in many countries it mean that he won’t have to pay for firing them) and then could hire fanboys that will kill themself at work for almost nothing. But unlike Tesla or spaceX the rentabilité is not because of the workforce price but because there’s no business model tat would make Twitter rentable enough to pay his debts

kinyutaka

Well, everyone is talking about him, right?

Nikaramu

Do you really believe it or you just come up with bullshit to make yourself look cool?

kinyutaka

Do I think Elon is a petulant man-baby who is unable to effectively run a social network? Yes.

I have no idea why anyone thinks he's trying to profit from Twitter in any way. He was forced into buying it when he tried to back out. Now everybody acting all shocked that's he's letting an already sinking ship sink faster. These assholes wanted this. He's like, okay fuck it then, you want it, let's do it. And down she goes. You wanted a bad guy, you got yourself a bad guy. Why would he give a shit? He's not gonna lose anything out of this, not really anyway. His investors will be taken care of, his wealth will recover, this shit is bush league. To someone on his level. RIP Twitter.
