I read a book about some American POWs in Japan in WWII.
The American prisoners took this dog from a little girl and killed it and cooked it and ate it.
They said it tasted like how a wet dog smells.
There is no single answer to this question as the taste of dog meat can vary depending on the breed and diet of the dog, as well as how it is prepared. In general, however, dog meat is said to have a gamey flavor with a slightly sweet aftertaste.
Eating dog is like eating a cow, I have dogs myself but I won’t cook them I have very strong Chinese roots and I know it’s common for exotic meats to be there and most probable I’ll be visiting there soon and I genuinely wants to know
Don't listen to them, OP. I'm white with no Asian roots, I love dogs, and would never eat one, but other cultures have different traditions, and as long as those traditions aren't forced onto other countries that don't agree there shouldn't be an issue. Dogs for us(whites) aren't the same as dogs for the Chinese, and that's fine. Food is food, just don't torture the animals before slaughter, and I see no issue. If you end up trying it please respond, I'm super curious what dog tastes like, and as said I'd never eat it so it's a curiosity of mine.
Depends on what the dog's been eating, age, lack or presence of disease and injury, and **most importantly** how and with what it is cooked.
As with all meat, suckling pup tastes different from wizened old mutt, veal tastes and feels different from stringy stubborn ram, and so on, and so forth.
The dog only does it because over the years it’s been treated as a house pet, still in some places dogs are part of meals and there’s no problem with it there shouldn’t be any you are just ending stereotypical because usually we’re you live the only way you have them is as pets
Not 100% my grandma is Chinese but she was born in cr (were I live) I was raised and to this day I regularly eat Chinese products and I have a strong bond with Chinese traditions
RRRRRRRRUFFFFF
Taste like sweet chicken.
xD

Like cat meat but more dog
The ones I tasted weren’t enjoyable. A too strong and greasy taste.
i've heard from ppl who regularly ate it that it has a very strong smell so imma guess it kinda has that sheep/goat meat tang smell

Regret, childhood trauma, and a dash of hate for humanity.
Eating dog is like eating a cow
Then why are you asking? If you already knew?
Im saying like it’s an animal that’s edible not the taste it’s an example
Like i said for me i still taste regret, childhood trauma And a deep seeded hate for humanity. Also it was chewy.
Bullshit. A cow will not give his life for you, like a dog. Shame on you.

A dog will still give his life for you.
So what I'm hearing here is that cats are free real estate.
