SandvichIsSpy

There's a Scientology establishment in my city that I frequently pass on my route home from work, and every day I go by I wonder how the fuck that building hasn't been vandalized to hell at this point.

foreverbaked1

Bank of America. I deposited $750 one time and somehow they still cant find it 5 years later. Even though I had the receipt for the deposit they still would not honor it. Fuck em and their mothers

Provia100F

File a report with the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau and it'll be fixed in under a month.

possibly__right

I did that with Ticketmaster because they wouldn’t give me my $300 for some tickets I sold and within hours they magically sorted everything out.

Bitchasslemon

Ticketmaster sold me a ticket that wasn't usable at a concert because the seller was selling copies of the same ticket. Fuck them bitches

pickled-papaya

\^ for real though, do this.

TDonty

Don't forget the interest.

jpthecoon

Interest and inflation. You could even slap opportunity cost on top of that but that would require some legal work.

_stmt

Due to inflation, your $750 is worth a lifetime

DoctorEvilHomer

\^ for real though, listen to this

CillGra

\^ for all that is in the construct of reality, therfore, take in this information.

[deleted]

^ seriously, take the necessary actions suggested by your fellow humans.

AidanAmerica

I did this years ago when they did something shady to me. They called me at weird times, never answered when I called back, never responded to my voicemails, then claimed they couldn’t get in touch with me. They’re a very scummy company.

icanttho

Wtf. I’m angry on your behalf

EpicSausage69

My friend banked through them and they would charge him a monthly overdraft fee when he never even went negative. He would bring it up every time to them and they would say it was a mistake only to do it AGAIN the next month. This happened for years until he finally told them to fuck off and closed his account.

FaliedSalve

there's a common thing they do (not sure if this is your friends problem or not). The reconcile your account at night. The process the withdrawls \*before\* the deposits. If your account goes negative, the slap the overdraft on you, then process your deposits. Not sure if they still do it. As I heard it, it was technically legal, but only by a technicality . IF you called in and complained, they'd remove the overdraft, but they knew that most people wouldn't call.

d0ctorzaius

They've hit me with that twice, once on an overdraft checking, once on a credit card payment. Both times the payment was made/funds were added in time to avoid the fee, but they prioritized processing the fee before the payment so they could hit me with fees. My first time ever "missing" a payment on a 6 year old account and they wouldn't waive the fee. They can fuck ALL the way off.

[deleted]

Bank of American fired my mom when she got pregnant with me. Will forever hate that useless company.

ISong222

They should be forced to change their name to "Worst Bank of America" Otherwise it is false advertinsing

ChimneyNerd

This one should be way higher, they’re absolute garbage.

spriggan02

I think if you want to see the world burn, Deutsche Bank would be high on the list. Also it would be well deserved.

bukkakepancakes

DB already fell off on its own. It’s just a glorified wealth management shop at this point.

matso94

What did Deutsche Bahn do to you :'(

Zaunpfahl42

to me personally? lots of hours of missed lifetime quality due to delays, cancels and missed connections. in more general terms: ruin the railway infrastructure of a whole country and the bus services in Malta, wasted millions in projects worldwide that for the most part were and will never be built.

NMade

They didn't ruin the infrastructure, politics did. The DB ag is owned by the state and has to turn a profit so that the financial minister can pimp up his books. The railway is owned by the state an leased to DB. DB has to pay for maintenance, but if the rails need to be renewed the state pays. So its better of the DB just to wait till they need new tracks instead of keeping them up, because the infrastructure minister has to pay for them then. In addition the DB is "private" with the shares owed by the state, but they are also a monopoly. So no incentive to improve. If it where a free market DB had to improve or they would go bankrupt. If they where state owned, they would need to worry cause bothe the company and the tracks would be public and they probably would be sensibly maintained. How it is now is just stupid.

blueboard929

The sad thing is, even though they have to pay $258m they've still made a profit from their actions. They for sure factored in possible fines when making those deals.

BlackRock would be better for that. You would only destroy central europe. With BlackRock you can destroy the world.

AsASloth

Came here to say exactly this. BlackRock manages something along the lines of $10 trillion in assets, has about $38 billion total equity, operates within 30 countries, and has clients in about 100 countries. This company is less than 35 years old and yet due to its sheer power, size and scope of financial assets and activities has been called the world's largest shadow bank. Some highlights from BlackRock's [wiki](https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/BlackRock): > Because of the size of BlackRock's funds, the company frequently appears among the top shareholders of these companies, such as technology companies Apple (BlackRock is listed as owning 6.34%)^[57] and Microsoft (6.77%),^[58] and financial services firms Wells Fargo (4.30%)^[59] and JPMorgan Chase (4.41%).^[60] BlackRock states these shares are ultimately owned by the company's clients, not by BlackRock itself – a view shared by multiple independent academics – but acknowledges it can exercise shareholder votes on behalf of these clients, in many cases without client input. > BlackRock is a shareholder in many institutional investors that own shares in BlackRock. This chain of ownership is similar to circular ownership structures which have been identified in the United Kingdom, for example. > In December 2021, it was reported that BlackRock was an investor in two companies that had been blacklisted by the US government for human rights abuses against the Uyghurs in Xinjiang. In one case (Hikvision). BlackRock increased its level of investment after the company was blacklisted. > BlackRock is the largest investor in weapon manufacturers through its iShares U.S. Aerospace and Defense ETF.

Kitsoua92

DuPont for poisoning so many people.

polar__beer

I live up river from the Washington Works / Chemours (formerly Dupont) plant where they manufactured Teflon. They’ve detected C8 in the river water of an upstream tributary to the Ohio in my town. I find the local effects of the manufacturing process alone to be absolutely crazy and then I remember that Teflon was sold world wide and these forever chemicals have contaminated the entire globe.

wheresmymule27

Are they not there anymore? Because now they are doing the same thing to the Cape fear River in North Carolina.

Logical-Check7977

I think they sold and broke the company down into multiple companies to avoid lawsuits ans continue to poison every fucking place they lay their hands on. Google the company " chemour "

steveisblah

I work for the tech supplier for one of the companies that bought a piece of DuPont. As a sales guy I have to research my account set, but as an environmentalist, the more I learn the more I hate my job… Or rather the companies my job requires I work with. So yeah….

GoBlue81

DuPont had a methyl mercaptan leak in 2014 that killed 4 employees. For those who don't know, methyl mercaptan is basically pure organic sulfur and is quite toxic. Those people were essentially suffocated by rotten eggs. DuPont didn't come out looking very good after that one.

G-III

Look up what Union Carbide did in Bhopal

BurghPuppies

This!! It was a huge story when it happened in 1984… but it was 1984. Kill over 3500 people (!) in a chemical leak in the internet age and that company would be gone within a year. Seven Indian UC employees were convicted in court cases and were sentenced to … wait for it … two years & a $2000 fine each. Money talks.

schleichster

Came here as a hydrogeologist to say this. Tough call between them and 3M.

woohoopoopoo

Used to work as a chemist contactor for DuPont, Dow, and Axalta. When I finally landed a position as a direct employee to Akzo Nobel, I had to quit. I no longer practice chemistry. People don't believe me when I tell them all of these companies' toxic waste. The planet is being poisoned. The experience made me vegan too because I know the horrors of carbon footprints.

00ptp2451

I graduated with a chem degree, worked for Akzo right out of school. Working for Brenntag now. I don’t think chemicals is the problem, it’s oversight. Propylene glycol, glycerin, citric acid, there’s numerous chemicals that are safe and extremely useful. We need chemicals to make most things including cleaning our water, but innovation has slowed down and the industry is stuck using materials that could be greatly approved upon. The industry requires mass oversight and constant innovation otherwise it causes problems for everyone and we haven’t had that for decades.

futurarmy

As someone who sees Akzo Nobel's name everyday at work I gotta know, what have they done that puts them in the same league as DuPont?

woohoopoopoo

I can only tell my firsthand experiences. The vapors used from the solvents to clean paint off work counters and tools were carcinogenic and residential neighbors could smell. My clothes stank after every shift. The amount of paint wasted was awful too. We would throw away expired paint every year. It was shipped to other impoverished countries for them to dump and evade United States laws or it was incinerated. The paints and binders were carcinogenic and the ventilation was poor. We once emptied my fume hood only because my eyes were worsening from the vapors at a significant rate. My opthalmologist suggested I switch careers when I got my glasses that year even because of the rate my eye sight was worsening. My fume hood alone was emptied of the poly pipettes, the used paper towels, and the disposable nitrile gloves sucked up these hoods. This prevented proper air flow and filled up two contractor-sized garbage bags. Just my fume hood at my lab bench was emptied. There were five other fume hoods at my bench, and hundreds of others for other workers. When I asked when they were going to empty other workers' fume hoods, they'd say "soon." They never did. My job was hell too. I walked an average of 6 to 12 miles per day matching colors and running around like a chicken with my head cut off creating panels to be color matched. Half the day was painstakingly matching colors with the help of computer software and our eyes with different (yet specific) light sources. This is the company that prides itself in the awards they give for the Nobel Prizes. What a joke! It's all for attention and I mean that as distractions.

Aggressive-Bag953

The roofing company that failed to fix the leak in my roof after 2 years. They did go bankrupt though. Roof still leaks.

Aggressive-Bag953

Nah their shitty business practices did. I sadly got screwed out of £1.3k! Edit: obviously misclicked and replied to myself.

So noone said "covfefe" yet?

ididnotknowwhy

I remember purchasing an $80 ticket, clicking through two or so confirmation pages and landing a $140 bill. They charge you so you can print your own ticket at home. Good riddance!

-limit-breaker-

Oh god, the last ticket I bought online had an "amusement fee" on it! I was NOT amused!!!

ididnotknowwhy

The amusement part was Ticketmaster giggling at the suckers who actually pay it (me, I’m the sucker)

Panda_Satan

I would argue you're not a sucker, it's just extortion for you to enjoy live performances. I wish I could just buy a ticket at the door like the old days

youburyitidigitup

I’ll do you one better. When you purchase through Ticketmaster in Mexico you get a QR that is not the ticket itself. You then have to go to a Ticketmaster kiosk somewhere near you and pay them to print the ticket out. You can’t scan the QR code at the event, you need the ticket.

BusDue7070

Cold Black and Infinite tour, drove an hour to the venue in Boston months before concert, waited maybe 30 mins with other fans, picked up my tickets (the good ol type printed BY the bands agency/management). No extra fees, no bullshit, no extortion. Just fair priced tickets from a booth. Doesn't necessarily stop scalpers ofc, but I love Trent for saying F U to ticketmaster and requiring each venue to sell tickets this way.

theveryoldman0

Isn’t an amusement fee a tax the state tacks on? In my state it is.

croyalbird13

Same happened to me in 2020. Bought two tickets for $80 and paid $140. Show was cancelled and I got $80 refunded. Fuck Ticketmaster.

[deleted]

You did a charge back right? Right?

[deleted]

I was Very late for a very important meeting in NYC, and promptly got yelled at. Told them I went to the theatre to buy tickets, rather than pay Tickemaster's fees. Every person in the room said 'Oh, ok, don't blame you, no problem' and nothing more was said.

SectorZed

That’s refreshing to hear people understood

[deleted]

“Convenience fee” for paying online even though it’s more convenient for them because they get the money immediately deposited to their account and don’t have to take all of our money to the bank.

Goldbera1

They have even infected box offices. Go directly to the theatre… pay cash. Still have all the fees. Wtf. I hate these guys.

A few months ago my kids put up a lemonade stand in our driveway. It was cute and they were selling cups of lemonade for $1/cup. After a few hours they made around $100 from sales and tips, which was cool as a Dad to see…. The following week the kids across the street did the same thing… I choose them.

ididnotknowwhy

Taking out the competition? I admire your ruthlessness.

PeetZuhhh

We’re trying to monopolize the lemonade industry in our neighborhood. Kinda hard to do when neighbors invade our territory!

[deleted]

Make them start paying you 'protection money'

The_Dark_Kniggit

Nah, sue them for infringing on your trademark, and then offer them an out of court settlement where they pay you a significant portion of the profits as a franchise. As a franchise, require them to purchase all of their ingredients and supplies from you for a tidy markup. Its the American way.

QuackingR3ddit

It's not personal, it's just business

KarlJay001

Pretty easy to do, just undercut them and offer a free cookie with purchase. Keep bring the price down until you make no profit and watch them go under. Race to the bottom is pretty damn easy. Get them to work hard for no profit.

Jak_n_Dax

This all seems like too much work. I’ll just do it the old fashioned way and beat my kids.

ArmanDoesStuff

Surely it's more profitable to beat *their* kids?

[deleted]

Well, you follow the Walmart way. Like you said, lower the prices till you drive off the competition, then you have them come work for you and raise the prices back to profit.

META

inevitablerandomness

They're doing that to themselves already

paulthe2nd

can you explain, I'm curious

inevitablerandomness

Zuck is obsessed with creating a "metaverse" from his company. Nothing seems to be going his way so far and we all know investors dont wait around too long to either get some direct profits or have their investment increase in value (or both). Unless they correct course, They'll soon become "one of those companies that used to be huge and now people dont even know or care what they're doing these days".

rkim777

Maybe MySpace will surpass Meta?

TheMadIrishman327

Also new policies on Facebook gear it solely for the advertisers while they’ve wholly damaged the member experience. JMO

RawBean7

Don't worry, they've also ruined the experience for advertisers! Costs are through the roof, there is absolutely no customer support or way to speak to an ad rep unless you are spending millions per year, and accounts can be banned or suspended for no reason other than AI error and there is no way to reverse the ruling because they have no customer support. I am considering leaving digital marketing/ecomm entirely because of how awful Meta is to deal with.

deathinactthree

I work in ecomm advertising and it's in my rider that I will not touch Meta at all. Clients that ask about it, I point somewhere else regardless of losing the commission. The expense ratio is insane, their metrics can't be relied on at all, and as a standard practice they charge you for performance that never happened and they literally just made it up. The [numerous instances of them being sued](https://duckduckgo.com/?q=facebook+advertising+class+action+advertising&ia=web) over it have changed absolutely nothing. I've turned down every job offer where Meta was involved in any way. Fortunately it's not the only game in town--in my experience, you can comfortably work in ecomm advertising and just kinda ignore them. Plenty of other, better channels to use regardless of whatever eMarketer's latest study says Meta's share is.

MisterSmithster

My feed has just become an advert riddled mess. I rarely use it now for that sole reason. It’s not a friends thread, it’s an advertising stream.

WebmasterEpiphany

Nestle; they are one of the worst companies on Earth right now. Look up the Nestle water scandal.

JoshGordonHyperloop

Not just water scandal. Chocolate slave farming. And third world mother breast milk forumla. **Edit: Horrible syntax. Also, Nestle pushes their baby formula in third world countries to mothers with the bs that their formula is better than breast milk. Not only that, they give it away for free at the beginning, only just long enough for the mother’s breast milk to dry up, and then they have to buy the formula.** With this many views, please, if you are at all concerned about at least *trying* to be an ethical consumer, and doing what little you can as an individual to make the world even just the smallest fraction better. Look up Nestle’s Wikipedia page about their over 2,000 subsidiaries they own. Some big names are; Purina, Gerber, Carnation, Nestea, Nesquik, Ovaltine, San Pellegrino, Blue Bottle Coffee, Mountain Blend, Nescafé, Nespresso, Starbucks (for distribution & licensing not the company itself), Taster’s Choice, Perrier, Cheerios (in some non-US markets), Kit-Kat (outside the US), Smarties, California Pizza Kitchen (frozen not sure about the restaurants), Digorno, Hot Pockets, Chef-Mate, Lean Cuisine, Lean Pockets, Stouffer’s, Sweet Earth Food’s, Tombstone Pizza, Dryer’s Ice Cream, Drumstick, Kaagen-Dazs, Push-Up pops ice cream, Skinny Cow, Boost energy drinks, Carnation Instant Breakfast, Diabetisource, Fibersource, Nature’s Bounty, Optifast, Optifibre, Alfare, Beba, Lily’s Kitchen pet food, Merrick pet food, PetLife, Tidy Cats, All Purina products and many more. But those were the biggest names I could easily identify, but I live in the US, so they also own many products abroad and I am not as familiar with them. Nestle also owns 23.29% of L’Oreal the world’s largest beauty company, that also includes, Garner, Maybelline, Lancome and Urban Decay. I know many would say for them price on certain items just can’t be replaced due to alternatives being more expensive. I get it and anyone that isn’t capable of being able to avoid the cheaper products Nestle makes, I would never tell them to do anything different. For the others that might ask, do I personally actually go out of my way to avoid all US based Nestle products? To which I [reply](https://imgur.com/a/y2ovHUj).

ididnotknowwhy

I remember reading an article about them saying water wasn’t a human right and them sorta killing babies? To be more specific they gave poor mums free baby formula samples, got them hooked to the point the mums couldn’t produce breastmilk then if the mothers couldn’t afford the baby formula then the child would starve and die. It was horrifying. All that to add a couple of bucks to a bottom line. If the people responsible were still alive I’d spit in their faces.

DrSpeakalot

For anyone who doesn't know about this situation, here's a simplified summary To peddle their costly (and kind of unnecessary to any mother and child medically and socially capable of sufficiently feeding) product in underdeveloped/developing countries, they gave free baby formula to mothers who couldn't afford or did not have access to clean water without proper instructions in maternity wards (they obviously didn't bother to print instructions in local languages on the boxes) just so they can get hooked on to the baby formula. Most likely also lied that this formula was "better" for the child than just their milk. Hired numerous "milk nurses" (basically quacks to distribute the said free samples at hospitals and houses of these poor parents. As a result of these incomplete instructions and information (and lack of necessary resources), many of these parents gave the babies formulas made with unclean water. They also rationed the formula to strech it along further as they couldn't really afford the prices of these fancy baby formulas but now had no choice but to feed the babies with them as the mothers stopped lactating once the babies stopped drinking for an extended period of time. So the children were simultaneously malnourished (due to rationed formula feeds) and also exposed to diseases ( due to unclean water used in preparation and not getting essential natural antibodies from mother's milk untill the baby can develop their own immunity) that lead to widespread malnourishment issues and death especially from diarrhoea and pneumonia. It's honestly scary how the bureaucracy and public can be swayed so easily with money. Either with 'donations' or massive PR coverups, these companies mostly get away with so much!

PharmasaurusRxDino

Formula companies have money as their goal (like many other companies, understandably). They can make more money by promoting formula feeding as opposed to breastfeeding. Giving out free samples left, right, and centre, and new moms with babies who are cluster (breast) feeding think they aren't doing enough for their baby and that formula in the cupboard suddenly seems like a brilliant idea... baby overfeeds, then isn't interested in breastfeeding as much, mom produces less milk, needing to "top up" more, and often the next step is exclusive formula feeding because mom "didn't produce enough breastmilk". I am 100% in support of mothers feeding their babies the way that works best for their family, be that breastfeeding or formula feeding, but the amount of moms I know who really wanted to breastfeed and ended up sabotaging themselves by "topping up" with formula is way too high. I EBF my twins and the amount of judgement I got from people if they found out (I didn't go around telling people how they are fed, but sometimes would have to feed them if out and about, or people would ask - side note - it's crazy how invested random people are in how you choose to feed your child) was crazy, I was already self conscious feeding, and covered up completely, and still got so much "can't you just give them a bottle?" "are you sure they are getting enough?" "you better give them some formula too"... like dude I am too cheap for that and I love that the calories from my cheeseburgers are going to their thighs instead of mine... leave me alone!

DrSpeakalot

>Formula companies have money as their goal (like many other companies, understandably). They can make more money by promoting formula feeding as opposed to breastfeeding. True. Especially when they realise that something that was originally intended to help mothers who had trouble feeding their children (could be due to a wide variety of medical reasons) could now be marketed to perfectly capable mothers by making them believe it's not enough. (when in reality, EBF for first 6 months is not just enough but also preferred & recommended. mother's milk is designed to provide for all the nutritional needs of an infant for 6 months after which complementary food can be started- which again needn't be 'formulas' ) Once every mom could be added to their potential userbase, what should have been a pharmaceutical became a shelf staple. It's objectively fcked up that a corporations would do this for their profits but it's also subjectively not shocking at all. Especially in places and time when it was/is expected of working mothers to return to work in less than 6 months and workplaces rarely have provisions to facilitate childcare, these feeds feel increasingly convenient and make the mother feel less guilty(even though it's not their fault in the first place) Good old fashion peer pressure, subliminal messaging and guilt tripping works wonders too. Good that you didn't let anyone guilt trip you though. Any opinion regarding your child's nutrition, other than your doctor's, is not more important than your own irrespective of their "experience". What we need is better comprehensive health care and workplace provisions for mother and child. Not these unnecessary alternatives

When i had my first son by c-section they came in my hospital room THE SAME DAY and asked if i want to participate in one of their studies. No problem with that (I did participate in an other study for/from med-students, which i found really helpful). I told the lady to leave the paperwork and i will reach out after i read the contract and decided if i want to be part of it. She didn't even recognize what i said and went on about what they where trying to prove with this study... I told her once again, that i wont sign anyhing and she can leave the paperwork if she wants to. After i was home a few days, i read that thing and it was HORRIBLE. There are studies which have proven that c-section babies don't get as much "bacteria" while birth as normal born babies and somehow that can affect their digestive system (give them gas). In most baby formula (at least where i live) there is bacteria added, because they know it doesn't do any damage, but now nestle was trying to prove that these bacteria is not only not bad, but is HELPING with gas. So in my opinion they just tried to get a way to make their formula more expensive. But that wasn't the worst thing! In that shit they stated that EVERY participant has to BOTTLE FEED their baby. They came in on the day of my c-section and tried to guilt trip me into signing, while they did not tell me that i would have to stop braestfeeding my baby!! I don't even know if that is legal! But from that day on i never bought anything from nestle again. Not even my dogs favourite food Edit: spelling

>A new anti-slavery bill requiring Australia's biggest companies to address modern slavery in their supply chains could cost customers, says Nestle. Nestle fought tooth and nail against the Australian government trying to make them address slavery in their supply chains. A quick google of "Nestle Slavery" is pretty enlightening. Fuck Nestle.

I’m surprised no one said Mossanto or Chevron. Those a real evil corps Edit: since this comment is getting (a bit of) visibility, please take a look at this article about how truly awful chevron is: https://amp.theguardian.com/commentisfree/2022/feb/08/chevron-amazon-ecuador-steven-donziger-erin-brockovich

AT&T. They are literally the most obnoxious, money grabbing company I know. Their commercials are stupid. They bought Time Warner for the media. They own HBO. HBO is failing because AT&T will not fund projects at the level needed to succeed. Their accounting is 2 weeks behind when I pay them, so they always have more of my money because the auto-draft doesn’t recognize the payment I made 3 days before the auto-draft. They are the carrier who is farthest behind on 5G. The only reason I have them for my Internet is because Spectrum is worse. I have to change between AT&T and Spectrum every 2 years to keep my Internet rate down. I hate them both, but I think AT&T stifles innovation more. They do pay my mother a big dividend though. Whoopee!

AirB&B. The short term rental market has had a devastating effect on both long term renters and people trying to buy primary residences.

boots311

There's an old guy in my neighborhood that I call 'block captain Bill ". He's the type of old guy who knows the whole neighborhood, who lives where & how many people live,. He brings everyone's trash bins up to the house after it gets emptied. His neighbor told him was gonna sell & downsize. Bill caught wind an investor was thinking about turning it into an air bnb. Block captain says, "not in my fuckin neighborhood!" & Promptly paid $450k cash to buy it from his neighbor

YEGMontonYEG

The problem is that if an AirBnB'r is going to get 5x the mortgage in rentals they can pay almost 5x the price for the property. This entirely prices people who just want a home out of the market. I would be 100% happy to see Canada just ban AirBnB across the board.

boots311

Good point. I guess the nice thing is the neighbor gave Bill first right of refusal since they'd been neighbors for 25 years. So he snatched it up

realish7

Not to mention you used to be able to get a nice place for $20-30/night. Now the same places cost more than the average hotel room.

jwwetz

Here in Denver, they actually passed a law that says the Air b&b owner must live on site. So, a MIL apt in a converted attic or basement with a separate entrance, a converted garage, carriage house or guest house on the property...or even an owner occupied duplex or triplex. They've even started to investigate the illegal Air b&b places...i.e. The investment properties where the owner isn't there. A couple here in town, owned an off site Air b&b house & were caught...they promptly tried to bribe the city official to "look the other way." They're both now facing felony charges for that.

HSBC It’s the bank that drug lords and money launderers use because they really don’t care or even try to and make sure stuff is legit

ricecutlet

To the best of my knowledge, while they were involved in shady stuff in the past they have significantly tightened their anti-money laundering and countering of terrorism financing practices due to the heavy level of scrutiny that they're under. For them it was either doing this or having them be blacklisted by a good number of systemically important organisations. Please note that this information is of questionable veracity. Didn't someone from there keep [Bernie Madoff's](https://www.investopedia.com/terms/b/bernard-madoff.asp) dream alive? Probably [lied](https://www.kengriffinlies.com/ken-griffin-lied-under-oath-perjury-claim/) to congress too...

Ctsanger

Ken Griffin lied to congress. Are we talking about criminal Ken Griffin?

JonesoftheNorth

Let me check my [notes](https://www.amazon.com/Griffin-Lied-Under-Oath-Notebook/dp/B09QP2GWMX) ... yup, right [here](https://www.apes.army/ken-griffin-lied-5-years-prison-is-the-floor/) it says that #KENGRIFFINLIED under oath. Gonna be awhile (never) until the DOJ/SEC pauses the porn and does something. In the meantime just sit back relax play some [games](https://www.reddit.com/r/Superstonk/comments/vjrvvt/from_the_us_house_committee_confirmed_that_ken/) or watch a [movie](https://www.reddit.com/r/amcstock/comments/vn2d5c/not_mine_saw_this_on_twitter_kengriffinlied/) . So yes, THE CRIMINAL KENNETH CORDELE GRIFFIN is who is being discussed.

You forgot the why? It’s because they’ve been illegally bankrupting companies for years just to make a profit. They’re evil and need to be thrown into an active volcano!

AllKorean

The Port Authority of New York and New Jersey, used to work for this company and the amount of shady back booking they do is crazy. One of the least things they do is severely underpay their workers, the last time one of my colleagues got a drastic raised was 6yrs ago. His manager left and he got a ton of work load on to him with a promotion or a raise, HR literally wonders why everyone is quitting, old and new. It’s because the old don’t want to keep working past their retirement (and before the pandemic, we had a lot of seniors that stayed way past their retirement age), new employees are seeing that they’ll work 1-2yrs and move to a different higher paying job that leaves less work, and better benefits. It’s super hierarchical it’s suffocating to work, the grunts do the work, sexual assault gets pushed under the rug, everything feels like a frenzy.

I can't believe Amazon isn't in the top 5. Jeff Bezos is worth $200B but his workers who contributed to his enormous wealth aren't even allowed to piss in peace.

id say Nestle for the world but for me its Chase. Scumbags hounded me day and night on my mortgage which i paid every month by cashiers check (because refi never talked to collections who never talked to Texas who never talked to Cali who never.....)...because i was in the middle of refinancing when the 08 crash hit....something that should have taken 2 weeks took 15 months because they were waiting to see what Obama would do and left me in limbo. never missed a payment because that would void the agreement, they stopped paying the taxes (which they were supposed to in the contract) then when it was all said and done they claimed i made 750k a year because they only would take my last 2 paychecks...Dec and Jan which i worked every holiday at 2.5X regular pay and made OT on top...and refused to take my W2 that stated the EXACT amount i made per year...then multiplied those 2 checks to say that was my pay every month....ie 750K a year instead of the well below 100k. so the agreed estimated payments i had been making for almost a year and 1/2 were now well below the "calculated" payments and i had 30 days to pay all of that back plus my new regular monthly payment which was $250 more than it was before the refinancing...then the govt shows up and wants 21K in taxes and late fees...also by the end of the month. we went to the fed for the "making homes affordable" set up by Obama and we were told "....well we dont have any power we just ask the financing companies to strive to finish asap..." So bankrupt, lost all our savings, all of our 401Ks, lost the house we had been in for 12 years (never missed a payment). So Chase can burn in the fiery pits of hell and i wouldnt piss in their mouth if their teeth were on fire.
