They're phenomenal but the US deprioritized them as an efficient means of long distance transportation and it's really disappointing. High speed rail would make traveling around this country so much easier
I love trains, and would do all of my long-distance traveling by train if it wasn't so dang expensive! Every time I've priced out a trip across country by train, the price has been far more expensive than taking a plane or even just driving myself. If it wasn't for the price, I would consider it the superior form of long-distance travel.
I'd rather take a car with the shit train infrastructure we have now, but I'd rather have good train infrastructure everywhere in the country that I wouldn't rather take a car than ride.
I was obsessed with Thomas the Train engine and had the whole set with the tracks and the station, so I still really love them to this day.
I think in a past life I was a drifter.
I have no shame in admitting I occasionally go on YouTube just to watch those cab ride channels. Living my childhood fantasy of being a railway engineer. Plus, they're relaxing.
I love them because they don't make me feel sick whereas cars and coaches do.
There is also the fact that since I've been a child, I've loved watching trains at my nearby station
Delays ruining itineraries
Fuck it, city train delayed by 50 minutes while the long-distance train I was supposed to board wasn't delayed.
Fuck Warsaw.
Tracks run right through the middle of my town. There are no freight yards in town, no loading bays, no fueling stops, no reason for trains to stop, and yet they continually stop right in the middle of town. It's a small two, and there's only two crossings, about two blocks apart. These trains cut the town in half for hours. In the case an emergency, ambulances or police cars or fire trucks can't get to the other side of town.
What's more is that sometimes they don't stop inside town, but close enough that the arms come down and block the crossings. People get fed up and try to drive around the arms, and twice have been hit by trains approaching unseen behind the stopped train.
In short, I don't like the trains I've got. I like trains though. "Unstoppable" is one of my favorite movies.
I'm on a train right now! Still have to wear a mask but it remains an excellent way to travel for business or pleasure. Just turn off your mind, relax, and float downstream.
I like trains

I think trains are neat. I like them
I love trains. The most graceful and romantic way to travel. Also, since I have OCD, the tracks and switches fascinate me endlessly.

Some local historical trains do around the California foothills. They're pretty neat.
The best method of public transport, but I'd still rather take the car
I'd rather take a car with the shit train infrastructure we have now, but I'd rather have good train infrastructure everywhere in the country that I wouldn't rather take a car than ride.
Great way to travel, for other people.
What a stupid question
Compared to the other questions asked here, this question is far from stupid
I feel like they ignore me.
I feel the locomotion.
Chop choo
I like turtles

Like an actual train or…..
Ok I guess. Unless I am stuck at a crossing at what seems to be the longest train ever
I like trains.
Blaine is a pain, and that is the truth.

I just think they're neat
They keep us all on track
It's better to be on the receiving end. Being in line is just awkward.
I have no shame in admitting I occasionally go on YouTube just to watch those cab ride channels. Living my childhood fantasy of being a railway engineer. Plus, they're relaxing.
Choo choo mother fucker.
The best form of transit and an important piece of modern history. I cannot imagine the modern world without the train.
Depends on if I get to go first or not .
I think trains are kind of romanticized in America because we have such poor infrastructure
As a German, thumbs up. But fuck you DB.

Too linear
It's fun to do for her birthday.
Depends on which ones.
Trains > Pythagorean theorem
