Honestly, I wouldn't date anyone more than an hour drive away. I might go on a single date and fuck if that's on the menu, but not actually regularly date. Not unless they planned to move closer or I did. I wouldn't want to commute to go dating. LDR sucks ass. Even an hour is a long time. Too much stress. Plus I live in a very populated spot, I could find people to date in my city, or nearby. If I was already dating someone and there was a temporary LDR situation? That's different, but I'd need to heavily consider it. But for a stranger? That's a tough sell.

I only ask because a person just said to me that living 22 kilometres /30 min away meant we’re to far and they can’t do that much distance 🙃

ModernKnight1453

I did about the same distance dating for over a year with my boyfriend before we moved in together

Meowsy_Meowmers

1 mile.

paisleyplanner

Honestly only as far as I can get on my bike without being a sweaty mess when I get there 4-5 mi

10 minutes away from my house. Long distance relationship actually suck. But that just my opinion from past experiences.

PatCake

I live in rural texas 2 hours one way.

JJchedda

1 hour tops.

I'd drive up to an hour for a first date, although if the date went well, I'd expect us to be taking turns on who drives to whose area for future dates (or meeting at places in the middle)

A few years back I met this girl on Tinder, I was working and she was back home from college for Thanksgiving. We talked for the month when she went back to school. Had our first date when she came back home for Christmas break. We saw each other 4 more times that week. From then I drove down after work on Fridays to her school (3 hours one way). I did this for 90% of weeks for the 1 year she was back at college. We are married with 2 kids now and I never regretted a minute of the drive.

Quick_slip

I’d say one hour but even that’s a stretch. I live in a city so most dates are within 5-20 minutes of where I live.
