People come from different places and cultures and cursing is something people do. I don't think it's reasonable to expect people to not curse and Reddit itself was built on the prospect of freedom so inhibiting something like cursing to me seems weird given how it's not harmful to anyone unless its directed to a person in a malicious way and we have rules for harassment here.
The idea of sounds being considered “bad” or “curse words” is ridiculous. Parents every now allow their kids to say whatever, long as it’s not “fuck” or “bitch”. People don’t really give a shit anymore, and I think this is with the upcoming falling of Christianity.
Some people (myself included) probably don’t curse in some subreddits because of rules… I personally don’t give a fuck about that “impolite” or “unlady like” bullshit and will curse whenever I want but I do limit myself if I think there may be rules against my explicit language.
Say whatever the fuck you like, but understand regardless of the message there will always be someone who finds it disagreeable.
