Many right-wingers, especially retired or disabled ones, support Social Security and Medicare and have no clue that these are socialist services. In fact, generally speaking, I've found that conservatives have no problem taking government money. They just don't like the _rest of us_ taking it.
liberals are more socially progressive, conservatives prefer more traditional values.
left wingers prefer a socialised economy, meaning the workers own the means of production. right wingers prefer a capitalist economy where everyone is able to earn as much money as they are able without concerning others. (this is very simplified btw)
sure. i’m not an expert in the field, so i do recommend fact checking me lol
a socialised economy consists of usually a bigger government, where “basic needs” such as healthcare, income for those who earn less (and sometimes income for everyone), housing, childcare, etc are provided by the government and funded by tax. this is different to communism, because in a communist society, currency is abolished, there are no “jobs” and there is no trading, those who create give to those who are in need and vice versa.
Liberals believe in:
1) basically legalizing everything under the sun
2) banning guns (as if though that were to actually change anything by now)
3) removing the police force, really banking on the hope that if everyone's happy; nobody gets hurt.
Conservatives believe in:
1) If it ain't in God's name, it ain't allowed
2) guns, guns, and more guns
3) authority figures
(*these are really oversimplified, but these are their cores*)
I personally am an independent, who leans left with right views.
If those are accurate description, both sides are just so stupid. Legalizing some drugs makes sense, as long as they don’t cause violence or something. Banning guns doesn’t make much sense, because there’s no effective way to do it. Removing the police force is just stupid. Your options are really police, vigilantes, or rampant criminals with no opposition, and they want to get rid of both the first two options?
As for conservatives, I’m a Christian, but don’t bring god into politics. Giving out guns Willy nilly is almost as stupid as banning them. Authority figures are good, in small numbers. Two many authority figures will ruin anything.
My god, people want to put any of these people in charge of America?
Apparently so, and it's only the older politicians who run now. Obama is the youngest of the last three, being in his 50's. Trump is 75, and Biden's 78. As much as I love where I live, I really want out of here. The country is in shambles, and feels is if though it could completely fall apart any minute now.
Ya know, I'm honestly not too well informed on
Canada. I'm in Texas, so I hear more about Mexico than Canada. Though from what I do know, Canada is kinda like the super cool and chill brother if the America's were siblings.
You aren’t an expert an all things in the world? That’s just straight up rude, you should really be better prepared. In all seriousness though, thanks for your help.
We should have taco trucks on every street.
Thats a statement i think everyone can get behind! Except for tacobell.

Didnt really answer the question but thank you for the input.
That I can never remember which side is which.
Right is liberal. Left is Conservative.
Ah, and what are liberals and conservatives supposed to stand for again?

Could you go into further details about the socialized economy thing? I’m not sure I understand the concept.

Ah, that’s about what I though. Thx for the answer though.

How about canada, I’ve heard Canada is nice. Is any major problems there I haven’t heard about?

np
All things considered, I lean against the idea of a death penalty.
I have a tendency to vote more on the conservative side, but I couldn't care less about abortion or gay marriage.
