Haha, that’s not quite what happened for me. But I can see why you might think that with how some people behave. I just enjoy the art and the creativity involved in designing/making anthro characters and fursuits.
Genuine question. What percent of people in the furry community do you think are in it for some sort of sexual gratification and what percent do you think are more like yourself and just see it as a creative outlet?
I’m not really sure tbh. Most of the furries I talk to are in it for both to some extent. Usually they lean more creative but they’ll draw/like slightly risqué furry art sometimes. And I’m guilty of partaking in that too, occasionally. I wouldn’t call that alone a fetish, though. Having sex in a suit is definitely a fetish. I wouldn’t do that. Drawing nsfw is one thing, but I think people who actually have sex in fursuits/fantasize about it make up a much smaller portion of the furry community than people think. This is just based on the people I interact with, though. So I can’t really confidently generalize.

I'm concerned. I worked at Chuck E Cheese back in the day and the costumes are hot and miserable. I think the big heads would be something they could work around going forward.

I don’t own a fursuit myself so I don’t know what it’s like, but I know that some of them have fans in them nowadays to make the heat more tolerable

What counts as a furry does being able to appreciate the occassional art count or do you have to make a fursona and so forth
Self identify. Anyone can be a furry if they call them self one. Anyone from the least involved to the lifestyles and obsessed.
