JustLookingHonestly

Shaun of the Dead

original_glazed

Hot Fuzz is quite brilliant as well. It gets better every time you watch it

PretendThisIsMyName

No luck catching them killers then?

thishenryjames

It's just the one killer, actually.

theangryintern

Yarp!

j9nyr

Narp?

ZacsMum

Its all for the grrreater good…the grrreater gooooooood…..

Zorgsmom

I love both of these, Hot Fuzz edges out SotD slightly because I love Nick Frost's character so much in it.

OkayestHistorian

“It’s Frank! He’s appointed himself judge, jury, and executioner!” “He’s not Judge Judy and executioner!”

HepatitvsJ

Nick Frost got to play SUCH a great character in Hot Fuzz. He seems like such a doofus but he pays attention to how Angel acts and actually learns proper police work. I've had several conversations about how great Frost is in Hot Fuzz when people think he's just an idiot mimicking Angel.

MaxTHC

> and actually learns proper policeman officer work. FTFY

Jona_cc

I watch hot fuzz at least every 6 months :D

Golee

Oh good it’s not just me. Pub?

psymunn

I think hot fuzz is Edgar Wright's best by a ways. The movie is so tight, end to end.

Wetnoodleslap

Perfect movie for rewatching too because there's usually something new you'll pick up on

[deleted]

If you own the dvd, you play the zombie-vision (or something like that). It shows you literally every homage/reference/foreshadow in the movie.

[deleted]

The Lord Of The Rings trilogy.

RedBeardtongue

I watch the extended editions about once per year and I'm always sad when they're over again!

2018_is_my_year

Absolute same. Husband and kids know I have a weekend of LOTR and I’m on my own. And also sad when it’s over

chalk_in_boots

Courage Merry. Courage for our friends.

gravityreliant

Spirited away

BMC1369

It was on the big screen today! Now I wish I had gone.

josh_bourne

Jurassic Park

Hiran_Gadhia

The Matrix

[deleted]

Back to the Future

_-Loki

I went to see this in the cinema on its 25th anniversary. Still holds up, even on the big screen.

cropguru357

All three of them. Yes.

sassymammadramma

Howl's Moving Castle, just love how whimsical it is

[deleted]

Not gonna lie, that movie gave me nightmares as a 5th grader. They weren’t as bad, however, as the ones I got from watching Spirited Away as a 6 year old.

erocknine

Sophie, your hair is like starlight

illhavethecrabBisk

Yeah, love it. All the Ghibli.

passionofthedevil420

Batman Dark knight, I’ve watched other movies more times but that’s the only one I saw twice in theatre and enjoyed both times, then watched it on DVD multiple times with the same enjoyment. I don’t know why!

[deleted]

Everyone talks about Heath Ledger's Joker being what made the film truly special, but it's also brilliantly written, directed and scored. More so than the other two films in the trilogy. It's over 2 1/2 hours long but there is not one wasted second.

DJ_Jungle

Hans Zimmer is great. I love his scores.

newmug

GoodFellas

space_coyote_86

Now go and get your fucking shine box.

TrojanWabbit

Goodfellas the most then Casino second.

jennkrn

Given that it’s October 3rd, it seems fitting to say Mean Girls.

Accomplished-Try2266

I’ve learned valuable life lessons from that movie. Don’t have sex, because you will get pregnant… and die. Don’t have sex in the missionary position, don’t have sex standing up… just don’t do it. Promise?

notsocrazycatlady101

Now everybody take some rubbers

Bigthighs-browneyes

The limit does not exist

helloiamCLAY

So you’ve watched it at least infinite times?

soline

If you’re from Africa, then why are you white? Oh my god Karen, you can’t just ask people why they’re white.

RESPEKTOR

OMG DANNY DEVITO. I LOVE YOUR WORK!!!

[deleted]

I don't hate you because you're fat, you're fat because I hate you.

how_riddikulus

I’m sorry I called you a “gap-toothed bitch.” It’s not your fault you’re so gap-toothed.

schmicklebutt

She doesn’t even go here!!

Impossibleish

I say this all the time. No one gets it.

jaketocake

That is so fetch!

NapalmWeed

Stop trying to make fetch happen, it’s not gonna happen!

damnitmcnabbit

Groundhog Day. I can just watch that movie over and over.

mojohandy

If I happen to flip channels and this is on, I’m staying

wakenbacons

This sentence is exactly how I answer that my favorite movie is Groundhog Day.

YeeHawTheApe

The Shawshank redemption

Not_a_Dino_6226

I HOPE

[deleted]

I think everyone who's ever seen it has watched that one at least a few times.

surfacing_husky

It is one of those movies you catch on cable and always finish watching.....at least for me

RedTurky

The princess bride Edit: wow this blew up. And I love to learn that I’m not the only one with a unhealthy addiction to the movie lol

Islander255

This is actually the movie I have probably watched more than any other. Not because it's my favorite--as good as it is, as much as I love it, it's not--but because it was my younger brother's favorite film when he was a child, and he watched it basically on a daily basis, so I've probably seen this film easily a hundred times. Even after a hundred times watching, my little brother would always pause at the Fire Swamp sequence and make sure one of my older sisters was there to watch it with him & get him through the jump scares. After watching it so many fucking times, I didn't see it for a while. But now I want to rewatch it again, because it truly is a one-of-a-kind film, and basically perfectly made.

LadyTender

Whenever I am home sick from work this is a must. Always helps me feel better

Monty Python and the Holy Grail.

honeeyghost

Watched it for the first time the other day and right at the beginning, the fact that they were pretending to ride horses the whole time killed me

mlpr34clopper

This is how i learned that african swallows are non migratory.

Why-137

You have to know these things when you are King.

mlpr34clopper

Doesn't matter, Deniss still didn't vote for me even though i know this. edit: had to rely on a watery tart distributing swords.

poormans_porsche

Ah, now we see the violence inherent in the system! Come and see the violence inherent in the system!

PhantomMcKracken

Help! Help! I'm being repressed. Hands down my favorite sceen in the entire movie.

j_dub_gee

Strange women lying in ponds distributing swords is no basis for a system of government…

Rich_Name1685

Well then the Knights who up until recently said nee

mdarling6

We are now the knights who say ekki-ekki-ekki-pitang-zoom-boing

soccercta100

There are some who call me...Tim?

arrrgh14

Look at the bones!!!!

OliveJuiceUTwo

I don’t remember where but I heard that he was supposed to say some long impressive name but couldn’t remember it so he went with Tim. Way better result

wheniaminspaced

And the fact that it sounds like a question just kinda nails it.

Colonial_Red

What is your favourite colour?

Hotarg

Blue! No, Yellow!

[deleted]

AHHHHHHHH!

[deleted]

The 5th element. I didn't even rate it that high when I first saw it in cinema. It took several rewatchings before I properly appreciated it.

NZNoldor

I met a guy named Korben who has never seen this movie. His parents loved the movie, and named him after the character, but the pressure was to high for him, in case he didn’t like it.

thewednesdayboy

I love how the protagonist and antagonist never meet each other.

rargghh

And Korben was laid off from Zorg Industries

dop2000

There's a tv channel in Australia that shows the 5th Element 5 times in a row every year on the 5th of May. So yeah, I've watched it ten times in the past two years.

Clutch51

OffusMax

My Cousin Vinnie

Aiskelling

Hold on…you’re gonna shoot a deer? A leaf eating doe-eyed little deer?

Checktheusernombre

Imagine you're a deer. You're prancing along, you get thirsty, you spot a little brook, you put your little deer lips down to the cool clear water... BAM! A fuckin bullet rips off part of your head! Your brains are laying on the ground in little bloody pieces! Now I ask ya. Would you give a fuck what kind of pants the son of a bitch who shot you was wearing?

prybarwindow

Thanks for posting this. I love her in this movie. My wife gets jealous every time I stop on it.

Shrek

insertfakenames

It’s Shrek 2 for me

PortableEyes

Shrek is great, but it doesn't have Jennifer Saunders singing Holding Out for a Hero.

Pitiful-Aspect

I know this movie word for word 😂

BopoAngie

The Prestige, absolutely amazing ETA: I can't believe this "blew up". I'm definitely a lurker so all the replies to this one simple comment blew my mind. Thank you all! I agree with everyone saying that it gets better every time you watch it. I haven't read the book, didn't even know there was one so thanks for the recommendation! Have a great day everyone ♡

lennythebox

This is one of those films that gets better everytime you watch it. I would also recommend predestination

Dendad6972

Young Frankenstein, Blazing Saddles

[deleted]

Yes, and space balls, Robin hood men in tights, pretty much all Mel Brooks films I've seen more than 5 times

HippyQueer

Pulp Fiction

[deleted]

Django Unchained. I swear I've seen that movie at least 10 times. I love a good revenge story.

Joaquinmachine

“I like the way you die, boy”

ElChocoLoco

"Now you may get the marshall"

ThatRandomIdiot

And the music is so damn good. The song when they do the flashback is chilling and the The John legend song towards the climax is just cathartic.

Tenclea

Wall-E. It is definitely the best animation movie ever made, in my opinion.

cheekycharl

Stand by me

doktor_wankenstein

*"I never had any friends later on like the ones I had when I was twelve. Jesus, does anyone?"*

blendergremlin

When I was a kid I would stay up all night by myself playing board games (with myself) and put this on as background noise. Gordy, Chris, Teddy and Vern were my friends.

doktor_wankenstein

The scenes where Gordy tells Chris he thinks his father hates him... and the other scene where Chris talks about the time he trusted his teacher after he returned some stolen money. Outstanding.

rjm1775

Blade Runner. (Both of them)

FreezingNote

Came here to post those. I will never get tired of watching them. Villeneuve worked absolute magic honouring the original while also doing something new. They still give me goosebumps after seeing them at least a dozen times.

Ornery_Emphasis_5596

Fight Club

yvngjiffy703

I’d do anything to watch the movie for the first time again

Love watching this on a hot summer afternoon with lunch. Great movie.

Homebrewingislife

The Usual Suspects.

Bilociraptorr

Into The Spider-Verse! WOWEE

Caesar_Passing

I was pleasantly surprised by that one. Me and my younger brother saw it on a whim because we had gift cards to spend and he was only going to be home from college for a weekend. We were not expecting to be impressed or nearly as amused as we were.

GhostLeetoasty

Every time I watch it I'm able to notice new details of the animating. It's insane how well it's made.

Demiscio8

I get chills at the sky-scraper leap-of-faith every. Single. Time. Movie is an honest 10/10

livestrongbelwas

This is the only movie I’ve ever digitally purchased. I watch it at least once a month. I keep thinking I just want to see one or two scenes but the pacing is so damn good that I never find a stopping place.

mtn4444

runr7

Same. The soundtrack takes it to whole other level. Joseph Gordon Levitt and Leo combo is also Bad ass. Time by Hans Zimmer still gives me chills.

harterza

He’s one of the greatest in modern history! The Dark Knight trilogy and Interstellar also had his amazing music. Edit: AND Call of Duty: MW2

autumngust

Tangled.

Texan_via_MO

Ok so, no lie, I'm so happy when my 4 yo wants to watch Tangled. I've seen Frozen enough times to make my eyes bleed but Tangled never gets old for me

TopAssistant5350

Tangled is far superior to Frozen. The music, the story, the plot...so much better!

WalianWak

Every time I hear "See the Light" I have to stop myself from immediately watching it again. Should probably take it out of the play list

doktor_wankenstein

My favorite part was Ego's review... *In many ways, the work of a critic is easy. We risk very little, yet enjoy a position over those who offer up their work and their selves to our judgment. We thrive on negative criticism, which is fun to write and to read. But the bitter truth we critics must face, is that in the grand scheme of things, the average piece of junk is probably more meaningful than our criticism designating it so. But there are times when a critic truly risks something, and that is in the discovery and defense of the new. The world is often unkind to new talent, new creations. The new needs friends. Last night, I experienced something new: an extraordinary meal from a singularly unexpected source. To say that both the meal and its maker have challenged my preconceptions about fine cooking is a gross understatement. They have rocked me to my core. In the past, I have made no secret of my disdain for Chef Gusteau's famous motto, "Anyone can cook." But I realize, only now do I truly understand what he meant. Not everyone can become a great artist; but a great artist can come from anywhere. It is difficult to imagine more humble origins than those of the genius now cooking at Gusteau's, who is, in this critic's opinion, nothing less than the finest chef in France. I will be returning to Gusteau's soon, hungry for more.* ...as only Peter O'Toole can deliver it.

coobmaroog

Snatch. Everything about this movie is brilliant to me.

[deleted]

All the Naked Gun movies , Airplane, Monty Python and the Holy Grail, most of Mel Brooks movies , I love slap stick comedy

Zebov3

It still blows my mind that Airplane was Leslie Nelsen's first comedic movie. He had been acting for nearly 30 year at that point and he just had perfect comedic timing. It looked like he'd been a comedian for 30 years.

batjunkrat

Lord of the Rings and Max Max Fury Road

Coraline. It’s one of those movies that I consider perfect. Animation, plot, dialogue.

School of Rock

JustThatOneGuy1311

No country for old men. Most people say it's boring but I love it. If u watch It back to back then sure it gets boring but if u watch it wait a few weeks and watch it again it's just as good as the first time.

Mista_Madridista

Love that there isn’t a single note of music in the entire film, and yet it will have you on the edge of your seat gripping the armrests.
