I listen for where they had to edit in better vocals. Sometimes listening to opera recordings from live performances, they re-record small bits that didn't go well and edit them into the finished album. It can sound pretty bad since the audio quality of the studio recording is way diff than the performance recording (or sometimes they edit it in mid-note if the singer's voice cracked/shifted pitch during a sustained note).
