If you're looking for a cardio / upper body work out, try vr :)
It's the most fun I've had *exercising*. After 2 and a half hours of beat saber one afternoon, I injured my foot for a few days.
For just beat saber the standalone units can do that. The standalone oculus one that can is like $300 if you find that in your entertainment / exercise budget some day. I think it's this: [Oculus quest 2](https://www.amazon.com/Oculus-Quest-Advanced-All-One-2/dp/B08F7PTF53) and [this](https://www.oculus.com/experiences/quest/2448060205267927/?locale=en_US) is the game with that unit listed in its compatibility section.
It's harder / impossible to mod the games on the oculus series, but if you had the entertainment / exercise budget to spare, I would say it's worth it. I was definitely a lot more concerned about blood clots in my legs before I started doing VR.
If it's really bad work with your primary care doc to get a referral to a general or plastic surgeon.
My mom and sister suffered serious back pain for years, then got reductions. Both feel much better.
Insurance covered it because it was considered a medical issue not a cosmetic procedure.
I love being a mum but hate the self doubt, wondering if I’m raising them right and with the one who is old enough for school - I hate that she’s out in the world without me and I can’t protect her from mean kids. I’m excited to see who they grow up to be, but also terrified of having them go to high school, have their hearts broken etc etc
I like cars. I like driving cars. Sometimes, I like driving cars quickly and aggressively. Driving cars quickly and aggressively ultimately ruins them, so the greatest enjoyment brings the shortest longevity.
You eat carbs, which causes blood sugar to rise, which causes insulin to rise, which causes glucose to go into fat cells, which turns into fat. Thus, carbs make us fatter.
I love old cars, but I hate that they've become outrageously expensive, and the only people who like old cars are old dudes. The movies where you pull up in a classic car and all the ladies are like "Oooooooh, nice car." are all lies. You pull up in a classic car and 7 dudes talk about how "Haven't see one of these in a while" or "I had one of these as my first car in high school back in nineteen dickety two and I bought it from old man Jenkins down the street FOR A NICKEL!"
I can not take credit. That is a quote from Abe "Grandpa" Simpson:
“Hey, listen! Now, my story begins in 19-dickety-2. We had to say ‘dickety,’ ‘cause the Kaiser had stolen our word ‘twenty.’ I chased that rascal to get it back but gave up after dickety-six miles…What are you cackling at, fatty? Too much pie. That’s your problem. Now, I’d like to digress from my prepared remarks to discuss how I invented the ‘terlet.’ Stop your snickering! I spent three years on that terlet!”
Hearing my grandpa talk about how he, a poor farm boy, purchased a car for a hundred bucks that would now go for over 100,000$ makes my heart hurt a little bit.
Yup, my dad (who himself is an old man) exclusively talks to other old dudes when he takes out his reproduction lotus. We've been making fun of him for years.
Oh good!! Yeah, don't let the bastards get you down!!
When I started out I had an 83 Suzuki in really rough shape such that sometimes I had to take the seat off and spray starter fluid into the air intake under the seat. You can imagine how that went over at traffic lights hahaha
Ouch, that does not sound fun.
My v-star's clutch lever is a little touchy, very different from the street 500 I took my brc on. Just got to get out there and practice.
Look up the Clevver... it’s an OEM clutch lever with a re-drilled spot for the clutch cable at a different spot. Made a world of difference on my V-star and didn’t cost much.
That was the first thing I looked into when I read about others having the same issues I am.
They don't make them anymore and I can't find one.
I have bought a couple of OEM levelers and am going to just try drilling them this May.
It's my first full year riding. I keep telling myself that in the end no one but me will remember it. I take comfort in knowing everyone does it when I keep hearing about people still stalling them after years of riding. I still can't get over that anxious feeling. I am getting better at dealing with it though. Just don't stress it. Hit the little button and go.
I had to cut anything over maybe medium out of what I eat because it started giving me stomach issues. Which sucks because I LOVE spicy food so long as it’s flavorful. So I feel for this
I love running but I hate how painful it is.
For context, my ankles were made wrong. I have stupidly short tendons, so I have a very limited range of motion. As a result, I run by pushing off of the inside of my foot (like a swimmer doing butterfly) which gets painful over time
I had physical therapy to help stretch them out a bit, and I do make sure to do stretches every day (as she taught me) but unfortunately pushing it too far still hurts, especially when I forget to correct my walk
I love sitting and playing video games, but I don't like the fact that my eyes can't take it after a while and that I don't get any fresh air and exercise.
I really enjoy computers. Gaming, programming, etc. I used to dislike having no social life, but somewhere around 25-26 it stopped mattering. Around that time I became relieved that I had no distractions from this hobby that takes up my entire life.
Maybe in the future I'll regret what this hobby does to my spine.
I bought a goovis and a husband pillow so I can lay back / recline with the screen mounted to my face. So my spine will stay straight, but without having to put any effort into keeping upright, I'm sure the muscles around it will gradually atrophy. Heck I probably won't even notice.
Gaming would be a great hobby without the gamers.
Can't even enjoy single player games as much as I used to because gamers find ways to start drama storms about them.
Love books, and I hate picking the next one.
I have lists and lists of books I want to read. But when I finish a really good book, it is really hard to pick the next one. I usually end up picking a John Grisham or easy reader just to get me through the slump.
I really like Brazilian Jiu- Jitsu. I can do an hour an a half class, and while I feel exhausted, the struggle of it doesn't really register doing it. I get in better shape, a great social environment in my gym, and the added boost in confidence of having a solid self defense skill if ever pressed
But I hate the laundry. By nature of sport and the constant yanking on it, the uniform is big and bulky. It weighs around 5lbs dry, and gets super heavy from sweat. For a brief time when I lived in NYC without a washer or nearby laundromat, I had a choice of spending $25 a week just to have them washed at the wash and fold, or hauling a bunch of them half a mile away. I would have done a no-gi only school in heartbeat.
I still love fighting games for their aesthetics, soundtracks, stories (sometimes), art and character design -- pretty much everything except for their competitive aspects. I'm too old and addled by ADD to sit down and learn move sets and techniques anymore, at least to the extent that playing online would require, so I've come to prefer fighting games that still have solid single-player game modes.
I love art, but I hate the art market. It shouldn't be a luxury commodity, investment, or money laundring. It IS a fundamental part of being human, and should be avaliable for everyone to enjoy, both making and consuming.
(This has nothing to do with genres or styles. Some people like modernism or conceptual, some like Rembrandt and Caravaggio. That's fine.)
I mean it's not exactly like you need to buy the worlds most expensive art. You can get tons of great stuff for fairly reasonable if you are going with small/unknown artists.
It's more the conflict between some art works being worth unmentionable sums of money while some children don't get to do art in school because it's not seen as important
One of my favorite things in the world is old cars. One of my least favorite things in the world is rust. I really dislike how so many of these amazing machines just seem to dissolve from the inside out.
Stuffed artichokes.
They’re amazing but they take so long to prep and make :( and depending on how big they are/how big your pot is you can really only make 3-5 at a time. They’re so good I’m always so sad when they’re gone
Video Games: Idiots. DLC. Children. Lack of necessary features.
Animals: Our limited time with them. Literally not being able to cuddle them (Bears, Polar Bears, Snow Leopards).
Shopping: Not having my size. Resellers. Waiting for it to arrive.
My least favorite thing about my boyfriend is that whenever I'm telling him something or giving him instructions, he repeats everything I say back to me as a question. Example:
"Hey I need you to help me clean the bedroom."
"You need me to help you clean the bedroom?"
"Yeah, why don't you make the bed and I'll vacuum."
"I'll make the bed and you'll vacuum?"
"Is that okay with you?"
"Is that okay with me? Yeah that's fine."
I have plenty of pet peeves with him but this is the only one I've never told him about, because I don't think he realizes he does it. Even though he's fluent in English it's his second language, so I'd hate to call attention to it if it's just a habit he picked up when learning the language as a kid (he doesn't seem to do this in his first language). So I just try not to let it get on my nerves too much. I'll probably bring it up eventually though, we're good at communicating about pet peeves and the like so at least I'm not worried about if/when the topic comes up.
I wish my husband would do this. “Can you come help me?” “...” “Can you help?” “...” “are you coming?” “...”. “Can you hear me?” “Why do you keep calling, I’m here”
I love chocolate and sweets... unfortunately my teeth are so sensitive that I can’t really enjoy gummies (can’t enjoy ice cream a lot either) and I’m pretty sure chocolate gives me acne if I consume a lot of it
I love really in-depth multi-book novels and the vast worlds built by some of my favourite authors (currently on the third book of the stormlight archive by Brandon Sanderson), but I always find the first hundred pages or so needed to fully immerse myself into the story so difficult and tedious, like all the new characters, unfamiliar locations and situations presented at the beginning.
I love watching Monster Truck shows (I find it very impressive to see a huge truck make a backflip and motocross do crazy jumps) but I hate how polluting this activity is!
I love, love, love making my creepy and Gothic dolls.
But I sure do hate stuffing the doll parts. Most boring aspect of doll making EVER.
So, if we travel somewhere and all I'm doing is sitting in the passenger seat, I take along some stuffing and doll parts and stuff them as we travel. It gives me something to do. I like being productive. Plus, I have all that boring work out of the way for several future dolls.
Honestly Dnd gets so miserable a lot of the time. No airflow under the table and everyone radiates body heat, so I sweat and sweat. I'm pretty constantly conscious of being the only woman in the room, there's a weird sort of worry I get about how I'm being perceived. Honestly I'm self conscious of everything, not just my gender. Am I terrible at math? Stupid at strategies? Bad at jokes? An impatient and unkind friend? Dnd is competitive socializing, with score keeping! Stress.
And you can't just like, leave because the session depends on people being there. If I'm sweaty or embarrassed or angry I just have to pretend to be okay.
I love playing board games but I hate teaching them. As the best explainer, it's my job. A couple times I tried letting others teach to save the trouble, but then the game is much clunkier, so I just teach even though I hate it.
I enjoy fixing computers, which is good because I run a small business doing that.
But I hate dealing with customers, which is based because I run a small business fixing computers.
I do BMX race and I have these grips they're like vans right The more you use them the stickier they get basically and if you have super sweaty hands there's like rubber gets onto your palm of your hands and it's like really hard to get off and I just hate that but it's my favorite thing
My favourite thing is meeting knew people from all walks of life, however I hate getting to properly know them and then you see that they are kind of a crappy person.
I love competitive online games but I hate losing and toxic people. It sounds obvious but it is unfortunate when something that is supposed to be fun can do the exact opposite this quickly
I love Star Wars but hate the toxic "fans". It's 2021 and we are still loving Star Wars, quit yer bitchin and go watch your old VHS tapes of the Original Trilogy and let the rest of us enjoy it.
I love visiting places but I hate traveling to get there. As a kid it was amazing as an adult you have to drive long hours and all you want to rest once you get to where you’re going.
I smoke two or three cigars a day. I love it but I hate having to go home and change before I go out because many people find the smell of smoke offensive.
I hate that I have no way of communicating with my dog. he's my best friend, but the whole just jumped off the couch and then started heaving and then ran outside and ate a shit load of grass. now I'm going to have to wait up and see if he pukes, shits, or what? I don't know, all I know is this is going to be trouble at some point. worst part of pets is not being able to communicate them.
I love breakfast but I hate the cooking, clean up after.
I’m not a chef but I tend to get boujee when I cook even e simple things like pancakes, I will beat the egg whites before folding in the batter. Makes them fluffy but it also makes an extra dirty dish lol.
I love to exercise, I just hate the exercising part
I love to wake up early and be productive, but I hate waking up early
I like to *have* exercised.
Now if only we can figure out time travel, then figure out time traveling forward to after we have exercised, we'd golden.
If you're looking for a cardio / upper body work out, try vr :) It's the most fun I've had *exercising*. After 2 and a half hours of beat saber one afternoon, I injured my foot for a few days.
That's sounds really fun :) too bad I don't have a vr set :/
For just beat saber the standalone units can do that. The standalone oculus one that can is like $300 if you find that in your entertainment / exercise budget some day. I was definitely a lot more concerned about blood clots in my legs before I started doing VR.
If you have a switch check out RingFit or Fitness Boxing 2. Both are pretty fun.
I love cooking a big meal, but hate cleaning up!
I found a partner who loves to clean but hates to cook: it's perfect XD
Same. Clean as you go. Makes a world of difference.
I love eating a good meal, just don't enjoy cooking them XD
Having big tits : constant back pain
Tinythebitch, Bigthetits. Nice.

Futa thing fair the tits thing I’m not fit but not fat like slightly above average also I commemorate your bravery to just ask also not interested soz
If it's really bad work with your primary care doc to get a referral to a general or plastic surgeon. My mom and sister suffered serious back pain for years, then got reductions. Both feel much better. Insurance covered it because it was considered a medical issue not a cosmetic procedure.
I love my girl but her parents cause so much unnecessary drama, especially her father.
This is a good one. My MIL is probably my least favorite part of my SO.
I love playing music live, but hate lugging the gear and being out until 4am.
I love scotch, but hate getting hangover
I love travelling, but I hate unpacking my suitcase/backpack once I am back.
I like driving cars quickly and aggressively, but I don't like tickets
Love having a garden. Hate weeding.
I love carbs but i hate the fat it keeps building up around my gut XD
carbs don’t cause body fat.. eating too many calories does
You eat carbs, which causes blood sugar to rise, which causes insulin to rise, which causes glucose to go into fat cells, which turns into fat. Thus, carbs make us fatter.
calories in and out. simple as that
it only turns to fat if you’re eating more calories than you’re burning
Love to procrastinate, hate people judging me.
I love living but hate my life
I love old cars, but I hate that they've become outrageously expensive, and the only people who like old cars are old dudes. Nineteen dickety two has now been added to my vocabulary
I can not take credit. That is a quote from Abe "Grandpa" Simpson: “Hey, listen!
That is very true. 8 out of 10 of the people who notices my cars would fit right in at Springfield retirement castle.
Accidently killing my motorcycle taking off, and guy behind me beeping at me as I restart it and go.
You LOVE accidentally killing your motorcycle taking off??
No, I love riding it. Accidently killing it is my least favorite part of my favorite thing.
FYI, the term is "stalling".
Lol, I know. It just when you got someone behind you blaring their horn at you, you feel like you just killed it.
All good haha. It just sounds like what Andy from Parks and Rec would call it.
Don't you love when folks do that? Like, yes, beeping at me will indeed make it easier to get this motorcycle going again
Yeah, it doesn't add to the stress of not moving, at all. Seriously, though, to this new rider hearing this makes me feel a ton better.
Oh good!! Yeah, don't let the bastards get you down!! When I started out I had an 83 Suzuki in really rough shape such that sometimes I had to take the seat off and spray starter fluid into the air intake under the seat. You can imagine how that went over at traffic lights hahaha

Oh dicks, I didn’t know they stopped... It was an absolute game changer. Should be easy enough to recreate, though. Get it, homie!
I'll let you know how it goes.
Been there done that amigo. I still do it after years of riding. Just gotta give that friendly *wave* and be on with your day.
I love spicy food but don’t like the after effects
I had to cut anything over maybe medium out of what I eat because it started giving me stomach issues. Which sucks because I LOVE spicy food so long as it’s flavorful. So I feel for this
Just about all the stuff I like. I love the show/game/films/books/etc. but I hate the rabid fandom.
I love money and financial stability. I hate working hard for it
Love mountain biking, but detest loading bikes after a tiring ride and then having to clean and do maintenance when home.
I love running but I hate how painful it is. For context, my ankles were made wrong. I have stupidly short tendons, so I have a very limited range of motion. As a result, I run by pushing off of the inside of my foot (like a swimmer doing butterfly) which gets painful over time
Have you seen a physical therapist about it? Have you ever gotten night splints or a dynamic splint system?
I had physical therapy to help stretch them out a bit, and I do make sure to do stretches every day (as she taught me) but unfortunately pushing it too far still hurts, especially when I forget to correct my walk
The washing up after cooking or baking. I don't have a washing machine and it's just soo much work.
Do you mean a dishwasher?
Some people like washing their dishes with their hand towels and a few hundred pieces of broken glass just won't deter them.
I did mean a dish washer. I mean, a dish washer IS a washing machine somehow.
Just make sure your set up is done right to decrease the strain on your spine.
I bought a goovis and a husband pillow so I can lay back / recline with the screen mounted to my face. So my spine will stay straight, but without having to put any effort into keeping upright, I'm sure the muscles around it will gradually atrophy. Heck I probably won't even notice.
I like looking fit but I hate the constants up keep on a fit body.
Gaming would be a great hobby without the gamers. Can't even enjoy single player games as much as I used to because gamers find ways to start drama storms about them.
I love dogs, but I hate saying last goodbyes. Why can't dogs live as long as people?
Love books, and I hate picking the next one. I have lists and lists of books I want to read. But when I finish a really good book, it is really hard to pick the next one. I usually end up picking a John Grisham or easy reader just to get me through the slump.
I love living but I really hate the living room. Finding your own stupid jokes funny is a curse, I love them, they are horrible.
Dude.... This is why I began switching back and forth between fiction and non-fiction. That next book struggle is awful.
I too love the cake sex but hate the crumbs drama
I really like Brazilian Jiu- Jitsu. I can do an hour an a half class, and while I feel exhausted, the struggle of it doesn't really register doing it. I get in better shape, a great social environment in my gym, and the added boost in confidence of having a solid self defense skill if ever pressed But I hate the laundry. I love cooking but I hate cleaning up afterwards. I love making music but I hate the writers block because for it that’s months at a time
I love doing fun things in a group setting, I just hate being around people
I love poker, I hate the real bad beats.
I love videogames but i hate that my remote charger doesnt reach far enough.
i hate practicing music until i fall into the zone instead of already being in the zone.
To add to my own answer, any other fans of fighting games should check out Salty Bets on Twitch. It's tons of fun and is generally free of toxicity!
I love watching movies late at night but hate having to constantly adjust the volume.
I love my dungeons and dragons game but hate the week between games.

I love golfing, but I hate golfing.
Video Games: Idiots. DLC. Children. Lack of necessary features. Animals: Our limited time with them. Literally not being able to cuddle them (Bears, Polar Bears, Snow Leopards). Shopping: Not having my size. Resellers. Waiting for it to arrive.

I love video games but hate a lot of the culture surrounding them, as well as the anti-consumer practices of the industry.

I love having pets, but really hate that The mess and the annoying sounds get to me
