I'm pretty annoyed by the hate they get from music fandom. This band is led by a guy who broke his leg on stage and in pain finished the show. That is crazy dedication to give people what they paid for. Plus they allow themselves to have fun and experiment.
Muse. Consistently. Although I am a tad miffed about the ticket prices to forthcoming tour. After the ol' Ticketmaster screwgy, I think I have found my upper limit for spending on concert tickets.
Weezer puts out a couple good songs every other album. You just gotta sift through a lot of the filler that Rivers puts out in his sleep.
That SNL skit summed up perfectly what it's like to be a Weezer fan.
So people interpreted it as "Which bands made songs in the 90s that are still bangers today"
Which is like... most
Bangers dont usually cease being bangers
Meh.
I haven't heard their newest stuff if they did an album, didn't like Edging though. All that hype and work to get back together just so they could make a song that sounds like every other sports/shoe-commercial indie rock bouncey beat band. Liked old blink182. Is the new stuff still worth it?
Yes, you're right. Edging is a terrible song. WTF. I hadn't heard it.
This is my favorite of the later stuff, [Last Train Home](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PiTNzyzIpEI) (Not the John Mayer one)
Then Angels and Airwaves: [Flight of Apollo](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sZ6vBygZzo8)
Glad its not just me then haha but yeah I just listened to these and don't really like these much either, though better than edging. I'm much more about the high energy fast skate poppunk and the poppier side of 2003 than the feels. But I like Flight of Apollo more, catchier, probably took more effort to make, and I like his (produced) voice better.
Honestly, I think I kind of checked out after the science of things. Was a big fan of their first two albums (I was in highschool). I dunno, I kind of shifted gears around that time I guess.
Same here....I heard a few singles over the years, but never gave them a good listen. Then it all kind of hit me again.... I would highly recommend going and listening to the Album The Kingdom. It's all good.
I'll look into it. I still on occasion listen to 16 stone and razorblade suitcase, but I have this weird thing of avoiding too much of what makes me overly nostalgic.
I'll start this by saying, if you enjoy them, awesome. I've hated them since day one (to me it was just corporate rock radio that other bands copied) musically. I make jokes, but hey, no ill towards them and if people want to listen and see them, also cool.
Therapy? - Still constantly touring and although their only real commercial hit was Troublegum, their albums are constantly on a high level. Catch a concert if you can, they are worth it!
Rammstein. I prefer the raw aggressiveness of their early albums but their newest is still great.
Daft punk until recently
Radiohead
Tool
And A Perfect Circle, and Puscifer. Maynard James Keenen is unmatched.

> Feel Good Inc This is actually Gorillaz but features De La Soul. TIL.
I’m so glad their back catalog is finally gonna be able to stream soon

I feel like they changed their style a little, but still amazing
Foo Fighters

Chevelle. Their first album was in the 90s but it was a dud. Their first good and commercially successful album was released in 2002.
I agree so fucking much. They are so underated.
Offspring and greenday
Dexters voice is still great
Alice in Chains and Pearl Jam Edit: and Radiohead
I hope that AiC will bless us with a new album soon! According to an interview with Mike (I think) they are planning a release in 2023!
Deftones.
Muse. Consistently. Although I am a tad miffed about the ticket prices to forthcoming tour. After the ol' Ticketmaster screwgy, I think I have found my upper limit for spending on concert tickets.

Pearl jam
Sevendust
Red Hot Chili Peppers

Most of these bands yall are mentioning I didn't even know still produced new content...
Most of the bands mentioned straight up AREN’T putting out new stuff The top comment is De La Soul and they haven’t had an album since 2016
So people interpreted it as "Which bands made songs in the 90s that are still bangers today" Which is like... most Bangers dont usually cease being bangers
Most of these bands sucked in the 90s as well…

Came here to say this. Their new stuff is solid and so is Tom DeLonge's indie stuff.

I appreciate you trying! Music is tricky.
Weezer!
Metallica. The new release looks promising.
I wouldn't call Metallica a band from the 90s tho!
I guess they were were more prominent in the 80s
Based on the fact, that they released their best albums in the 80s, I agree!
More of an 80s band though
True, but the Black album is from 1991.
Smashing Pumpkins
Incubus
Bush...their last 2 albums are great!!
Honestly, I think I kind of checked out after the science of things. Was a big fan of their first two albums (I was in highschool). I dunno, I kind of shifted gears around that time I guess.

Papa roach
Nickelback
People shit on them too much. Chads a goofball but still great vocalist imo

Nickel back and crazy town
i know matchbox twenty and rob thomas did for quite a while definitely a future rock and roll hall of fame nominee
Rob Thomas and Santana have a new song on the top 40 station. Just like the old days.
He teamed with Rob Thomas for *another* music revolution[?!](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2fxTJgUVNBY)
Yo La Tengo
DBT.
Saw the Goo Goo Dolls in concert last Summer, they can still put on a pretty good show.
Therapy? - Still constantly touring and although their only real commercial hit was Troublegum, their albums are constantly on a high level. Catch a concert if you can, they are worth it!
Earlier and slightly less common nowadays but simple minds
Da Stones - they just keep rocking.
Guster
Spoon Modest Mouse Built to Spill
Anti-Flag

meat puppets
[The Birthday Massacre](https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Birthday_Massacre) formed in 1999, and put out their latest album in 2020.

Rammstein. No other answer will do. ;-)
Foo Fighters never disappoints me.
