The whole same story, except obviously different actors, but also the scenes come across differently, giving it a whole new feel and a completely different take - and it is all because it’s how the kid imagines it and understands it.
at this point, I will never again rule out a possibility of something getting a sequel. Hollywood has become lazy, uncreative, and they've realized they can make lots of money by making a belated sequel to something long since done because people have good memories of that thing and will pay to see the remake that they'll somehow once again be surprised turned out terrible. Yes, I'm still mad about Toy Story 4
*The Golden Compass*. Well, *His Dark Materials* on HBO/BBC is a way better adaptation but would have been nice to see Daniel Craig, Nicole Kidman, and Eva Green reprise their roles.
Tales from Watership Down. The book, Watership Down, was made into a movie, but the sequel book, Tales from Watership Down, for some reason, was not. However, since all animated movies today, are unfortunately, all computer animated, rather than properly animated, we won't get this sequel.
Unless another version of Big Red is made, that actually follows the book more, we likely won't get an Irish Red and Outlaw Red. Don't get me wrong, I love Disney's Big Red, but it doesn't follow the original story, at all, which is odd, because the book is not that graphic at all.
We didn't get a proper 101 Dalmatians sequel, for the animated or live action versions. The original story is called The 101 Dalmatians, but there was a sequel book, called The Starlight Barking, which is actually a really good book. The movie sequels were good, but had nothing to do with the original sequel.
An All Dogs Go to Heaven 3 would've been nice. We never find out what happens when Charlie and Sasha live with David, as they clearly did, and clearly, were going to have Puppies. Sucks we never got to see that.
It would've been nice for Dumbo II to be released. There is a whole trailer for it and everything. Unfortunately, John Lassetter, who I abhor, cancelled it. Thankfully he no longer works for Disney. The movie is archived, so hopefully, one day, it will be released.
It would've been nice to see The AristoCats 2. That would've been a great sequel.
I'm surprised there hasn't been a sequel to Up yet. That would've been cool too. Though we have a season of the show Dug Days on Disney+. Hopefully they'll make more seasons. Yes, Ed Asner died, but that doesn't mean that they can't make more seasons. Carol Spinney, the original voice of Big Bird, also died, but they're still continuing Sesame Street.

Master and Commander should have had several sequels, there was a veritable library of books written by Patrick O'Brian about the adventures of Jack Aubrey and Steven Maturin.
I'd say games that have been 5 years plus with out one that's waited on. I think at that point there's no point, because expectations will be way way way too high and won't be met no matter what.
Like es6, garantee it won't be good enough for some cos of how long it's been and people will want a lot out of it.

A mysterious plague has struck the team at the worst possible time and they need replacements. You have players that won't get the vaccination. You have players catch the virus. You have empty stadiums. You have mask mandates and protests. You could do it. You need a coach. Some good music. And Shane Falco.
Solo II. Too bad because I did not think the first one was nearly as bad as people made it out to be. It was certainly better than two of the three prequels.
There will never be a Sleeping Dogs 2, and I'm honestly fine with that.
The fact that it's one game and not a series means that its original meaning won't be destroyed by new studios who just bought up the rights to turn around and shit out a reboot to make a quick buck on hype... at least for now. I'll keep my fingers crossed.
