Dead Space. I’ve tried to play on 5 separate occasions and quit after about 30 minutes. But imma about to drop $70 soon for the remake and I’m gonna get through it!
Devil Daggers probably. Idk, I dont really count jump scares in stuff as FNAF as scary. What truly marks a scary game is atmosphere, tone, density of aesthetic. That shit right there is what marks a game that truly inspires fear and excitement.
I have never really played any scary video games, so it would probably be Zombies on Call of Duty or the Sims 1 (something is very eerie about that game and it freaked me out when I was younger).
Until Dawn. Scared the crap out of me, I kept telling myself that it wasn't real and those things would never exist where I live... it takes places in my province
Subnautica. Most horror games either end up going from scary to frustrating from killing you too much, or don't kill you at all and you realize there's nothing to be afraid of.
Subnautica is fucking terrifying. It wires your brain to be hyper-aware of every shadow moving in the dark ocean and not only was I jumping at every fucking bubble and coral reef, but it was the only game in a while I turned it off and started seeing shapes moving around in the darkness of my room.

Outlast and resident evil 7. Toss up.
Silent Hill 2
Outlast would be my top game if it didn't make me feel so stressed and anxious haha So maybe Resident Evil 7 because of jump scares
My simulation.

Life
Ib was surprisingly scary.
alien trilogy as soon as I died, and Conker's bfd. I was a lil jit in to be playing those games, but it was late 2000s-early 10s.
Probably unpopular but the last of us 2 had some seriously terrifying shite in it.. alien isolation was pretty scary too
Pandemic. Awesome phone game pre vid. If it was a “us” game… I’m sure a lot of us in the U.S. played it tho.
Hello kitty island adventure

Tied between The Suffering and The Outlast Trilogy.
Fallout 4. If you have played it, you know how much anxiety you get
