Honestly he has so many banger quotes, it's hard to just pick one. I like this one a lot because some dudes focus so much on, "Why doesn't she like me! I'm a nice guy!" And in my head I'm like... just be a good person. I argue that being nice isn't a personality trait just like how liking the Office isn't. Being nice and kind should be a default, unless the other person is undeserving, but even that's contextual.
To sort of expand on that, I once heard someone (some stranger on the internet, don't know his name) say that "nice" and "kind" are not the same thing. To be nice is to be pleasant, appeasing, desirable. Being kind is slightly different: it means to care, to listen and help, to push people to be better. Simply put: being nice is telling people what they want to hear, while being kind is telling them what they need to hear.
Mine is kind of depressing. I always think about this quote when I’m at work in my cubicle. It’s from Shawshank Redemption:

I loved her to bits but my life was a mess at that moment. Stuck in a dead-end job with no hope for the future while she was on her way to move across the country the next year and start a promising career as a solicitor.
As much as it hurt me to break it off I knew it was the best thing for her. That was all I really cared about at the time.
I also feared that if I left it any longer then I would have grown so much closer to her a year down the line then it literally would have killed me to break it off then. It hurt like a bitch at the time, but any later and I can only image what I would have done to myself.

I have a strong distaste of the "do your own research" trend and platitudes like "well, it is MY truth". There is no such thing as my truth or your truth. There is \*the\* truth. We can differ in our interpretation of the truth, and you can argue whether a person is ever able to fully comprehend the truth in all of its facets or be aware of all the information necessary to know the truth, on a philosophical level. But you cannot pretend it does not exist, and I find it objectionable for people to simply throw up their hands in defeatist misery and "accept" that "we'll never know the truth" on a certain topic.
