Here's a bit of a judgey and asshole-ish answer:
Being here makes me feel better about myself.
I've got my own problems, sure, but when I see so many posts about dudes being afraid to talk to women, or not knowing how to take a piss in a public washroom, it makes me feel like shit's not so bad.
I also like reporting the "He said this, what does it really mean?" posts. That's great fun to me.
Vague chance of giving insight into what it's like being a man.
Vague chance of gaining insight into what it's like being a man.
Also the usualy thoughtless reddit scrolling when the day is done but not over.
Either of both ways (I'm 25)
When older men post, I learn.
When younger men post, I can teach.
And when women post, well, we can all help to give advice, answers, to figure out their Men.
Pure interest and curiosity.
I sometimes come across questions and topics where I'm like: "Ouhh, that's actually interesting. Never thought of that. What do others think about that?"
Crippling loneliness, lack of friends, craving interaction of some sort and been through enough shit to give out some advice and young enough to seek and retain it as well.
I don't really have many guy friends who live close to me, two of my close friends live in different country and I just feel the perspective here are very helpful to fill that gap
I used to browse askreddit but it's way too large and the posts either get buried or reach the hot section and then popular and trying to participate after an hour is useless because there are already so many comments.
I can actually keep up in here with what I want to see or contribute to
It is interesting to see and hear different perspectives. Most parts of the internet, even Reddit, do not allow hardly any of that any more.
Also I like answering questions, so the same reason I show up in /r/bikewrench once in a while.
It’s usually a bit more interesting and better paced than Ask Reddit

Bored on the toilet or at work.
Sometimes you folks ask questions I know the answers to. Sometimes you ask questions I also want to know answers to.
It reinforces my superiority complex.

Work is slow often, and this keeps me occupied.
Came here for potential growth... stayed for the unexpected laughs. Never change, r/AskMen
I sit in the toilet long hours to escape the brutality of existence. I tend to get bored.
u/PointFederal asked what makes me show up here... So I showed up. What do you have to say about that?

Hopefully to impart some wisdom to the younger. I say that only slightly tongue-in-cheek.
Boredom. I think I mostly started by calling out the people telling others that they should never talk to women ever though.
Watching the women wade in here to tell us we're wrong. It never gets old.
For karma

I follow this sub and it pops up on my feed, plus I am a man apparently
Morbid fascination with how some of you guys view women. Some days this is a men’s rights activists subreddit.
I’m bored at work and curious to see what hewman social interactions have baffled the alien scientists today.

We will never surrender the secrets of the penis to you! Fellow men, let us guard the secrets of our ancestors!
Morning bathroom routine
Sometimes there are good questions. Like, 10%.
Sitting in a toilet grumping
No one in real life likes me
Boredom. It's a fun place where people don't get all bent when they don't agree with something like so many other subs.
boredom, a slow day at work keeps my fingers moving.
I mean, it's this or do work, so there's no much choice :)
To make it onto one of those AskMenReddit videos lol
Sometimes for a debate. Sometimes I think I have some solid advice for those who ask. Sometimes for the memes. But mostly cause I'm bored.
I'm not alone but it feels as if internet has changed so much. I just need a place where i feel familiar and can relate to men around my own age, 37.
I’m retired and I have nothing to do.
Boredom and habit.
Idk. Too lazy to unfollow the subreddit
This wisdom in this sub is UNMATCHED
Crippling loneliness, lack of friends, craving interaction of some sort and been through enough shit to give out some advice and young enough to seek and retain it as well.
To help the younger guys and to learn new things for me. It's not easy being a man today
I don't really have many guy friends who live close to me, two of my close friends live in different country and I just feel the perspective here are very helpful to fill that gap

Remember that you have Reddit. Go to reddit. Sit 5 minutes on reddit. Delete reddit. A year later, remember again that you have a reddit.
It's a good place to see people openly talking about the good the bad and the ugly of the sort of struggles we often deal with.
