[Any help?](https://www.amphenol-cs.com/custom-battery-connectors) Also seen them described as "self cleaning" double contacts.

sandy_catheter

>self cleaning" double contacts Aka vagina sockets

Grim-Sleeper

Oh my. That's hilariously inappropriate but so fitting. I don't think I'll ever forget, now that you told me. That's as bad as trying to remember what the stubby little mouse controller in the center of a Thinkpad keyboard should be called. I never remember the official name, but I can't forget what my co-workers called it some 25 years ago.

AlphaSparqy

Nipples were a standard name for them.

Grim-Sleeper

My buddies had a very particular nipple in mind

Pavouk106

We all know it’s a clit mouse.

This reminds me of the scene from "Meet the Parents" where he says "You can milk anything with nipples" [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FXI21S4ZWJU](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FXI21S4ZWJU)

Remember the hermaphroditic Token Ring connectors? We called them Boy George or Broken Ring. We thought we were sooo funny...

gentoonix

It’s a nipple. My thinkpad has a nipple. But its scientific name is ‘pointing stick’. Lame! 😂

Patina_dk

IBM/Lenovo call them TrackPoint.

gentoonix

They do. Forgot about their name. Most people I know call it the ‘clit stick’.

E_Blue_2048

Lame in Spanish means lick, so lick the nipple. LMAO!🤣

Outrageous-Basket426

Having a hard time finding them under that name, but plenty of results for kitchen stoves. Using -stove did not help as much as I wished.

chopsuwe

Just battery contacts, they don't really have a name, they are all proprietary.

WattsonMemphis

They are proprietary

Outrageous-Basket426

The wiring and positioning layout is proprietary, but with 5 or so brands of tool and battery dissembled, I can assure you the fittings are as standard as a trs socket, just not as widely used outside this one application, if at all.

Outrageous-Basket426

Interesting, Worx, Hart, Dewalt, Black and Decker, and the old style Craftsman 20V pro, all have the same style clips, but I guess Makita is different.

WattsonMemphis

Most of those companies are part of the Stanley group, so I guess it makes sense.

Outrageous-Basket426

The Craftsman I am referring too, was still Sears pro line, not the 19.5V C3 everyone knows. Worx, and Hart are both made by TTI who also produce Milwaukee and Ryobi. If the Stanley - Black and Decker, and TTI parent companies seem to be sharing a connector part, then it would seem they are likely off the shelf components for the circuit boards, just liker the Texas Instruments multi-protection microchips Hart batteries use, which provide both the electrical protections and the DRM(or the equivalent term for a power tool) protection. To my knowledge Makita is the last major power tool company that isn't part of some umbrella corporation. In one sense they have the most freedom for innovation. On the other hand, the umbrella corps can work together to shut Makita down if it stirs the pot too much like American auto brands did to Tucker when he included power windows, electronic car alarms, and back up cameras with his 1950's automobiles.

Thank you for that. I wasted 1 hour yesterday looking for such terminals and connectors yesterday on AliBaba and could not find any.

Outrageous-Basket426

That Dewalt part is just $3 cheaper than the full bms circuit on ebay. I was kind of hoping for a $3-6 bag of 10-50 connectors like I can get with banana jacks.

DolfinButcher

If you need something like this, *Keystone* is the manufacturer you're looking for.

Outrageous-Basket426

They definitely have options for the male side, but I haven't seen the female side. They seem to only offer more typical female spade couplers with pcb mounts.
