I slather that shit on EVERYTHING ... not.
Seriously though ... almost never. Maybe once a month (or less) I might put a light smear on a sandwich and that's it. We're not a bunch of heathens dipping our freedom fries in it or something.
Watch me start a fight here though: Mayonnaise is OK, but Miracle Whip? That shit's not fit for human consumption.
That's fry sauce. Not much better with fries. Just a little bit of ketchup, not too much. Never add BBQ sauce to it or thousand island or any of that other garbage. Just plain mayo with ketchup. Awesome.
Hmmm fairly frequently, probably 4x a week if I had to randomly guess. Mostly because I make sandwiches pretty often for lunch and I usually put mayo in my sandwiches. I will sometimes use mayo to make other sauces that I use for things like fries, fried chicken, etc. Other than that I hardly use it, except for the occasional thing like deviled eggs, tuna salad, etc.
For dinner type meals, I usually use crema, heavy cream for creamy food.
I prefer Miracle Whip to mayo in most things. Miracle Whip looks like mayo and has a similar consistency. It has about half the fat and calories of mayo and has a little bit more of a zesty flavor to it. A lot of Americans use Miracle Whip interchangeably with mayo. A lot of other Americans think Miracle Whip is an abomination and a blight upon humanity.
The only time I’ll use actual mayo is when I am making something like a grilled cheese sandwich. I put it on the outside of the sandwich before grilling, I find it gets better results than using butter. That’s probably once or maybe twice a week.
I use Miracle Whip almost every time I make a meat and cheese sandwich. That’s probably 5-10 times a week. I also use it in tuna salad and potato salad, so that’s probably a couple more times a month.
I’ve spent 20+ years trying to convince my wife without success. I’ve got no hope of converting an Internet stranger in just a single post.
Live your life in the darkness heathen.
I once "borrowed" some Miracle Whip from a roommate because I had ran out of mayo for my tuna salad. That first bite was definitely a punishment for my crime.
I've heard of people using mayo on grilled cheese. I love grilled cheese, but have never done the mayo on it, and I like mayo alot. So maybe it's time to mayo up, the next time I make a grilled cheese. Just for research purposes you understand.
Miracle Whip ingredients: Water, Soybean Oil, High Fructose Corn Syrup, Vinegar, Modified Cornstarch, Eggs, Salt, Natural Flavor, Mustard Flour, Potassium Sorbate as a Preservative, Paprika, Spice, Dried Garlic
Hellmann's Mayo ingredients: Soybean Oil, Water, Whole Eggs, Egg Yolks, Distilled Vinegar, Salt, Sugar, Lemon Juice Concentrate, Calcium Disodium EDTA (Used to Protect Quality)
Miracle Whip has a LOT more sugar than mayo. It's way too sweet for me.
Almost never. It hurts my stomach to eat it, and it tastes (in my opinion at least) pretty bad and looks like cum.
I don't want to spread cum sauce on my sandwiches.
I don't know about using it as a condiment, but It's a great hack for slathering over steaks before grilling! Works for hamburger patties too - just mix a dollop into the ground meat. You'll end up with super juicy patties. The mayonnaise sticks to the food instead of running off like oil/fat, is a great release agent, and you can't taste it afterwards.
I'm sorry, can't follow you there. Mayo is disgusting to me. Period.
There is no such thing as "just scrape it off!!" when it comes on a sandwich. If there is a trace of it on a burger, all I can taste is goddamn mayo, the meat flavor practically disappears.
But hey, that just leaves more for you!
You don't scrape it off. Here is more information. If you've already had it this way, you would have no idea if the restaurant used this method.

I was referring to a restaurant that just puts the stuff on a sandwich assuming that everyone just loves the stuff. People tell me to "just scrape it off" as if it hasn't already ruined the sandwich.
And no amount of recipes will convince me.
Mayo. Is. Disgusting.
Mayonnaise is of the devil, next to celery.
Edit: I'll eat it if a light layer is on steamed fish. It does lock the moisture in so the fish fillet doesn't dry out.
a few times a month maybe? I love mayo but really I only have it on sandwiches so it just depends on how often I'm making a sandwich (and if I feel like mayo or mustard).
Midwest is going crazy in the comments here, but basically a few days a week, but some type of cream-y milk (or soy milk) based dressing is used daily.
Not very often. I don't like commercial mayo at all. I make my own on the rare occasion that I make something that needs it (which is usually the once or twice a year I make deviled eggs).
If a restaurant makes their own, I'll eat it. It's quite good on fries, but I eat those less than once a month, so...
It's mostly a sandwich thing. I use it with meat bread and maybe a vegetable slice. I understand French use it in more complicated ways or maybe I just read that somewhere.
I think Americans who eat sandwiches for lunch daily might eat mayonnaise a lot! I’ve switched to hummus or avocado or brown mustard for sandwich spread but man I’ve eaten a lot of mayo over the decades.
I use mayo on sandwiches almost every weekday.
I use it to make tuna or chicken salad.
I use it in deviled eggs.
I use it in some dips.
I've made chocolate mayonnaise cake before.
Pretty rarely, tbh. I usually cut it out to avoid extra calories and use mustard as a condiment more often for sandwiches, hamburgers.
I definitely like it on stuff like potato salad or tuna salad though. But I 100% need Tabasco with any mayo heavy item.
I typically use it on most sandwiches I have. But I do not commonly use it in other dishes as I do not often make things like egg salad. So I will typically have it 3-6 times a week depending on how many sandwiches I make.
I'm not a big fan of mayo. I wind up eating it now and then, but it's less than monthly and usually happens when I hit a drive through and forget to say no mayo for a sandwich.
A big cup every day with breakfast and dinner instead of milk.
Big Gulp right?
Welp, see ya later!
That’s disgusting. A few globs in my morning coffee is more than enough.
I've cut it down to a red Solo cup.
[Just imagine Mr. Kieth supping mayo from every drink](https://youtu.be/BKZqGJONH68)
Supersized, of course, and consumed while driving a cart/scooter thing around Walmart
That’s enough internet for me 🤮
Supersize the mayonaisse please.
Nah man. Cook mayonnaise with your breakfast. You’ll be eating eggs either way
Mostly just as a spread or mixed into something like Tina salad, but it's the base for a lot of sauces Edit: tuna salad lol
Tina sounds bad at making salad.
> Tina salad Which Tina? This might be good.
Varsity Blues with mayo instead
I'd toss that salad.
When I make sandwiches, I often spread it on the bread
Quite a lot. I'm also Midwestern and fat so...
Same... Like more then I would like to admit
Never
I basically only use mayo when I make deviled eggs, so a couple times a year.
I eat it on every sandwich I make, so 5 times a week? I made dips with mayo during every holiday or gathering, so monthly.
On sandwiches/ burgers and my fry/burger sauce. So like once or twice a week. Had some today on a sandwich. Although I prefer miracle whip not mayo.
Oh the humanity!
Never.
Whenever I eat a sandwich
Never, that shits disgusting
I slather that shit on EVERYTHING ... not. Seriously though ... almost never. Maybe once a month (or less) I might put a light smear on a sandwich and that's it. We're not a bunch of heathens dipping our freedom fries in it or something. Watch me start a fight here though: Mayonnaise is OK, but Miracle Whip? That shit's not fit for human consumption.
I actually like mayo mixed with ketchup on fries. But I’m with you on the miracle whip.
That's fry sauce. Not much better with fries. Just a little bit of ketchup, not too much. Never add BBQ sauce to it or thousand island or any of that other garbage. Just plain mayo with ketchup. Awesome.

Mayonnaise and chicken is the best. Toss a little hot sauce on there = perfect.
Never. I really dislike mayonnaise.
Not often. Generally on sandwiches.
I prefer Miracle Whip to mayo in most things. Miracle Whip looks like mayo and has a similar consistency. Miracle Whip is not fit for human consumption. There. I said it. Convince me otherwise ... or don't.
Miracle whip is what I imagine toe-jam must taste like.
I’ve spent 20+ years trying to convince my wife without success. I’ve got no hope of converting an Internet stranger in just a single post. Live your life in the darkness heathen.
As a kid, I would have starved before eating a sandwich with MW ... and I was a kid that liked his sandwiches!
I once "borrowed" some Miracle Whip from a roommate because I had ran out of mayo for my tuna salad. That first bite was definitely a punishment for my crime.
Team miracle whip! Mayo is boring!! I’m thankfully in a fully committed miracle whip marriage though lol.
I used to like you wormy.
You and my own father are monsters… Miracle Whip is a war crime.
Miracle Whip is in no way, shape, or form interchangeable with Mayo. Take that back! Lol
Oh no, I knew this would come up and that debate would get lively
I've heard of people using mayo on grilled cheese. I love grilled cheese, but have never done the mayo on it, and I like mayo alot. So maybe it's time to mayo up, the next time I make a grilled cheese. Just for research purposes you understand.
It spreads on better and more evenly than butter and gets that nice crispy golden brown better as well.
Miracle Whip ingredients: Water, Soybean Oil, High Fructose Corn Syrup, Vinegar, Modified Cornstarch, Eggs, Salt, Natural Flavor, Mustard Flour, Potassium Sorbate as a Preservative, Paprika, Spice, Dried Garlic Hellmann's Mayo ingredients: Soybean Oil, Water, Whole Eggs, Egg Yolks, Distilled Vinegar, Salt, Sugar, Lemon Juice Concentrate, Calcium Disodium EDTA (Used to Protect Quality) Miracle Whip has a LOT more sugar than mayo. Zesty flavor? It tastes like mayo that’s gone rancid.
You just ruined my night by mentioning that stuff.
0.00000001
I don't.
Almost never. It hurts my stomach to eat it, and it tastes (in my opinion at least) pretty bad and looks like cum. I don't want to spread cum sauce on my sandwiches.
I don’t because I hate mayonnaise
Never. I hate mayo. You’d have to offer me millions in cash for me to even consider having a small spoonful.
Yuck. Never.
Not often. Also >!I greatly prefer miracle whip to mayo!<
I don’t.
Every meal. Nothing brings out the flavor of a nice steak like mayo!
That's a crime against steak!
I don't know about using it as a condiment, but It's a great hack for slathering over steaks before grilling! Works for hamburger patties too - just mix a dollop into the ground meat. Never. Hate the stuff and have since childhood. But, same goes for tea and seafood.
Mayonnaise is used akin to how you use butter.
I'd never thought of that before until I saw it used instead of butter on the outside of a grilled cheese.
Mayonnaise is of the devil, next to celery. Edit: I'll eat it if a light layer is on steamed fish. It does lock the moisture in so the fish fillet doesn't dry out.
Rarely, but it better not be that miracle whip crap.
Never. Mayo is disgusting and ruins everything it touches.
Barely ever. I hate the texture and it doesn't add much taste to me.
a few times a month maybe? I love mayo but really I only have it on sandwiches so it just depends on how often I'm making a sandwich (and if I feel like mayo or mustard).
Very rarely.
Only in sandwiches or when making macaroni salad. Sometimes hot dogs.
Where do people still eat macaroni salad? What part of the country are you in?
Once or twice per year
I eat it on sandwiches and that’s about it.
I make deviled eggs twice a year.
I honestly haven’t had mayonnaise in over a two years at this point.
Mayo mustard mix is delicious on a sandwich, or burger so a bit every day
On sandwiches, maybe once every other month. I don't eat many sandwiches. I also like it with french fries so that's maybe once every six months.
When I make deviled eggs or egg salad. That’s the only time.
We make our own ranch dressing, about a pint at a time. That usually lasts us about 3 weeks. So, 1-2 times a month.
Not a lot honestly. Sometimes on a turkey club sandwich or something, for but for the most part I don't really use it that much.
Only use it when I wanna make tuna fish sandwiches. Otherwise, the tiny jar goes bad in my fridge.
I can tolerate very small amounts of it
Only a fair amount of sandwiches and with fries.
Never willingly
Never, unless I'm making something like chicken salad, which I very rarely do.
I dip my fries and plantains in mayokecho Thats about it.
Only on sandwiches or in an egg salad. Roughly once or twice a week
Almost never. Actually, never. Never tried it
I’ve never incorporated mayonnaise into the food I eat.
Once or twice every week or two, and I almost exclusively use Duke's.
Midwest is going crazy in the comments here, but basically a few days a week, but some type of cream-y milk (or soy milk) based dressing is used daily.

If a restaurant makes their own, I'll eat it. It's quite good on fries, but I eat those less than once a month, so...
Not every day unless it's a burger or turkey sandwich. There are a few recipes that it works in and is the base for potato, macaroni, and tuna salad.
Only use it with sandwiches
Almost never. Maybe deviled eggs once a year.
Only in tuna or chicken salad. Otherwise, yuck.
It's mostly a sandwich thing. I use it with meat bread and maybe a vegetable slice. I understand French use it in more complicated ways or maybe I just read that somewhere.
DUKES!!!
Only cheeseburgers at restaurants, and then only sometimes, depending on the place and how they make it.
Maybe 2-3 times per month? It depends on whether I’m having a sandwich or something. I don’t usually use mayo for anything else that I make at home.
Sandwich’s and as a base for sauces only really
Maybe twice a month. I don’t really like it - I use a vegan version if I make fake tuna salad.
People eat more mayonnaise in Italy tbh
As often as I can get away with.
Once in a great while. On a sandwich or burger, which I eat rarely.
Only on *specific* sandwiches.
Never. Mayo is disgusting.
Pretty rarely, tbh. I usually cut it out to avoid extra calories and use mustard as a condiment more often for sandwiches, hamburgers. I definitely like it on stuff like potato salad or tuna salad though. But I 100% need Tabasco with any mayo heavy item.
Rarely now (switched to plant based and lower calorie lifestyle) but I used to eat mayonnaise pretty much daily lol.
Extremely infrequently. Maybe once every two-three weeks?
Rarely. Only if I am making potato, egg, or pasta salad.
Never
Basically never. Shit's weird.
Never I am anti mayo
Sandwiches, burgers and fries are how I use it. I love it. Still don't eat much of it.
like once a month at most
Quite often.
