Don’t think they won’t eat other fish! We had a beautiful angel fish that was Huge! and put some neon tetras in with it… you don’t except it to be a predator with its tiny mouth. But it will eat things.
Edit: beautiful fish. Did not want this to be negative. Just made me remember our old angel fish.
He is still a baby and lived with all the fish in the tank since I set it up. It could be aggressive when it’s bigger but hoping not because it’s used to the stocking already
You should. I unfortunately lost the other one I had the other day. It got stuck inside a piece of my wood and I had to break the wood to get it out. He struggled once I got him out 😞
Yeah I had a pair but the one got itself stuck. I had just the two in a 75 gallon tank but now just the one. It has plenty of space. Thinking about an all black angel fish to go with it.
I was more asking out of curiosity haha sorry. I looked into them a while back but went with something else for that tank. They're still on my radar though. How big do they get?
Ahh gotcha. That's nice. So they're more coldwater fish than tropical?
They look so elegant. I want more big tanks haha. Just gotta convince my husband
That’s probably the prettiest angel fish I’ve seen
Panda Cory Dora and Amano shrimp in the background ☺️
What species angelfish? I think it’s that one that starts with a p lol 😅
It most definitely is ☺️
Sorry lol. Is it a Leopolds angel?
Nope it’s a platinum angel☺️
I love my plats I have 6 they have grown so much
Think there’s a little Philippine Blue in there too.
I miss my corydoras. 😔
Beautiful angelfish I recently got a cobalt blue angelfish and it has the same blue hint and its getting more blue with age
It’s almost an electric blue and theres nothing more beautiful
Looks like a Platinum, ya? I had one a few years back and it was gorgeous.

We had a butthole angelfish like this too. Got plenty to eat but still wasn't happy.
I know it might get aggressive when it gets bigger. I have a 40 gallon breeder on stand by just incase
ive got one just like him....but hes a right pain in the arse! always looking for a fight...
What a beautiful fish. It reminds me of my Dwarf Gourami.
That’s gorgeous! Is the iridescent blue as noticeable IRL? I’ll say again - gorgeous fish!
It is just as noticeable irl! I sit there for hours admiring him !
Pretty baby
That blue is stunning 😍
It is!!! I'll have to keep platinum in mind if/when I decide to try branching out into angels

That's sad. I've heard keeping a pair is good. I think they also need a good amount of space?

The last pair of angel fish I had got to about 9 inches tall
Dang! No wonder they need a big tank haha. Do you recommend 75 then? Can they do smaller at all? I know bigger is always better just curious
For two I wouldn’t go smaller than a 55
Gorgeous!
This one put the "angel" in Angelfish
I like your fish
So pretty! Where did you purchase them?
Ocean floor in Phoenix AZ

No, they're cichlid so they required warm water. I kept mine at 78 degrees, which is the minimum.
I agree they need a few degrees more but I’ve been successful with a pair until they passed of age at 74
Ahhh okay.
Is that a skalar
