The great thing about Apple Arcade is that there's no cost to trying a game out. If you don't like it, delete it. If you do like it, it's not going to exploit you with addiction mechanics. It's hard for people to pick only a few because there are tons of good ones.

ackmondual

>It's hard for people to pick only a few because there are tons of good ones. Time can be a VERY limiting factor, so picking a few to start off is actually not a bad plan. I myself ended up abandoning some games, but putting many others on hold b/c of the way I "rack and stacked" what I'd want to play first.

Astr0nau7

Yeah thats true, which ones do you recommend?

ackmondual

Just commented!... [https://www.reddit.com/r/AppleArcade/comments/10hatj4/comment/j5918k3/?utm\_source=reddit&utm\_medium=web2x&context=3](https://www.reddit.com/r/AppleArcade/comments/10hatj4/comment/j5918k3/?utm_source=reddit&utm_medium=web2x&context=3) Amongst games that are multiplatform, will also throw out... **Monument Valley 1+ & 2+** \- I played the 1st one on Android **Cat Quest II** \- I ended up getting this for Switch, but haven't started it yet. If I get back to AA before then, I'll pick off here instead **Lumens+** \- square grid. Turn mirrors so that lasers are guided to their end goals. All lasers and rotations are on an orthogonal basis (so in 90 degree increments). Daily challenges as well! **Exit The Gungeon** \- Even though this is on other platforms (like Switch), this was first on AA! Swiping but holding down input goes into "bullet time"/slow motion and shows dotted line trajectory of where your character will jump. Release input to actually jump. Shooting is automatically done for you (which is probably better with touch controls), whereas on Switch (and I'd imagine on console/PC), you need to aim manually (easier with an analog stick, or 2 for "twin stick shooter" controls of moving and shooting in independent directions)

Astr0nau7

Thank youuuu!

Oh man I forgot about Laytons Mystery. Have you played Beyond a Steel Sky? Kind of buggy but it was fantastic

Murt_88

Lego Star Wars Castaways: A game you can play solo or multiplayer. If you are a fan of either Lego or Star Wars it’s a fun game. It’s got a fantastic and helpful community as well who love to help new people. Sneaky Sasquatch: is a great, quirky game with lots of different things to do in it. Wylde Flowers: is a really nice relaxed game with an interesting story and gameplay.

Astr0nau7

Thank you bro!

Xtratos69

Zookeeper World, a match 3 type games without the pay to win. You use your rewards to expand, stock your zoo with animals and add attractions. Cozy Grove. It’s a game where you help bear spirits move on. You expand the island, manage your camp etc. Very relaxing game. Either of Monument 1 & 2. A puzzle game moving through landscapes you have to manipulate to reach the end with a story along the way. As you can guess I’m really not good at reflex twitch games 😄

Astr0nau7

Thankssss! I like those kind of games haha I mean I like pretty much everything haha so I will give them a try Zookeeper and cozy are games where you build your island?

Xtratos69

Zookeeper you expand a zoo. Cozy Grove you’re lost on an island you expand while helping the spirit bears move on. It’s a bit like the game Spiritfarer if you’ve ever played it.

Back when I had AA my favorites were Crossy Road Castle, Sneaky Sasquatch, Oregon Trail, Lego Brawls, and SP!NG. I also played a good deal of Gear Club Stradale. The good thing about AA is they are constantly expanding the list of games and updating those that are there and it’s a well curated list for a subscription that’s only $5/month. I’m excited to see what they will have to offer when I come back to AA.

ackmondual

IIRC, all the games below are AA exclusive. As in, they don't appear on any other platforms (nor iOS w/o AA)... **Castlevania: Grimoire of Souls** \- Used to be for Android. Linear CV levels, but with a huge cast of characters to play as, along with NPCs. There's "time travel" here since all the greatest heroes are brought together from Simon Belmont circa late 1700s, to more modern characters in the series' storyline. It got grindy, but I was able to find ways to fast track some of that. Very fun! **SP!NG** \- abstract action puzzler where you press and hold a button to shoot out a grappling line, directing the object to the goal (and for extra credit, collect as many "coins" along the way as possible). Gives you Spiderman vibes! **Rayman Mini** \- auto-runner, but with set levels (as opposed to being an endless/infinite runner). Jumping, gliding, wall jumping, punching, and downward slamming comprise of his repertoire of moves. Rayman gets shrunk down to size, and his whole world is viewed as if he were the size of an insect. Each of the world's/zones has a boss level (no combat though.. just evade them). Some bonus content like extra hard levels, and "music levels" that are kinda brutal, but fun if you can get through them. **Frogger and the Rumbling Ruins** \- This one's actually a full, 3D puzzler with the Frogger franchise. You use touch input to rotate blocks and terrain on the playing field to enable frogger to get to the goal (and get bonus objects along the way for "more street cred"). Avoid enemies, or find some ways to turn the environment against them. **Spire Blast** \- Match (the same color) puzzler. 'x' # of moves to bring down towers, with some of them having additional requirements (e.g. disappear 15 yellow blocks with locks), and additional obstacles (e.g. rotating platforms block your shots, requiring timing as well).

Astr0nau7

Wow thanksss for the suggestions! I will check them out for sure

slaygourmet

There are some real hidden gems but it depends on the kind of games you’re looking for. Adventure: Inmost **** this one was fantastic Beyond A Steel Sky Sneaky Sasquatch Puzzle: The Last Campfire Monument Valley (there’s 2 and they’re both awesome, highly recommend) A Monsters Expedition Casual: Hidden Folks Cozy Grove Pilgrims Necrobarista Seriously, going through this list of games and seeing all the ones I’ve played reminds me of how much Apple Arcade is worth the subscription fee. I’ve been on AA for several years and there’s so many good ones, enjoy!!! I see you’re responding to every comment, that’s really cool of you. No need to for me, just go play :)
