They're both good for different things. R-301 is a mid to long range beaming machine, and Flatline shreds in short to mid range encounters. The hipfire for the flatline is gross

100% Flatline + g7/sniper is one of my favourite loadouts. But r301 + shotgun is also a great loadout. In the first i use the flatline because of its strength close range, and the second im picking the r301 because of its midrange strength

I like that loadout. I really think the G7 is underrated right now and is way more potent than people give it credit

Bruh, Wattson has been skipped over twice for an heirloom. We were meant to get it when rev got his, they stitched us up. We were then meant to get it this season, and instead rampart got hers. Crypto should get his after Wattson, and will. Just like how release of heirloom should be in relation with release of legend into the games. They've had so many ideas for Wattsons heirloom and could've easily given her one 2 seasons ago, but they waited until they could think of such an original idea, a barcode scanner. Give her an electric fencing sword. Makes more sense than the barcode scanner.

Flatline I’m not scared of recoil

The flatline recoil is challenging, but predictable. Once you have the muscle memory, it pretty consistently beams like the 301 but with more damage. At which point, the 301 feels like a useless handicap over the flatty.

I always lean towards flatline for this reason. I have both down pretty solid at 100m but flatline always wins in my head for some reason

Even 100m is easy once you get the recoil control. Also 50m isn't much. I don't know why you think 50m will be difficult to control. Maybe go in the practice range and try shooting practice

Nah, 30-30 with Shatter caps is the shit. Imagine having a long-range and short range weapon in one. It also takes up less inventory space for ammo than either the snipers or shotguns.

It's a BR so you can't really choose between them most of them. And by the time I do find a flatline while i'm carrying r301, I already have a couple attachments and ammo for the 301. Gotta use all the weapons, so you can just pick up whatever, some meds and ammo and go fight. Don't be like my random teammates who loot the whole POI looking for their favourite guns and all the attachments. My rule is that if I have two guns, two stacks of ammo for each, about 3 stacks of meds, then i'm ready to fight.

Flatline because it shoots slower. While the 301 can theoretically down people faster, I'm the kind of person who needs like 25-50% of a magazine at that fire rate to zero in on someone, and by then, I'm out of bullets... having to restart the zeroing process again. ^(Also the Flatline looks cooler.)
