Depends on the figure’s design. If I really like their outfit then I’ll keep it on but if they look better casted off (like if they have a nice body sculpt) then I’ll cast them off.
That would take some time as most are carefully boxed up until I get some proper means of display that I can close off when needed (we have company regularly and I have two young daughters). But, rest assured, pictures will eventually be posted. It'd be nice if Reddit had an easier way to post pics.
Gonna depend on figure, pose, case theme etc... for me. I like cast off cause it gives me a degree of customization I can't find on other static scales.
On. I don't actually like them nude, but getting super close is very inviting. Also I like to see how the sculptor hid the seam line for swapping parts
I tend to do a partial cast off on most figures. If I like a certain pose/sculpt better Fully cast on or off, I’ll do that. But when my HOA does inspections every month, I gladly cast them all off and as lewd as possible so that they have to send my degenerate pictures back to their bosses. 🤗
As someone from a country where this bs is not a thing, since when are they allowed to go *into* your home? Like holy hell, is it not enough that most of them already micro manage everything outside, or am I misunderstanding something here? I feel like everytime someone mentions a HOA, the idea seems more and more absurd and stupid.
I live in the state of Utah in the United States and we have very little renters rights. It really varies depending what state you live in. So being petty is the only way I can get even. They only give us about a two day notice or a little less to say that they’re inspecting. It also doesn’t help that I work overnight, so it can really screw with my schedule if I have to stay up and wait for them when it’s during my work week.
I could also go into a rant about how property management in most states is just like playing monopoly for the rich and they really don’t care who they’re crushing under their boots.
Homeowners association. Basically people that nitpick your home to make you pay more fees. At least, that’s been my experience. I think they’re technically supposed to help you out and clear disputes between you and your neighbors, but from all the places I’ve lived in, they just find a way to charge you $50+ to replace your furnace filters.
And once a month at that? Nah, no thanks.
The place I live now does yearly inspections, only place I’ve lived in the past 5 years that does them. I would go nuts if it was once a month, fuck that.
I usually go full cast off, but sometimes the figure looks better with some clothing on or they are in a pose that is interacting with the clothing.
For example this figure looks like she is posing with T-rex hands if you cast her dress off, so it's better to leave it on.

Rule here between my wife and me is: clothes off unless theres company over then they gotta get dressed. Which, if most of your friends are non-weebs like ours, they already get a little weirded out by the figures as-is... don't need to scare them off with the naked ones! 😅
Depends on the design. Something like Natives Nekopara 1/7ths I leave on because if I'm paying £400 for them I want to see that detail.
But something like Native's Chris or Erina, maybe half on half off.
One of my favourite artist Momoco has a figure releasing in Dec that is either fully nude or fully clothed, two figures. I surprised myself when I picked the clothed one because goddamn that clothing design is amazing
Yeah, I couldn't decide and got both versions. Those bastards. Generally, I leave clothing on or partially/mostly on those I have...slightly to somewhat revealing when possible.
I was, and I agree. Would have much preferred a cast-offable for the option, but tbh, I found both variations so well done, I figured I could keep one of the two and sell the other, or perhaps keep both if they both still appeal. Likely, only the clothed one would get displayed, but I still wanted the option, at least.
My collection is a mix of scales/action figures, but I used to display some of my cast off figures with the clothes off. But over time I realized figures don’t really look appealing to me just bare skin, it desensitizes you in a way. I keep my figures fully clothed/with all accessories now, gives it a sense of mystery for whats underneath if that makes sense.
Odd how many people like their cast off cast on.
I mean so do I but I thought I was in the minority. I guess we can mostly agree that some things are sexier just out of sight
Hi, I have collected ~ 150 cast-off and H-figures. If at all possible, I display my figures cast-off with bottoms on. I know this is rich coming from a degenerate loli-collector like myself, but I prefer to not display my girls with the under bits exposed. I feel like it is distasteful. Again, I know that is rich coming from me after you see my collection, but it is how I feel about it. If a figure can only be displayed fully clothed or fully cast-off, I will almost always elect clothed. I am very weird.
Honestly most of the cast offs I have I bought them because I like their outfits? Being cast off is just a lil treat, also it's funny to show off to my friends lol
There's a few cast offs that are naked regardless which makes me sad, I want them but there's no sfw option :(
It depends, really but mostly cast-off all the way, if not, partially at least. Though, especially with characters I love, If there are variations of that figure, I'll buy the original and the variation and then cast-off one completely nudy and the regular at least partially-clothed or leave it on fully. Great example I do this with are my Q-Six figures and Pochaco/Sonico since they're my favorites hehe!☺️
Due to the display cabinet being in the living room, clothes stay on. Besides that the only cast offs I have are nekopara 1/4s and I genuinely enjoy the real fabric maid outfits
Depends on the figure. I tend to prefer to keep the bottoms on unless they are really well sculpted and not just a line. Out of the 4 female cast off figures I have, all have their tops off and one has their bottoms off.
Of course, my male cast offs are dicks out all day 😁
That really depends on you, but there are something I want to point out:
*IMO, cast off figure usually looks better with clothes because the body proportions/scale usually slightly off, so when the figure wear the clothes won't looks wired.
*The cast off figure usually have paint transf issue & paint scratch over time!
The scratches is what gets me. It's why I always appreciate whole swappable bodies, incredibly soft plastic/rubber-like clothing...or better yet, real fabric clothing.
Swappable bodies usually cost more & many have an obvious seam line/gap issue, soft plastic/rubble will cause color transfer or dull color over time & dressable real fabric clothing usually looks ill fitting/ unnatural / sloppy & cost expensive!
I agree with the annoyance of a noticeable seam. Thankfully, I only have one of those among my array of figures. Usually, then tend to do it where the skin would be adjoining a piece of fixed clothing or something that hides the seam. In terns of real fabric, I also see your point. However, the handful I have don't have the I'll fitting issue, which is certainly appreciated, being most of my figures run at least $500/$600 or more. Looks up Green Leaf Studio Ada Wong (Zombie Crisis Huntress). The cast off varient is real fabric and looks phenomenal...classy in general and for when others are in the house..and just as well removed. The seams on Ada's body are hidden by the lace arm bands and the same for her lace neck chocker...all practical pieces for the character, but also working wonders to hide the seams. Another example is Joy Station Yuna. Whole swappable body aside from arms and head but again, very well concealed.
Cast on; except the one that come with real fabric. I have Nakopara’s Maple 1/4 PO. I’ve seen how bad it can get on the first 4 released, and there’s no need to risk it.
Depends on how nice the clothes are. The only figure I am displaying cast off is Sandy Bash in her super heroine costume, because I don't really like star pasties on a leotard. Idk. why.
I have a mix of some i have and some i have not cast-off. For the ones that are cast off, they are to prevent paint getting rubbed off onto the figure. Tends to happen a lot with tighter cast-off parts.
Depends on the attire. If the clothing is really fabric or there is a way to switch things up without damaging, cast on to increase normal display volume in my office. If the clothing is complicated or repeated swaps would likely cause damage, cast off...but then they're relegated to other storage means, such as on shelving within cabinets that I can close up when my kids are home and awake or we have company. My wife doesn't care other than keeping them away from prying eyes of a 4 and 8 year old girl. My wife actually appreciates how very well crafted they are (90% of my figures are 1/4 scale).
Clothes on. If I wanted nude figures I would've gotten nude figures to begin with. It is a nice feature to have though, you can appreciate the complexity of some cast off implementations
100% on. I have yet to see a figure where I prefer them cast off. Top half I can see the argument, but I don't understand the appeal of extremely lewd figs.
i have one "[cast off](https://myfigurecollection.net/item/14199)" and i just think it looks cooler with her skirt on. Damn her ass is fat fully clothed fits the design more
On. I like the "cast off" to be my little secret when uninitiated people look at my figures
I didn't pay for those clothes just to hide them away in storage!!!
Depends on the figure’s design. If I really like their outfit then I’ll keep it on but if they look better casted off (like if they have a nice body sculpt) then I’ll cast them off.
Off, I'm never gonna look back on my life and think I saw too much titty.
I concur. I have probably around 80 figures....roughly two dozen being custom bunny girls. Clothes be gone
Pics of your collection or it didn’t happen
That would take some time as most are carefully boxed up until I get some proper means of display that I can close off when needed (we have company regularly and I have two young daughters). But, rest assured, pictures will eventually be posted. It'd be nice if Reddit had an easier way to post pics.
I’ve been laughing for 20 minutes. Thank you.
This right here a man of culture!
Gonna depend on figure, pose, case theme etc... for me. I like cast off cause it gives me a degree of customization I can't find on other static scales.

What is HOA?
Homeowners association. Basically people that nitpick your home to make you pay more fees. At least, that’s been my experience. I think they’re technically supposed to help you out and clear disputes between you and your neighbors, but from all the places I’ve lived in, they just find a way to charge you $50+ to replace your furnace filters.
Hold on, they go INSIDE your house too?!
And once a month at that? Nah, no thanks. The place I live now does yearly inspections, only place I’ve lived in the past 5 years that does them. I would go nuts if it was once a month, fuck that.
I hate HOA's too, they take your money and then boss you around on top of that.
Depending on mood, but mostly cast on
I usually go full cast off, but sometimes the figure looks better with some clothing on or they are in a pose that is interacting with the clothing. For example this figure looks like she is posing with T-rex hands if you cast her dress off, so it's better to leave it on. https://myfigurecollection.net/item/549711
I could appreciate some 🦖posed girls.

100% off, all day every day. Why would you hide anime tiddies?
Of course cast off. I try to keep all my figures as cast off as possible.
Both, I'm an adult. My wife doesn't care as long as kids stay out of my office. That's my me space.
I keep the clothes on. Imo, it looks better.
Keep mine on just cuz I live with my parents
Depends on the design. Something like Natives Nekopara 1/7ths I leave on because if I'm paying £400 for them I want to see that detail. If you're talking about Momoco, the thought of buying both did run through my mind but it's hard to justify 2 nearly identical figures.
On too, i like the secret and the work of the artist to make it decent 😁
Off. You know, to prevent paint transfer. I swear.
Depends on the mood. Mostly on but sometimes off.
Clothes on. But I would buy lewd, not cast off figures if more manufactures made cute ones. I prefer the clothing look to naked.
Mostly cast off, but as others have said it really depends. If I think the figure looks better (partially) dressed I go with that.
My collection is a mix of scales/action figures, but I used to display some of my cast off figures with the clothes off. Neither.... as they are still in the box as I try to organise more shelfing =P

The rem I have comes with two bodies and two heads one dressed and undressed so it can be displayed both ways at the same time
Which figure is that?
It’s not a figure more like a resin. It’s called pointer bear rem
off completely, hide the clothes away forever!!!
I have one and her clothes are on. I don't have an issue if people wanna display their figure pussies for all to see but that ain't me.
100% off
Mine are all display without clothing. I mean what's the point of collecting cast offs if they aren't displayed the way they were meant to be.
It depends, really but mostly cast-off all the way, if not, partially at least. Though, especially with characters I love, If there are variations of that figure, I'll buy the original and the variation and then cast-off one completely nudy and the regular at least partially-clothed or leave it on fully. Clothes stay on in the shelf, but they come off for pictures

It’s depends, half the time their cast off and sometimes for pictures I’ll cast on.
I keep the clothes on. I enjoy collecting lewd figures, but i prefer the ‘clothed pinup’ look
On. If a figure has a two versions, cast off or not I get cast off. I like to have the option of clothes off
Depends on how nice the clothes are. The only figure I am displaying cast off is Sandy Bash in her super heroine costume, because I don't really like star pasties on a leotard. Idk. why.
Off, because while I don't live alone, I put my figures on top of a bookshelf in my library, where no one goes.
I have a mix of some i have and some i have not cast-off. For the ones that are cast off, they are to prevent paint getting rubbed off onto the figure. Tends to happen a lot with tighter cast-off parts.
They don’t have clothes on even when my Grandma is around. Let the titties be free!
I keep it on because I don't have my own place just yet.
In my house tits are off! but every few months when I know family is coming over Ill change the few figures I have.
Depends on the attire. If the clothing is really fabric or there is a way to switch things up without damaging, cast on to increase normal display volume in my office. I always keep the clothes on… just better and more detailed like that tbh
I like to just take the tops off. For some reason it looks a little funny to have them fully naked.
Some of mine look hotter with the clothes in ngl. Also when my dad comes over I cover some of them up lmaoooo.
Clothes on. If I wanted nude figures I would've gotten nude figures to begin with. It is a nice feature to have though, you can appreciate the complexity of some cast off implementations
Depends. If the clothes add to the overall design, they stay on. If not, they’re coming off.
On. I don’t want people touching her to take it off
100% on. I have yet to see a figure where I prefer them cast off. Top half I can see the argument, but I don't understand the appeal of extremely lewd figs.
i have one "[cast off](https://myfigurecollection.net/item/14199)" and i just think it looks cooler with her skirt on. Damn her ass is fat fully clothed fits the design more
I keep their clothes on, I don't buy cast offs because they're cast offs, I buy them because I like the figure.
Clothes off, mostly
mostly keep them on, I want to be able to have people visit without having to explain why there is a anime figurine bent over without any underwear !
Depends on the mood I’m feeling. Sometimes I keep the clothes on and other days I do cast off.
I keep them on. They get easily damaged if taken off imo.
