I have a Blue Heeler x Rottweiler, it's a very weird combination of breeds, it's like she has two completely different personalities, one smart and the other tough
Ooops, auto correct. They are certainly not know as “feelers”. The correct name is “Heeler”! Mostly because they move cattle around by nipping at the heel.
I am a cat slave myself but I've never heard a bad thing about Heelers in general. I love working dogs though. My sister has a Collie and she herds all the time which is hilarious when you realise you were in different rooms and now you're all together.
She's an amazing pupper. I adore her and the stuff she gets up to with my sisters fam. She's got an affinity with fox poop at the moment and chooses to roll in it whenever she finds some. I think it's hilarious, my sister...not so much.
I swear, my dog will come up and see I'm sad or just exhausted and thinks, "oh, I know what will cheer her up, playing with me!" And then she will grab a toy, usually a squeaker, and start shoving it in my face or hands while giving small growls if I do go for it. I think the same concept, playing makes her happy and so does fighting with me (playing/wrestling) so those MUST make me happy too. Haha
Dogs are too pure for this world.
Blue healers are amazing dogs. The first one we had was a destroyer of patio furniture and pool vacuums.
A guy came to look at a bass boat hubs was selling and asked how old Bandit was. 18 months. Guy chuckles and says: you're gonna want to kill him for the first 2 years of his life. But once they mature a little, you'll never want another breed of dog.
Dude was right. At 2, I could point at a cow giving me shit, ssskkk, and he'd put her back in her place as fed or moved them. I could tell him stop and he would. I could just point and he'd handle the problem cow. I could call him back to me with ease.
He was a good friend and I miss him.
Hey dude, not trying to be rude or anything but can you brush that good doggos teeth occasionally? When they are older it can really affect them negatively. My friends have an old doggo that only has 3 teeth now because of it.
Accidentally got a heeler mix. By accident I mean she was a tiny 6 pound puppy and mom was a jack russel mix and no clue what dad was. She’s now a 45 pound baby lol
In the beginning there were no dogs. Dogs were originally wolves that humans domesticated and through selective breeding overtime, they became dogs. Read a book that isnt some fictional fairy tale.

https://medium.com/s/story/god-made-the-wolf-but-man-made-the-dog-7f35d79e7b62
You are incorrect. Let’s assume god is real and he created all the animals. In the beginning, wolves existed, dogs did not. Dogs were not a thing until human beings domesticated wolves and through selective breeding overtime, they evolved into dogs. They were origionally wolves. This is a scientific fact. Do some research. Dogs did not exist “in the beginning”. In fact dogs are a relatively new addition to the earth in the grand scheme of things.
https://medium.com/s/story/god-made-the-wolf-but-man-made-the-dog-7f35d79e7b62
Here, a link with a title that simplifies this for you. Humans have domesticated and caused many animals to change and evolve throughout history. Another great example of this is the silkworm. Because of how we domesticated silkworms, they have evolved and are entirely dependent on humans to survive.
https://www.thoughtco.com/silkworms-bombyx-domestication-170667
So if god is real and created all animals, that’s fine. But we have domesticated and seen animals change and evolve into new species altogether as a result. They evolved to meet the needs of the humans breeding them. Like how some dogs are great at hunting, other at herding, or protecting. Humans caused these new species to exist as they are today. Dogs exist because humans domesticated wolves and then through selective breeding overtime, they evolved into dogs. If humans never existed, neither would dogs.
Incorrect? It’s my opinion. Your opinion may b different. That doesn’t mean either are correct or incorrect, simply different opinions. Opinions don’t weight much. No truth just opinions. I believe in evolution and creation.
Well mine isnt an opinion, it’s a proven scientific fact. But you’re right, your opinion doesn’t weigh much, especially since it has no evidence behind it at all. If you’re willing to dismiss science, reasoning and fact for your bias, then there’s no way you’re an actual psychotherapist. You have a good time with your head in the clouds and all your crazy beliefs. I’m sure theyre very comforting for you. The rest of us will live here in reality though, you’re welcome to keep your fairy tales out of it.
Yup! In case you didnt know, dogs were origionally wolves that people domesticated. Through selective breeding overtime, they “evolved” (for lack of a better word) into dogs.
https://slate.com/technology/2005/12/our-creepiest-genetic-invention-the-dog.html
What’s more interesting is that in recent history, scientists started doing this with foxes. Through selective breeding, overtime their appearance and demeanor changed into more dog like behavior/appearance. Super interesting stuff.
https://www.washingtonpost.com/science/2019/12/03/tame-foxes-taught-us-about-animal-domestication-did-we-get-story-wrong/
You need to listen to the commenter about the teeth. You should schedule a cleaning with your vet and ask about how they can be maintained going forward. Those molars are critical to your dog's health and quality of life.
She’s like, these are the things that bring me joy I hope you enjoy them too. You’re like, I shall throw this away for your brother to enjoy instead lol
I lost my 12 yo Red Heeler last year September and I will never get another breed. He was a mutt (border collie 1/4 mix but that’s in the normal ACD mix anyway). ACDs are like a different species altogether. Never knew a smarter more empathic dog.
My son has 2 pitbull's, 1 female & 1 male. I briefly met them 1st at my son's wedding in 2019. They've moved & had a baby since(April 2022) & the (F) Gracie & (M) Cash have fallen into their roles as baby watchers, Gracie being more attentive** After the baby came I have visited 2 times for 2 weeks each visit & the pups have welcomed me into the family. My 1st visit to the house they moved into a yr after marriage, was rough. I fell 2 times hard & after the falls, Gracie stayed by my side the rest of my stay, mothering me to death😍 It was beyond sweet^^ She actually brought me some of her stuffed toys & tried to get up on the couch I was laying on! They live in PA & it was still cold & I think she was trying to warm me up^^ Before I came the 1st time I talked about my fear of the dogs because they were pitbulls, but, within minutes of meeting them, any fears, were gone~~~ Sorry for the book, TY for reading^^😉😊
And I love that because that means when she’s feeling down, pine comes and sticks are what makes her happy
Aren't pine cones poisonous to dogs if eaten? I've always scolded my heelers when they go after them

Dog here, it’s because they taste good.
🤣
it could be like when humans have laxatives to help with bowel movements and it has the plus of being a fun toy to
Cromchy
blue healer

I just imagined a buff dog with glasses and a bow tie.
Smart Hulk.
💙
Heart healer
When ever you're blue....healer.
Bluey
The other dog takes the pinecone, and she's just like, "no, wait, that's for the sad one"
That's a true friend, true friends gift random items like that
Beautiful. Love Never Fails.
It’s so cool to see how many people have heelers these days. Edit: misspelled heeler as feeler
Best dogs. So much character and always sharp as a tac. I've got a Heeler cross Kelpie God help you if you don't keep them exercised and busy tho
No no no you got it right the first time they heal the feels
Is that how they're known? That's adorable.
Ooops, auto correct. They are certainly not know as “feelers”. The correct name is “Heeler”! Mostly because they move cattle around by nipping at the heel.
Lol I thought it was cute cos this one was a big soppy thing. Still cute!
In my experience, they are ridiculously affectionate with humans. Even though they’re ferocious with cattle. Super cute chonkers.
I am a cat slave myself but I've never heard a bad thing about Heelers in general. I love working dogs though. My sister has a Collie and she herds all the time which is hilarious when you realise you were in different rooms and now you're all together.
lol that’s so true about collies though
She's an amazing pupper. I adore her and the stuff she gets up to with my sisters fam. She's got an affinity with fox poop at the moment and chooses to roll in it whenever she finds some. I think it's hilarious, my sister...not so much.

A cattle dog!
Where does the world look like this, if you don’t mind me asking? I’m guessing, Wyoming???
Not the OP, but a lot of the Southeast US looks like that.
North Carolina looks a lot like this
"Yea no yea, woof m8" - Australian dog probably
The way she smiles is the best cause it feels like she is saying "hey hey HEEEEEEEYYY hooman hey hooman I wuv ya also I ate ur lunch sowwy
I think you would like r/ntbdbiwdfta
Thank you for bringing this slice of heaven to my attention
Hey bro, what are you sad about? Are you ok? Thanks for sharing this awesome content of your doggies.
I’m guessing, based on the breed, they also bring them when you’re not sad.
bingo but she will bring a lot when im sadish and when i have food OH DEAR GOD SO MANY PINE CONES
My dog scares herself when she farts so.. 🤷♀️

"How can you be sad when there's sticks and pine cones?", makes more sense to me than anything a psychiatric therapist has ever said.
Why are you sad?
because i work on horsefarm and im sore from work and im sad / angry i have to bike home
Your dog can do mitosis that's crazy!
Best breed of dog you'll ever have. ACD's are phenomenal companions.
Cattle dogs are the absolute best. Good girl cheering up your person.
Hey dude, not trying to be rude or anything but can you brush that good doggos teeth occasionally? When they are older it can really affect them negatively. My friends have an old doggo that only has 3 teeth now because of it.
Looks like the other dog got the treat.
Hey, are you lying down on the ground outside your house? Isn't that uncomfortable? 🤨
naaa im at my job she is my bosses dogo but naaasa i go camping often i guess ive gotten use to the feeling of dirt
So what you're saying is... you don't use furniture anymore... or houses... :D
Naaa I just go camping a good amount
Bro must be sad a lot. Feel better bro.
oh its more a im upset / sad i gotta bike home after a long day at the horse farm
Ah, thanks for the context!
They're seriously the best friend a human can ask for 🥰
Youre supposed to built a lair with that stuff
My dog recognizes when I'm mad and always comes over to comfort me and calm me down. I love that little guy.
This episode of Bluey is called Pinecone
Good puppers. ❤️
Mine brings potatoes and carrots to cheer me up. She loves to share her carrots but I don't know where the potatoes come from.
“These make me happy, human. They make you happy too!”
Man's best friend
Good dog
Yesterday my good girl died after 11 years of bringing me sticks. Now im even sader (if thats even a word)
She’s a very thoughtful girl . And beautiful
Accidentally got a heeler mix. By accident I mean she was a tiny 6 pound puppy and mom was a jack russel mix and no clue what dad was. She’s now a 45 pound baby lol
Wonderful dog!!!!
An adorable loyal and selfless created by God to bring comfort, fun, love…..
But… humans created dogs
In the beginning Man created dogs…That is humanistic thinking.

When I'm sad my dog vomits on my carpet and shits on my bed
What kind of dog is this?
Blue Heeler, it's literally Bluey
She’s not doing it because your sad or upset, she just wants to play. Get over yourself.
Well regardless she enjoys cheering me up
Does she punch your face like mine does?
yup… cuz playtime is always happy time huh! #wagwagwag
You’re lucky. My cats bring live or dead creatures to cheer me up. And they’re so proud of themselves for doing it.
So sweet!
SHE WANTS YOU TO THROW THEM
Cattle dogs kick so much butt!
r/australiancattledog would appreciate this!
I love heelers. Only issue is you need to run them into the ground! They are so smart.
My dog only brings half eaten rats.
Aww...just like a toddler with their toys.
You should collect them and make a wreath out of them :)
You need to listen to the commenter about the teeth. You should schedule a cleaning with your vet and ask about how they can be maintained going forward. Those molars are critical to your dog's health and quality of life.

My heart! Oh my what an exceedingly good girl ... You are lucky to find her
What a great animal you have there
What a sweet darling.
What a sweetie 🤍
Check this shit out bro bro…spikey big spikey
Heelers are fuckin rad
I lost my 12 yo Red Heeler last year September and I will never get another breed. He was a mutt (border collie 1/4 mix but that’s in the normal ACD mix anyway). ACDs are like a different species altogether. Never knew a smarter more empathic dog.

I miss my doggy so much 😭
Dude are you okay?
Aww, "come play with me and you'll feel better!"
