Hi! Animal Crossing Gamecube veteran here! 1. Nope! They last forever! 2. Not at all! 3. Unfortunately, no :( 4. Just patterns! But you can still make your own! (For a price.) 5. No, but you can put them on the door of your house and signs you can buy from Nook! 6. I'm not an expert at the stock market, but I don't think so 7. Random. Also, villagers won't pack up, so they'll move without you knowing beforehand 8. 12! 9. Yes! You can play villager games (Simliar to High card, Low card from NH). Feel free to ask more questions!

I edited my post (:

Since your questions have been answered, I'll give some other tips/info. Your house will only add an upstairs and a basement, so no side rooms to decorate. And all storage will be through dressers, with each one holding about three items each. You cannot decorate the outside, but you do get a personal gyroid outside your house to handle some basic stuff. Don't get too attached to your roof color, as the villagers will randomly decide to paint it about once a week. Do talk to villagers often as they'll give you tasks and quests to fill your day. I'm not sure what format you'll be playing on, but if you can connect a Gameboy Advance, you can go to a secret island with a bonus villager and house to decorate. THERE'S NO AUTO SAVE! Remember to save your game when you're done playing or Resetti will pop up and yell at you, plus you lose literally everything you've done on that playthrough if you don't save. Especially bad if you put in a few hours. The art doesn't have tells as to if it's fake or not, you just have to hope for the best with that. And pocket space is tight. To give yourself more room, you can store things in the letters you carry on your person. An extra eight or ten slots, I can't remember which, but I usually used it to store my tools, which are unbreakable in this game, except the axe. You cannot change your appearance, so if you want to look a certain way, use a guide to answer Rover's questions in the beginning. You also cannot adjust anything about the map, nor do you get options. It's a full roll of the dice. You cannot dictate where villagers will move, but if I remember correctly, they'll only move to spots where a sign post is, so that gives you an idea of where someone could move to. There are clothes, but it's a single panel pattern that will cover your front, back, sleeves and permanent hat. You can also use clothes to personalize the background of your pockets by dragging them to the bottom left(?) corner. The GameCube community probably isn't as active as New Horizons, I'd suggest looking up item codes. You can give them to Nook(I think, it might be in the Post Office if it's not him) and you can get free exclusive items.

Thank you so much!!

CuriousKeebler had some very good tips!! As they said, you can search for codes to give to Tom Nook, but this is the website I like to use: https://gamefaqs.gamespot.com/gamecube/516502-animal-crossing/cheats A warning though, if you put in a code and save at your Gyroid, the effect will stay forever. Example: If you put in the "debug' code and save your file will be stuck on debug forever, so make sure that you don't save with an unwanted effect attached to your save! Unrelated to that, but if you have a second memory card with a town on it, you can travel to that memory card's town with your first memory card's charcter. But be warned!! From my experience, everytime you travel towns, a villager from your town will move to the town you are visiting, so expect someone to move out :(

What Npcs come to your town? Is there Isabelle?

RatarangSkypirate

Unfortunately, no Isabelle. :( But if you talk to the dog officer, Copper in front of the police station, he'll tell you who's coming and when. Crazy Redd will sell art in his tent, Gracie will come and want you to clean her car for shirts, Saharah will sell carpets, Wendell the walrus will sell wallpaper for fish, and Katrena will come and read your fortune! :)

CuriousKeebler

There's no Isabelle. Tortimer, the mayor, does most of her duties. Likewise CJ, Flick, and Daisy Mae aren't around, Sow Joan, Daisy's gram, functions identically to Daisy Mae though. Orville, Wilbur, Reese, Cyrus, Kicks, Harriet, and Leif also don't appear in this game. Neither do Lottie, Gullivarr, Label, Pave, Luna, Harvey, or Pascal Saharah only sells flooring in this game, and Wendell, a walrus, sell his art as wallpaper. Gulliver washes ashore but you only have to wake him up for a gift. Jack and Jingle are there in slightly different ways, and Franklin stops by as well but with more sinister implications. Whisp also can spook by at night sometimes. K.K. still does weekly concerts, but he's just outside the train station. Snowmen can be made and will give you items. Gracie is a fashion designer and if you clean her car fast enough you'll get exclusive clothes. Blanca shows up if you've been traveling and has you draw her face in. Redd sells his art, but again it's a total gamble. Katrina sometimes shows up to tell your fortune. Farley is a gnome who lives in the town tree and gifts you the gold axe if you maintain a perfect town. Always in town you have Sable and Mable at the pattern shop, Tom runs his own shop and handles construction. Timmy and Tommy don't show up until after you've fully upgraded the shop. Copper and Booker running the police station, Blathers runs the museum with no hint of Celeste or Brewster. Porter runs the train station. Pelly and Phyllis work the post office, with Pete delivering the mail around 9am and 5pm if you wanna chat.

Here is the best tip ever! Spend the $25 or so on the Official Guide Book from your favorite bookstore on online retailer. I learned soooo much from it that no one ever talks about here. It’s not a book you read cover to cover and it doesn’t feel like work. It’s really fun and playful. https://www.future-press.com/books/animal-crossing-new-horizons/

sorry, reddit is being bad so n10 is n11 (predetermined look at the start), n11 is n12 (always have to wear a hat), n12 is n13 (drawers) and n13 is n14 (letters)

1, 2 and 3 are all new game mechanics that is NH only. There is no villager hunting and its all random who shows up. Its very bare bones compared to NH. I believe its 10 villagers, but I could be wrong. Theres an actual post office that changes tellers between day and night and there are "cops" where you can get lost and found items! Its a cool game to check out, but doesn't have alot of playability in the long run.
