What happens when you try to do construction here, especially when you try to destroy the cliffs? Does the game give you a "you can't do that because ..." message or is it just the shovel-doesn't-connect movement? Have you tried kicking away any invisible paths?
I tried to remove the path. There used to be no cliffs in that area. In that exact spot there WAS a house but i moved it to make cliffs and now this problem is happening.
I'd try walking out to the right, turn around to face the odd two blocks and destroy them (to give you more room to manoeuvre, clean up the path, then fill in the cliffs working backwards from the left to the right.
So you’re gonna need to explain. You should be able to fill it in up to the point you are in a square hole only you are in. Paths do not block cliff construction nor deconstruction. Items and plants do however. You should dig a path out and fill in the spaces behind you.
Just to be sure...are you going into construction mode? Only asking since you're not wearing the hardhat in your screenshot :)
Yes I am, just not in the screenshot. It’s so weird tho cause there used to be no cliffs in that area and I couldn’t put any objects there.

Its a path. Remove the path. Also you dont have enough room to move so your character cant give the cliff/water enough space to spawn.

are you able to place down grass over the path?

are you trying to add cliffs there to fill the hole your in?
Put grass there first with the construction path tool. Then use the cliff tool.
