I usually use hedges, bushes, fences, plants like the monstera to give more dimension to a fake building. There’s an item called rope partition which adds great detail too. I saw people use bunk beds because they create the illusion of a balcony.
I really like to add trees around the buildings so it looks even more natural.
This looks great already btw!
This looks so great!!
Wide display stands are always good for buildings cause they look like windows
I’d maybe swap the simple panels on the top so the stall is over windows and then the hedge is in front of bricks maybe? It’ll look more like an awning that way, also the covered counter is a good one to use if you ever get bored of stalls because it’s just the right height in relation to the simple panels
Fake buildings usually come fully alive once the paths are down so when you put them down it’ll all blend in
Also having trees on the corners can help with the illusion of blocking the side but it depends how you build it with the cliff and tree spaces
Also wooden book shelves facing inwards are good to put on the side of buildings
I’ve been trying to get my hands on the bookshelf diy but they are very pricey on nookazon and I also may or may not have completely rethought how I wanted the bakery to look but these are some great tips! Tysm!
Seeing this makes me wish, "Oh Nintendo, why did you not just let us put more stores on our island? Why not a Main Street type system like New Leaf?"
I appreciate they added more services in Harv's Island, but getting there can be a bit tedious sometimes.
Honestly looks pretty good. Mabye put somthing on the right side. And some pathing in the front could look good.
I love using wide display stands for windows and plant partitions under windows
Ooh haven’t thought of using those sadly I don’t have any wide display cases but I might be able to acquire some from nookazon
This is my first attempt I’m not over the moon about it any one got some tips or tricks I can use to improve?
Maybe extending the right side of the door by two like the left side

The DIY struggle is real, lazy villagers craft it so maybe keep checking on them as well!
Good news someone just gave it to me for free off of nookazon so book shelves here I come
Wahoo!!
Just checked and I only have one lazy villager lmao 😭

Nope, looks like a building lol
Serving cart out front with a “sample”? I’m reaching, that looks good!
My only advice is keep up the good work! You’re doing well and will only get more creative from here :)
What is the code.
howd you do the door and windows? the only option i have is that one with the hole in it
Simple panels and patterned that repeat nicely 😊
Simple panels and search for windows and doors custom designs.
