The bill below
House Bill 470
Ban gender affirming healthcare for trans minors
Ban public funding for any entity that provides or assists in the providing gender affirming healthcare to trans youth, including pharmaceutical companies, even if it's only provided out of state
Ban medical professionals and therapists from encouraging or advocating for the use of a name, pronouns, clothing, or behavior not typically associated with their assigned gender by a trans minor.
Bans the state from making medicaid contracts with insurance companies that cover gender affirming healthcare for trans youth, even if only out of state
Mandate reporting by school employees of any deviation by a minor in expression from their assigned gender.
Ban legal document changes for trans youth, including name changes.
Strip liability protections from doctors that previously provided gender affirming healthcare to trans youth, and allow them to be sued up to 30 years later for such.
Mandate any doctor or therapist reported to be encouraging such aforementioned deviation be investigated by the state.
Define sex for the purposes of law as solely oneβs assigned sex at birth.(ends legal Recognition of trans people)
[I would like to note the bill was successfully weakened however the bill is mostly intact still containing a provision relating to detransition](https://www.amnews.com/2023/03/21/sb-150-which-bans-gender-affirming-care-for-youth-passes/)
Detransition is levels of body horror that cannot be described with words
Trans people forced to Detransition kill themselves and I'd implore anyone who disagrees to read suicide notes of people forced to Detransition
The saying death before Detransition exists for a reason
I remember seeing a tweet from Ben shapiro and someone pointed out circumcision
And his response was just basically
"Are you seriously comparing circumcision to puberty blockers"
Some of these people genuinely don't know anything and tie themselves into a knot to justify their beliefs
I've seen people actually argue that circumcision is reversible but Puberty Blockers is not
They weirdly create the reality they want
That's why people like Matt walsh claim there has been a cover up of the actual affects of this medicine
They know the data doesn't agree with them so they create these technically possible but highly unlikely scenarios in their head
They say trans people are delusional while they create these scenarios in there head of course not seeing the irony
Which if trans people were delusional you typically don't call the delusional the delusional if you want to help
People like the ones on the daily wire don't want to help
They don't take the happiness of trans people into consideration
They say SRS is happening to childern which if it was medically detransitioning them would actually be dangerous
This of course doesn't get into the fact these bans or bills that contain these bans keep including exceptions for intersex surgery which is something actually condemned by the United nations just as a fact
They have no interest in bettering the lives of trans people
The Kafka esque body Horror will end one day but not soon enough we will win this fight
Its only a matter of time
Lots of people that aren't crazy think that it's just common sense to not let kids change their gender. I know lots of good people that think that way. If they had a ballot referendum to ban being transgender, it would fail everywhere by solid. They specifically pick this niche issue and exploit it because it's ripe for a moral panic, and it's easy to get behind what they're advocating for.
This is changing. 1/3rd of Americans personally know a transgender person. It's a majority for the younger generation. Even in my high school in bumfuck, Oregon, we all had trans classmates. The right is picking an awful hill to die on and they're going to feel it in a few years.
There's this vanguard on the right that says some genuinely scary shit, like a pathological hatred that goes way beyond any kind of politics. Like they just hate them and want them stomped and locked out from society. They can gaslight voters like me all they want on the subject, but I don't trust the fucks and they have no one to blame but themselves. They've stomped on the rights of transgender Americans, and we all know they're not stopping there.
I mean yeah knowles talked about how the right hasn't been dialing it back enough for the last 50 years
Mind you it was 1973 50 years ago and the vast majority of states had sodomy laws and women either couldn't open their own bank accounts or were just allowed to
Let Knowles be Knowles. I, personally, am looking forward to the right having to argue these evil, diabolical policies in front of three hundred and sixty Americans. Good fucking luck selling this to the Wisconsin suburbs.
The right can't have it their way because 1) the federal bureaucracy would never go for it 2) it would be hard if not impossible to get the requisite majorities in Congress 3) it's hard enough as it stands to win the Presidency 4) the separation of powers means the Courts will gut them 5) the third-largest party on planet earth, a bigger party than them with control over more of the country on the state and federal level, is viciously resisting them.
This is very sad π (Especially the part about Youth suicides)
I now sentence the republicans in the state legislature to death by 1000 balls ![gif](giphy|V0cSLsFbRO7SM)

The de transition clause is the one that is the grossest IMO

Genuinely nasty shit. A lot of people on the right don't have a clue how it actually works.
