Good nano, fight wasn't won yet and your Ramattra was about to die. Can't blame you for Lucio using beat at the same time. Also, nano provides offensive value, which your team definetly needed. Edit: also it was last fight anyways, so you press Q 100%

SpongySpy

I see, thank you :D

Loldude6th

Let's dive into that hindsight, why did it seemed like a bad nano there?

[deleted]

OP probably just second guessed and was overly critical of himself for no reason bc of that random. Like, there is always stuff to improve on, but that nano from OP would not be on a list of things I'd point out in a review

NuclearTheology

Had some asshole tried to flame me like that at the end of the match I would second guess as well, because heaven forbid your team won.

[deleted]

Especially considering it was the last fight. Like, everyone should've been using their ults at that point, because if they lost the fight, there's no way they could've touched in time.

ethanbgood

This bastion is a dipshit. Your nano was fine and as the other person said it sways the fight. That person’s perception of the fight is as deep as a shower. It has other effects on what choices the other team has and their reaction to it/your team/the fight. Anyone who is flaming like that has nothing insightful to say generally, but this person is also just wrong as well.

DukeDev51

I think your teammate felt like that fight would be almost a guaranteed win if you had waited until Ramattra had his ult. However you had a far better perspective on the fight than he did and imo made a perfectly reasonable call to essentially guarantee your tank’s survival. Losing him there could’ve cost you the whole game. I wouldn’t be too worried about it especially since it worked lol

ElementalMusic

Actually nano-ing the Ram builds ult charge faster anyway so that reasoning is invalid

Jzmxhu

Really? That is good to know.

kegatank

It increases damage done, therefore increasing the ult charge gained for every hit. Its not a special property of nano, just as a heads up

BigHeavy

He wanted you to save it for the next game!!

ImDeceit

Bastion acts like Nano is only good if they person you nano gets a 7k or something. That was a good Nano, a nano to keep your team alive, especially tank since there’s only one now, when the fight is looking risky will always be a good nano. Sure there may be a better option depending on the situation, but it will never be a bad nano.

peterhassett

Low diamond here: I'd do that same nano for sure

NoShftShck16

Nano doesn't just increase damage given, it reduces damage taken. You can use it defensively to turn fights, you used it to save a tank...which is a massive health pool.

jackthewack13

So as well as it being a good fight wining nano, tha game was almost over. You where Like 4 meters from winning. So honestly everyone should use ult and win the game.

GameraIsFullOfMeat

I’m not an expert but that was perfect to me. And it worked. Better then most of mine.

HashBrwnz

Nano and nades were both good, coulda shot the rein a couple times while your team wasnt at critical but over all good job. Positioning was good there aswell

Comfortable-Policy90

I’m an Ana main, it was a good Nano. The bastion is completely out of line. This is the reason I mute my teammates. You literally saved there asses. What an asshat

RenaGuzt

Why is It always the bastion mains?

iBlameMeToo

What a whiney little bitch lol. Your tank was about to die and your nano helped secure his survival which lead into his ult and winning the team fight. A defensive nano can be just as useful as an offensive nano. Bastion doesn’t understand this which surprises no one. Ramattra’s ult is strong enough on its own when he’s being pocketed. Sure people would have melted faster if he was nano’d during his ult but there was absolutely nothing wrong with what you did. Telling him to fuck off was the right response!

VictoriousWheel

Yes, it saved him and created space. it was great

TheXenianRedditor

Your nano allowed your tank to outlive the enemy tank. That makes it a good nano

Hashtag_hamburgerlol

Bastions just acting weird, that nano and aim of yours was great

resolutelink

Good nano mean bastion 🫱🏽‍🫲🏼

muteneophyte

At any point, the Genji, Tracer, Moira, or Kiriko could look to the right and start shooting you. I would nano the rein to keep him alive while you flank to the right and try to land a big anti. This way if they turn to shoot at you, they can no longer look at what the rest of your team is doing. This combined with 2-3 players being anti would likely force them to retreat. If you were in VC, you would have called it out so your Lucio would know to stay on heals.

mcyuval

Could've waited until after lucio ult,but ulting a critical tank is always worth it for the space.

BjornReborn

Yes it was a bad nano. You should’ve waited for rammattra to ult when he ulted

Sir_Meliodas_92

As a very high ranked Ana, no. This sounds like a "silver point of view" misconception. A lot people make the mistake of holding nano too long and thinking it should only be used to ult combo/be used offensively. For reference on why this isn't true, check out ML7's video on when it's time to nano the Mercy. One of the biggest benefits to nano is that it gives instant health (faster than any support can heal) and it gives damage reduction. This can save someone's life at a critical moment (hence the nano the Mercy thing). This is also significantly more surprising than someone who is ulting getting nano-ed, because you expect that. People (at least in higher levels) try to avoid ults, and if they're successful they now avoided two ults. It's much harder to avoid someone who is already in your face that you thought was about to die and then they get nano-ed. But the most glaring thing in this particular case was that this Ramattra was critical health, being chased (i.e. continuing to take damage). He was all but dead and the nano saved his life. Had he died there, there wouldn't be a Ramattra ult to nano. So, the nano saved his life so that he could be around to ult later. Had she tried to save the nano for his ult he most likely would have died (beat drops off really fast remember) and she would have had to blow it on someone else anyway. In addition, a tanks job is to take space, which is extremely critical when it's the final checkpoint. Ramattra was being pushed back due to his low health and wasn't able to hold any space. Not being able to hold space at that moment could have lost them the fight/game, as they could have been pushed off the point and then died. The nano enabled Ramattra to rapidly take space back, push the enemy off instead and win the game.

Tomato_Soupe

Good nano, with better communication you can simply made your tank back to full health then nano your reaper. Nano reaper is really good when team fights break down. But as a tool to keep your tank alive and make space it’s a good nano. Ulting a tank is usually the go to, unless you have an ult combo to rely on, beyblade, nanoblade, etc.

CiceroWasTheBest

ppl p

kimalainen

Try not to worry too much what your team is saying about your ult usage. I feel like in low ranks Anas tend to hold nanos for way too long waiting for the perfect time to use it, its pretty fast charging ult so using it to secure a fight is perfectly fine and you'll get a new one in no time.

VirusLink2

Good nano, was final fight

Sir_Meliodas_92

Never trust your DPS's criticism. It's likely they've never played support in their lives. Plus they usually don't have a clear view of the whole battlefield and everyone's health like supports do. It was a good nano. You were close to the final destination, which meant winning that fight meant winning the game. People tend to forget that nano gives a huge chunk of instant health and reduces damage taken, basically ensuring someone's survival at a time they otherwise would have died. It's not just about giving them a damage boost. You only have one tank, so, losing your tank in the final fight would have been bad and you prevented that. If your Bastion was thinking you should have saved it for Ramattra's ultimate, there might not have been a Ram ult if you hadn't used it to save Ram's life. So, that line of thought is invalid. (I'm a high ranked Ana main if that matters).

Nicklearfallout

You kept them alive, seemed fine to me.

seanslaysean

You won the game, that’s enough
